I took a heated yoga class with Nicole which was great! She is sooooooo sweet and really helps you get a great workout in! She even gave me some tips as to good equipment for yoga that would help me to have better results. The class I took was at the crack of dawn (for me) so I was a bit sleepy and still waking up. Nicole was so sweet and made me feel so welcomed! The class definitely woke my body and muscles up. It was a great class and time to wake me up for the day! The heat was nice and not too hot (104 degrees). I don't think I have ever sweat so much in my life lol The class was great, so many great poses and stretches that helped wake up, strengthen, and condition my muscles. Everyone in the class was so cool too. It was such a welcoming and communal vibe. A chill and personal community. The studio itself was warm and intimate. It had all of the tools needed for a great class. It has lots of parking, which is super nice! read more

I wake up every morning, excited to go to YogaSix for various reasons. I am always greeted by a clean environment, warm and friendly staff, an engaging owner, Georgia, and incredibly diverse and talented instructors. I forgot to mention how much I enjoy all the members at Yoga Six! You just have to go there and check it out for yourself. When you know, you know. I wanna give a shout out to Eva. Today, I brought my 17 year-old autistic son to Eva's TRX class. He was trepidatious and unenthusiastic about having to try something new. That is, until he experienced the patience and kindness that Eva showed him. Not to mention, the entire class cheered him on and gave him praise for trying something new. I am so grateful. All of the teachers are creative, kind, innovative, and encouraging to the students. I enjoy each and every instructor for their individuality. This is cross posted from my review on Classpass, so the initial bit of this interaction might not be the case if you sign up with the studio direct, rather than Classpass. -- I hate to write this review because I actually really like this yoga studio, it's one of my favorites in Orange County. It's super clean, the instructors have all been fantastic, especially Allegra and any of the Restore instructors. I went yesterday and was super excited because it was my first class postpartum. Granted, I was 3 minutes late and rushing in so that was on me but this feedback is for a woman who works there that wasn't the front desk person? She first berated me that I hadn't signed up on Classpass (I had). She made an unnecessary comment about how bookings close within 10 minutes of class (I reiterated that I had signed up and got a confirmation). I had to pull up my phone to show her, but of course my name was also there on the iPad after she scrolled again. Then, she told me to leave my phone on the outside. I understand this as a policy but I've been to so many exercise studios and have been respectful about wrapping my phone in a towel or keeping it in my pocket, ringer off, dim brightness. I have a newborn at home and a Tesla so it's also my car key. I was already late for class and this whole interaction was not only killing my chill yoga vibe but I felt like I was getting scolded by a parent and I'm in my mid 30s. I explained I'd prefer not to do that and she insisted. I was exasperated by then so decided to leave. She then goes, we can lock it up for you, but by then I must've been 6-7 minutes late, would've had to give someone my phone and walk in, get my props, disturb the class, find a spot, set up and so on. I don't mind that this is the studio policy, in fact, I had seen her do this before to another person when I was pregnant. I just wish she could've communicated any part of this interaction with more either grace or at least neutrality. I would've been happy to lock my phone in a locker or leave it with the front desk person. Instead, I started my Saturday morning flustered and unnecessarily on the end of someone's rudeness. Not "Restore" yoga vibes, nor general human to human kindness. I hope this feedback gets to this person and Classpass readers can be prepped for an interaction like this if you're late to class and have your phone on you. I'm not sure the studio's policies regarding lateness but I'd much rather have been turned away that I was too late! The whole argument and back and forth could've been spared and I would've understood. Being a new mom I was just hopeful to have gotten into a class in my free 1.5 hours before I have to breastfeed my kid again so it was just a huge bummer to be so excited to go back to this YogaSix and have all that happen. I will say whoever was working the front desk and phone was very sweet, I wish I got her name. I had to call back to ask that I be checked in for Classpass so at least I wouldn't get hit with a cancellation fee and she was very warm, told me not to worry about it and she would do it right there and then. So this reads as more constructive criticism, all staff should operate at that level. Please do better for your guests, including legitimate reasons why people might need their phone on them like a newborn at home. read more

I came here for a 6am class for a hot mashup class. Parking was easy and the suite was in view from the lot. I was greeted right away by Nicole who was teaching the class. They have lockers, sweat towels, merchandise, and a water dispenser. I signed my waiver and made my way into the room. The coolest part of the room is by the front door. The room is HOT - set at 105 degrees so you will sweat! The flow itself was doable and she offered ways to go further or stay simple. The music was at a nice low volume and she frequently changed the lighting throughout the class. During savasana, she fanned essential oil to our face one by one- that was seriously lovely! They have wipes to wipe down the props and your mat. After class, they offer cold eucalyptus towels- my absolute favorite. I would 100% come back, they're so welcoming and the amenities offered are wonderful. read more

