I've had a number of oil changes performed at this business. After my last oil change, I noticed the smell of oil coming from my car. I pulled over and noticed that the oil filter had loosened. Luckily, I had only lost about a quart of oil in 5 miles. I tightened the filter and returned to the business to have them top off the oil. They were willing to do so and then charged me $16 for the oil top off that their mistake caused. I wrongfully assumed that the oil filter staying installed until the next change was implied with my purchase. Clearly they don't stand behind their work. Buyer beware. I would come here regularly for oil changes. They recommended that I change the oil on the transmission so I did. Turns out they did a horrible job. I had to buy a whole new transmission after that the mechanic that changed my transmission said the oil was black and told me to never go back to valvoline! Y'all I found myself in desperate need of an oil change again. I found this place on Yelp, and it's a chain. I called Salinas Honda, their price was $80. Unfortunately, Honda was booked till next week. Even though this place has coupons, it was still more expensive than the dealership. So that was disappointing. It was nice they checked my air filters, I didn't know it was dirty. Changed my engine air filter. Cabin filter was $60. Didn't do that. Spent about $125. The oil change was $10 more than the place I normally go to. I've also never sat in my car for an oil change before, and it was nice for last minute people like me. The people here are fast and professional. The only feed back I have is I wish their prices were more competitive. read more

I got an oil change earlier this week and heard a rattling noise in engine compartment after I drove away,. Looked under the hood and found: Air filter not properly put back The cap to washer fluid was left off and the cover that goes over the positive battery terminal was not put back Had oil changed there another time and they had over tightened/crushed the oil pan plug gasket so my car was leaking oil. I really don't like leaving negative reviews but this is just unacceptable. read more

Went in for an oil change, normally they do their property inspection Air filter, Tire pressure, Windshield wipers and fluid, Power steering fluid, antifreeze, Headlights, and taillights. I arrived at Valvoline and arrived on time for an oil change until we were notified by one of the employees told us that there was supposedly a lady who was waiting in a line for the oil change and the employee asked us to move our car. We were also notified that there was one bay for only the early birds and one for whoever came later, which sounds ridiculous, so we decided to just leave. I came here to get an oil change on 01/07 and they decided it would be appropriate to fill my nitrogen tires with normal air DESPITE THE GREEN CAPS Further when I advised them not to top my tires off with air, they said "oh we didnt" despite me hearing the noise..... when I asked them ate you sure you didnt because I heard it they decided to change their answer to "oh we just put a little" After being called out they asked their assistant manage Adrian what to do. Went to get my oil changed today and they spilled oil all over the fenders of my suv on both sides. They didn't even acknowledge it or attempt to clean it until I had to point out the fact that they did do it. Then they hastily wiped it down. When I asked to speak with the manager I was told that the manager is busy and would not come out to talk to customers because he is too busy for that. I was offered no free or discount car wash from next door since they no longer own the facility. Don't get your oil changed here!!!! I wonder if the Geig family still owns this place read more
