I just left this Jiffy Lube today. I went in for a standard oil change. And of course they said you're gonna need this that the other and of course I declined. I opted for a filter and an oil change. And John W. Said that he would take the fee off of the invoice for the oil filter. However, that was never the case. He didn't want to give me a printout of my receipt. He wanted to give it to me via email. In hopes that I wouldn't see it. When I requested a paper receipt, he said oh well normally people don't ask for that and we customers OK and proceeded to print out the receipt. Well it was time for an oil change and since I was in Salinas, I found this Jiffy Lube. All 3 bays were occupied so I pulled into one in which David welcomed me and was so polite and truly made me feel welcomed. He did set the expectation there would be a wait in which I appreciate he was consider of my time. Waited for about 20 minutes when Chico came and was just as friendly as David. He thanked me for my patience and apologized for the wait. Once again truly appreciate this. He directed me inside and told me he would check my lights. Looking to get your oil changed, don't ever come here. By far the last place you should even consider. Went in there to do a routine oil change on my vehicle and after about 5-10 mins of waiting, the technician along with the manager, came in and told me they couldn't perform the service because the oil drain valve was stripped and if they removed it, it would create a bigger problem that would take about a week to fix. Today I went in to Valvoline and they performed the service without telling anything about the drain valve and was out of there in 15 mins. My suggestion would be to never come here and go to Valvoline. read more

I landed here on a road trip roughly 800 miles from "home." Most reasonably priced in the area by over 300 dollars! The manager Jose came to my home to service the vehicle himself for no charge. They also even offered to clean the oil off underneath my car. Stopped by here for an emergency oil change about 3/4 into my road trip. Employees are nice and very quick with service. You don't even need to get out of your car really as these essential car specialists will just have you drive up the ramp and service everything outside the vehicle. But you'll miss out on the complimentary vacuum etc. Oil change they will still change oil, filter, and top off all fluids. Expect to pay around 70 with the $10 coupon for synthetic blend (I can get full synthetic for about $50 where I live). Also the person calculating the odometer messed up by 1000 miles, so I had to make an adjustment to the sticker. Besides this, an ok place for an oil change if you're in a hurry. read more

Very friendly and welcoming environment and my car was quick in and out, even though it was busy. The quality of service they said was given is what gives this the two stars. In the photo it shows the "service checklist" however some items were very clearly not completed. They say they "vacuumed floors" and it was very clear they didn't. It says the tire pressure was checked and that the front and back were 35psi. It's not because I have low air in my back right tire and my tires are at 32psi. It says that the wind washer fluid was added when I ran out of fluid 3 days later. It's convenient to go to Jiffy Lube cause its quick and convenient, but it's unfortunate that the quilt of work seems to be diminished by laziness. read more