I have loved my experience with YogaSix thus far! My first introduction was in speaking with the front desk staff, who I felt were incredibly welcoming and helpful (youd be surprised this isn't the case for all studios). I was really impressed by their cancellation policy, as they mentioned that in the event of an emergency, you can just text them to cancel without a fee, which really shows how much they care about their community. I recently took a Yoga Sculpt class and loved that it wasn't overcrowded, as I actually had enough space to move without worrying about bumping into my neighbor. The instructor was great and provided a great flow and solid workout. My only minor note is that I personally prefer the room a bit hotter, but overall, a great experience in a clean and friendly atmosphere. As for parking, I came on a weekday p.m. and most of the spaces were full but you could find one eventually if you circled around a bit. So I would just recommend to allocate extra time for parking. As always, bring your own mat, yoga towel, hand towel, and water bottle. They provide wipes and water refill. I'm really excited to continue trying out all the other class types on their class schedule. read more

My favorite yoga studio in the OC! I love how the classes are dimmed but not to the point where I'm unable to see the instructor. Allegra and Tiffany are my favorite instructors and they have an amazing playlist. After class, there's cooled towels that are eucalyptus scent & trust me it's like a reward after class! The staff is also always friendly and welcoming. However; the only downfall is that the locker / cubby situation is a bit tight but overall a great studio. Plenty of parking! read more

I started going to YogaSix because years of weightlifting had made me super tight, stiff, and injury-prone. I wanted somewhere I could stretch, recover, relax, and maybe stop my hamstrings from filing for workers' comp. I started with Jocelyn's Y6 Restore classes, and they were exactly what I needed. I came in just wanting to fix my mobility, but I ended up feeling much more present and relaxed in my everyday life, too. Things that would've bothered me before now kind of just pass through my mind. Even the Teams notification doesn't sound like a war trumpet anymore. I'm sleeping better and generally just in a much better mood. From there, I started taking Slow Flow, which has been an amazing way to get a solid workout while still practicing being present. Now I'm getting into Madison's Hot Yoga classes, and wow. I've been lifting for ten years and that was genuinely one of the best workouts I've had in months. By minute 20, I'm fighting for my life while she somehow looks like she's casually waiting for a latte at Starbucks. Absolute pro. The staff are unbelievably nice and welcoming. Shoutout to Savannah at the front desk for always making the studio feel chill and comfortable. Jocelyn, Madison, and Eva have all been phenomenal, and I'm sure the rest of the team is just as amazing. I'm probably the complete opposite of what you'd expect at a Newport Beach yoga studio, but somehow I felt right at home from the start. I have ClassPass and have attended this location a few times. I have done their hot yoga class and have enjoyed it. They have plenty of parking. I'm sure if you go at a different time. The parking lot might be busy because it is in a shopping center with grocery store, but I typically have gone and it hasn't been too bad. It's a clean space and the instructor is very nice. Yoga6 in the eastbluff Ralph's shopping plaza is an absolute amazing yoga studio that creates the most welcoming atmosphere to all of its members! The women who run the location are simply incredible and hire phenomenal instructors that take the practice seriously while having alot of fun. Many nights an instructor takes requests from the class for which artist they want to have as the nights playlist. I recently got an unlimited membership for YogaSix Newport Beach and I absolutely love it. All the instructors are super nice and their classes flow at a good pace where I never feel behind nor that we are holding poses for too long. The affirmations posted around by other students is empowering and the little things the staff does like hair ties in the bathroom and mints, wash clothes for sweat, and mints on the front desk adds to the entire experience. This is a small studio located in a plaza which has ample parking. The owner approached me knowing it was my first time there and not only made me feel welcomed, but gave me some tips about the area. I really liked the class I took and I'm planning on coming back next time I'm Newport. I really liked the idea of the post-its on the restroom mirror with encouraging messages, I hope someone posts a picture of it. This studio might be 30 minutes from home, but Maddy is well worth the drive. One of my good friends recently got me hooked on YogaSix - specifically Maddy's 7:30am hot yoga class. I'm not a big fan of heat, so I was pretty nervous to attend my first class. Maddy couldn't make me feel more welcome. She arrives every morning with a positive attitude and offers the most encouraging feedback. I specifically love that she asks if you'd like to be exempt from corrections at the beginning of each class. There's days that feel on top of the world and others when I'm feeling stiff and slow. It's nice to have the option to forgo edits when I'm just proud of myself for leaving bed. This class is also incredible because it follows the same flow every morning. This can be helpful for beginners since you're able to relax and little and continuously practice each pose. The other big perk to this studio is that the classes aren't filled to the brim. I've visited other practices in Newport and Costa Mesa and it's often hard to find a space where you can spread out. Really appreciate Maddy's inclusiveness. I arrived a few minutes late to class and was denied entry, even though my friend had saved me a spot, laid out my mat, and they were still in the stretching/warm-up phase - so I easily could have joined. Since I booked through ClassPass, the staff told me the best they could do was check me in so they would still get paid, but at least I wouldn't be charged a late fee. However, weeks later, I checked my ClassPass account and saw that they reported me as a no-show, and I was charged a $17 late fee. If you value fairness and good treatment, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more
