We took our very old 97 Toyota Corolla with 260k miles commuter in for some squeaking noise. Turned out it was driver side cv axel. Problem was fixed and car feels good. The girl at the front desk was professional and friendly. Glad we took our car here. Don't do it , after hearing the customers been over charge 500-1200$ for rear break replacement or thermostat replacement or $477 for simple oil change and radiator flush or break fluid lol ...yeee nope at least change the rotors as well lol. Went for Evap smoke test (good thing I scan my car with the Obd meter before) to see where it was faulty. It was $197 to check , turn out smoke was coming out the engine oil cap and gas cap. I asked how much to replace just to see if they really do scam ppl , got a quote of an additional $100 and something I forgot because I was like no way for a cap Thats worth $15 at autozone so in total $300 and something to continue yeeeea no thanks. They said they won't know exactly what's wrong until Thats replaced I refused and said no thanks I'll fix it myself. They Kept insisting and even they suggested me to go buy the caps to continue the test and yeeeea nope ,and they made it seem like I'll be back after I do buy the caps that it won't fix the problem hmmmm I wonder why lol . As soon I left I scan my car again with the OBd meter just to b safe , another code came out that wasnt there before . I replaced the cap and gas cap and decided to inspect my car the code that popped up had to do with the purge valve. SoOoo I started looking for my purge valve where it was mounted and my purge valve was missing, like no way serio found it tucked in somewhere at the bottom rear of the engine not mounted like it use to be and it was unplugged. I went in for a simple smog check. I had an appointment, but it was over an hour before that even got to my car. After they had finished the check and it had passed, the mechanic came out and said my car needed some regular services done like an oil change, air filters, etc. When I went to pay for the smog check, I was given a hard sell to let them do these services and was quoted a price of almost $400. When I said no thanks, they lowered the price around $50. I still said no thanks, but their representatives continued to pressure me. I guess she didn't think I know anything about cars and what these services cost. I know that I could have everything they recommended done at a quick oil change place for around $150. They made me rent and stay at hotels with no choice and no reimbursement. Well they didn't make me, but what choice did I have?
