My daughter literally runs into the classroom as soon as we enter the studio and squeals with excitement throughout the class. She doesn't always follow instructions, but the teacher and her assistant are always so sweet and gentle with her. Each class is planned with fun, unique activities but carefully designed with skill building in mind. I am so grateful to have found this place! We've explored many free trial classes at gymnastics centers and other dance classes all over Orange County and really nothing has compared to this class and the patience and kindness of the teachers here. She was teaching technique along with some fun dance parties for the girls (age 6). Just know that currently only one parent per class is allowed in and the girls need to wear masks but thankful they are open! Such a sweet little dance studio.

The families welcomed us in with open arms, the dancers support each other and the teachers support each other. I believe this starts from the top down with the ownership and management. Paula is extremely hands on with the teachers, students and families. And it shows. She doesn't care just about their dancing but cares about their character as an individual. The quality of the teaching staff is exceptional; with the primary focus on technique. But they continue to grow and expand their teaching and choreography styles.They treat the kids as the individuals they are and unify them as a team as well. In the current COVID-19 environment everything has been moved online. The entire staff has been energetic and motivating. Last year was the first time she ever took classes and she fell in love from the start. What I love about Tutu School Irvine is how encouraging and kind all the teachers are. I also appreciate the structure of the classes from ballet manners, to learning new techniques, to story time, to coloring. This definitely helped my baby girl feel more and more confident each week while having fun twirling and embracing the magic in the moment. The school also puts on a Bravo Bash every spring & winter where all the dancers have the opportunity to dance on stage if they want to. This is where I can really see my daughter's personality and confidence grow. She just performed in her third Bravo Bash she's already asking when she can get on stage again lol. I…read morestarted to practice ballet a couple years ago, and I always wanted to introduce this art to my husband, who is a real beginner at dancing. The basic level adult ballet classes in other dance studios are sometimes too difficult for people who have zero background, and this could often cause them feel left behind. However, the Align method avoids this problem by providing constructive classes that help my husband to systematically learn basic skills, and also help me to adjust my postures accurately. As an adult practitioner, I am amazed by the efficiency of this method. Our instructor, Miss Kiara, is the perfect teacher that I highly recommend to people who want to enjoy dancing with good music in a pleasant environment. For me, she is very artistic. Her movements and the design of combos are smooth, elegant, poetic, and match the music well. There were some moments that I felt I was too engrossed in dancing and couldn't believe that one hour just passed. Kiara is also good at using creative ways to explain techniques, which make perfect sense and at the same leave strong impressions of the correct ways of doing a specific movement. Her language can capture the "spirit" of a movement. In a nutshell, the classes that Kiara offer are energetic, enjoyable, and most importantly, her classes will lead you to see the beauty of ballet.

Where do I even start? Align Ballet Method is the ideal program for adults who have never taken…read moreballet before and want to learn. From talking with other students in the class, there isn't any studio or program that is like this one. As a 30-something, with Kiara's instruction, I revived my childhood dream of dancing ballet. I don't have any dance experience and am oftentimes not coordinated or have musicality, but I've definitely improved so much since starting with Align Ballet Method in July 2019. I'm so, so, so happy and thankful that Kiara is able to teach down here in OC (more studios are based in LA). She is such a blessing to have as an instructor. What I always imagined how a ballet class would be like is how Kiara instructs us, her students. I feel that I'm getting professional ballet instruction with a more relaxed atmosphere where a beginner can learn more comfortably without judgment. You can advance through the different levels at the pace you feel comfortable. What makes the Newport Beach location special is definitely the great instructor of the workshops. Even if you retake a workshop for another 6 weeks, no class is ever exactly the same and you still continue to build on previous classes. I always leave each class feeling more motivated and inspired to improve my dance practice. Happy dancing!

We were welcomed by one of the long term instructors as we waited who was very friendly. During the class, our teacher was kind and walked us through the steps with ease. They had social dancing after the class and while the rest of our group left, my husband was willing to stay and try it out. Their ballroom social dances call out the appropriate style for each song, but we really only knew one or two. Our instructor was so kind to come over to us multiple times to give us some help learning the basic step for an additional 2-3 styles so we could get out on the dance floor more times! We don't live super close but I'm looking forward to returning when we get a chance.

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone at Segerstrom Center for the Arts for the incredible…read morekindness and care they showed my family when we came to see Beauty and the Beast. I originally purchased balcony tickets for myself, my mom, and my sister. My mom is elderly and has difficulty going up and down stairs. When we arrived, a very kind staff member noticed our situation and directed me to Guest Services to see if they could help. They immediately worked with us and moved us to seats that my mom could access without having to climb the stairs. Once we got to those seats, we realized we had another issue. My sister, who has special needs, has wider hips and unfortunately could not comfortably fit in the seat. Instead of making us feel embarrassed or like we were causing a problem, the staff were incredibly understanding, respectful, and attentive. They worked to find another solution and ultimately moved us down to the orchestra area where there were larger seats that worked for my sister. What meant the most to me was how much they genuinely seemed to care that all three of us were comfortable and able to enjoy the show. They didn't just tell us there was nothing they could do--they kept helping until they found something that worked for our family. I wish I had gotten the names of everyone who helped us because they absolutely deserve recognition. Taking care of my elderly mother and my special-needs sister with such kindness and dignity meant more to me than they probably realize. It can be hard to come across truly exceptional customer service, and Segerstrom Center for the Arts went above and beyond for us. I am so grateful. And Beauty and the Beast was absolutely wonderful! Thank you for a beautiful show, a wonderful evening with my family, and most importantly, for treating us with so much compassion and respect. Five stars without hesitation.

I love Segerstrom. I've been coming here for years. I've seen Chicago, Wicked, Hamilton and Phantom…read moreof the Opera here. It's a beautiful theater with mind-blowing talent. My problem is with the service here. I came here on Friday, August 21st. The traffic attendants directed us to walk one way in order to get to the theater. My mom and I then went that one way. When we got to the entrance of the theater, before the security check, one of the female valet/parking/rideshare directors berated both me and my mom saying we couldn't come this way. My mom apologized and she continued to yell at us. We were going through security and more people were going through that same way and nothing was said to them. It put a bad taste in our mouth. Then, when we entered the theater, we went to the merchandise booth, The people working the booth mentioned that there would be more shirts upstairs, so upstairs we went. We went directly upstairs, and we asked the attendants upstairs if there was more merchandise somewhere in the theater. They looked at us like we were stupid and said it's only downstairs, until one of them finally said there might be some more in the orchestra floor. Our saving grace was the worker at the merchandise booth up there. She was super sweet! It really put a bad taste in both my mom and my mouth. I really love this theater, way more than Pantages, but with workers like that, it just put a dulled the whole experience. The best part about the day spent here was the spectacular performance of Phantom of the Opera.
