My experience with Triad Yoga began a few years ago because my friend took courses there and…read morebecause it was so conveniently located near my office. They offer a beginner's special - an unlimited two weeks for $25. As with any of Triad's classes, there is no need to register or sign up in advance. Just show up before the class starts and a little earlier if you need to handle payment of any kind. Parking can be hard to find at ground-level immediately in front of the studio but there is ample underground parking. The space is small and almost all yoga studio. The rear has a restroom and the front contains a small waiting room with cubbies for your personal belongings and the supplies - blocks, cords, and mats. In those first two weeks, I was tepid and only attended two low level classes. They were not physically taxing, but at the same time, I was limited by my lack of knowledge by the poses and was poorly imitating those around me. They were, however, extremely relaxing and a good way of mentally detaching from work and reality. At the beginning of each course, the instructors ask who is brand new, presumably so they can provide extra guidance to those students. In hindsight, I would comment that the instructors always asked the question but rarely assisted me with poses. In fact, they seemed to give more attention to regular students. I found out last week that I still do downward dog improperly. Why did no instructor ever fix that? A few years later, I wanted to try yoga again and purchased a 5 course package for $70. I became preoccupied with work deadlines and was forced to use the majority of the classes in a one week period. I ended up taking two courses that were slightly above my expertise, although they were billed as Level 1-2. Everything I said about the low level courses not being physical enough was out the window here. I twisted and squatted and ended up with satisfying muscle ache the next day. It was challenging for me. One of the most disappointing parts was how little instruction I received in the 7 classes I attended. I'm still very new to yoga and the Indian names for the poses don't register for me. Sometimes, I had no understanding of what I was supposed to be doing and had to wait 5 seconds to copy my neighbor. It wasn't always easy to copy the instructor because it was dimly lit in the studio (normal) and my view was obstructed by many other students. At one point, I whispered to the instructor walking by whether there was a modified pose because I couldn't do the one she wanted us to do and she very abruptly told me "I said it already but you weren't listening." Whoa, where did that come from? Did you lose your zen? The reason I asked again was because I didn't understand what she meant when she described the modified pose. Excuse me if I don't know what my "sanctum" is. I am still giving Triad a 3 star review because this is the only yoga studio I've ever attended. Maybe this is the norm but frankly, I don't understand how anyone learns when no one teaches. I somehow doubt yoga is about the blind leading the blind.

Nicole was so sweet and made me feel so welcomed! The class definitely woke my body and muscles up. It was a great class and time to wake me up for the day! The heat was nice and not too hot (104 degrees). I don't think I have ever sweat so much in my life lol The class was great, so many great poses and stretches that helped wake up, strengthen, and condition my muscles. Everyone in the class was so cool too. It was such a welcoming and communal vibe. A chill and personal community. The studio itself was warm and intimate. It had all of the tools needed for a great class. It has lots of parking, which is super nice!

She continued to check on me throughout class because I mentioned I had a back injury I'm rehabbing. She also checked me in initially because their receptionist was not available. I was so excited I purchased their New Client Special that wasa 5 Pack of classes for $99. It was only valid for a month. I reserved the Aerial Silks class on a Tuesday evening. Per the usual new studio first visits, arrive a little early to sign their waiver. I arrived about 15 minutes early and there was no staff at the front. There was a bunch of unfilled and filled waivers. Red flags leaving their customer's private personal data laying around like that. I filled out a form but kept it with me until I can hand it to staff. It was a mess of girls rushing out from the prior class and girls rushing in for the next class. Total chaos. I put my things away in a cubby and stood around until some authority person came along. I prefer the studios where you get your own silk, but at this studio they will have you share silks with other students. They divided us into a group of beginners, and another side for the intermediate and advanced students. We started off with stretches. They are super elegant and stretched with grace here. Good form. Then when we began, the instructor would give us a few steps at a time to work on, then we would piece multiple steps together. When I asked the instructor if she can help me take photos she was too busy and told me to ask another student. I paid the studio, not random students who are strangers to me. It might have been fun with a friend but I did not enjoy going alone. Especially when there's stranger armpit sweat on the fabric. Not enjoyable at all. I actually walked out before the end of class cause I was so over it. I considered coming back to another class to use the sessions I pay for. However their class times are limited. Maybe only 2-3 classes after work, but some of those classes are advanced classes or classes I don't have an interest in. While deciding on my rating for this place... a 3 didn't seem like a good fit cause a 3 is average. If it was average I would have at least came back to use the classes I paid for. As someone who goes to a fitness studio for work outs 3-4 days a week, I literally just abandoned the package I paid for and went to another studio where I enjoyed my work outs. To each their own. This place provides niche classes not every studio offers. However the classes are limited and I don't enjoy sharing space with strangers.

As of the end of this month, I will no longer be a member, and here's why. First, hygiene is a serious issue. The studio is consistently unclean and only gets properly addressed after repeated complaints. There are ant and roach traps in multiple corners, which speaks for itself. Over the years, I've raised concerns--politely and alongside other members--and only then does anything get cleaned. It shouldn't take persistent complaints to maintain basic standards. Look up at the vents and you'll see heavy dust buildup on the AC filters. This has been brought to management's attention for months, yet nothing changes. Meanwhile, the floors often have visible hair and dust, and mirrors are covered in fingerprints. When they do clean, they use overpowering, chemical-heavy products, which feels counterproductive in a space meant for health and wellness. Instructor quality has also declined significantly. Several excellent instructors have left, and the replacements have been inconsistent at best. In one class, I was introduced to a move that felt unsafe. When I asked about it afterward, the instructor said she found it on TikTok. That alone was alarming. There have also been repeated instances of instructors teaching while visibly sick. I've personally had to leave class multiple times to avoid getting ill. Only after strong complaints did this change--and now it's replaced with last-minute cancellations. On one occasion, I was already in the parking lot when I received a cancellation call. No credit was offered, despite the inconvenience. The turnover rate of instructors over the past year has been extremely high, and it shows in the declining quality of classes. Cancellations are often announced at the last minute, sometimes right at the scheduled start time, with no clear accountability or compensation. The final issue that pushed me to cancel was being charged a $15 no-show fee--despite never having missed a class. When I reached out, I initially received no response. After multiple attempts, I was connected with someone identified as a VP, who claimed I had been refunded 5-6 times in the past six months. When I asked for specifics, only three dates were provided over my 3 years as a member, and the rest were never clarified. That lack of transparency was unacceptable. I ultimately contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. After I explained the situation, they were surprised at how it had been handled and agreed the charge was erroneous. The fee was refunded, and they indicated they would follow up with Club Pilates directly. If a business is willing to lose a long-term customer over a $15 charge--and handle it this poorly--that says a lot. It's a shame it came to this. At this point, it's clear that member experience is not a priority. Between the cleanliness issues, inconsistent instruction, poor communication, and questionable billing practices, I can no longer justify staying. There are many well-run studios out there. If you're considering this one, I recommend taking a close look at the environment, the instructors, and how concerns are handled before committing.