I had this Jiffy lube change my oil. The service was great and the techs very polite. Here is my issue, on my vacation the plug developed a severe leak 1 week after service. I could not continue my trip without getting a repair. Once returning home, I contacted jiffy lube customer service who forwarded my issue to the owner for resolution. The owner has ignored me me. Single handedly the worst experience getting an oil change. I brought my own oil from autozone and pretty much after the oil change they DID NOT hand my keys. They left my keys ON TOP of my car. I did not notice because it was a push to start. They then proceeded to tell me it's my fault, they can't do anything about it, so I had to pay for a new set of keys out of my own pocket. AVOID IF YOU CAN!!! The BAR (Bureau of automotive repair) would have a field day at this location. If I could 0 stars I would. Technicians acted like they didn't know what they were supposed to be doing. One of the technicians Erik was on his phone literally the entire time they worked on the car. Two technicians removed my engine cover (Why?) and stared into my engine bay for 20-30 minutes calling over other technicians looking for something. Made me think they dropped something, 0 piece of mind. Waited well over an hour for the oil change, was charged for a "Vacuum service" that wasn't even done yet said completed on the work order. They put on my notes "May have oil leak due to filter placement" Uhm, are you trying to cover your ass? I have a 3 year old car that's gotten numerous oil changes and 0 leaks. They tried charging me $60 for a cabin filter. Terrible customer service technicians all act as if they just rolled out of bed or are high. Came in because my car was overheating and was told I needed to replace the thermostat to fix it and that was untrue--the coolant reservoir and hose were leaking too so until I took care of that it kept overheating. They wasted an hour of my time saying they couldn't get the part and in the end they did. Update: I've had two different mechanics tell me the thermostat is still leaking and the owner and managers will not do a pressure test or take a complete look into the issue. I took my car to Jiffy Lube in monterey initially. Immediately after servicing my check engine light came on. I called them and they said I should take it to the nearest jiffy lube ASAP. Well I was in Salinas and this place was the closest Jiffy Lube to me. I explained the issue, and what the error codes were related to. They seemed rather perturbed that I was bringing the car to them. But anyway they looked it over and said there was nothing wrong with it. Well this morning I took it to a REAL mechanic and he found that the issue was the vacuum hose had been disconnected when they checked the air filter. Come on! you would think if all you do all day is change air filters and oil you would be a little more careful about what you disconnect. let me be clear. Went here for a quick oil change Around 130 in the afternoon on Monday and they had me in and out in 30 minutes they were very honest people they showed me my air filter and said while it was a little dirty I didn't need to replace it this time probably next oil change. this was reassuring because the last oil change I had at a different quick oil change place they told me I needed to replace my air filter and I had just replaced it so I knew they were just trying to sell me something. I don't live near here I was only in town for business but I would totally recommend this place. They were very thorough even reminded me about my chip on my windshield. They told me that my front brakes were fine but my rear brakes were in the yellow zone. I knew that I was needing my brakes done soon as i've never had them done on this car and it has 50,000 miles on it. If you're wondering what kind of car it's a Hyundai Sonata this is my third one. I also had them rotate my tires because that did not come with the oil change. It was an extra $25 but totally worth it. On their website they have a $10 off coupon for oil change. So out the door I ended up spending a little over $300 for rear brakes and rotors, oil change and rotating tires. read more

I took it to the dealership and they found that the drain plug had not been tightened. Had the drain plug vibrated off, the engine would have been destroyed. I went back to Jiffy Lube to have them pay what the dealer charged me. They refused. How do you forget to tighten the drain plug when all you do are oil changes? read more

I came to the service with 3 problems 1. Oil change, 2. My tire pressure indicator was low, 3. I had problem with my battery, and I wanted to be checked. I asked employee who greeted me if this all can be done and he said yes, he also suggested for me to rotate my tires which I agreed to. During the checkout I asked about my battery and tires. I was told it cannot be done. Because I have green caps on my tires which indicates I have nitrogen. He said they don't have nitrogen in their location. Also because I drive Toyota Prius they can't access my battery (I'm talking about regular battery not the hybrid one). I'm upset, 2 out of 3 things I needed weren't done. No one told me it cannot be done before my checkout. They should have told me earlier so I could go to other place who can take care of all my problems. No one offered me discount or anything. Now I need to go to another place pay for battery check, and to put air in my tires. I complained to Jiffy Lube and a guy called me saying the service I paid was performed correctly. I disagree. With the oil change there is checklist of things it supposed to be performed. You can call it complimentary but in fact they charge me $75 for labor out of my $156 bill I paid them. So those things are included in labor fee. I feel I was deceived. If I was told at the beginning all my problems can't be fixed at your location, I would not proceed with oil change and tire rotation. I will never come back to Jiffy Lube. read more

Fast, Friendly service. The men and women at Jiffy Lube are polite, professional and very helpful. I came in for an oil change. Once you pull up to the service station, there is a young man/woman to greet you and help you out of your car. Then they escort you to the waiting room where they have coffee/water, television usually set on a sports channel. They have a bathroom that's kept clean. Once they are done they inform you that they also checked if everything else was in good condition. (windshield wipers, brakes etc.) And ask when you would like to come back.
