Terrible experience - they stripped my oil drain plug, had me worried 2 hours back on the high way because they told me I would need to change my oil pan because of it. I then I spoke to manager who said I can just have it rethreaded? He kept double talking me because I am from out of state and when I said I would bring it back ( like he wanted ) still had no answers? My mechanic said re threading it is like putting a patch on a tire.. no guarantee it will work and not highly recommended.. so now I am stuck paying out of pocket to get it repaired properly ! read more

TLDR; I spent $71.18 (with a coupon) to get a partial synthetic oil change from a place that specializes in oil changes. A part of my vehicle was broken due to their negligence. In this process I felt dismissed, communication was HORRIBLE, and I get to make a third trip to get my vehicle fixed..with no ETA. On Friday 2/24/23 I stopped to get a routine oil change at the Seaford Valvoline store number BA0012. I want to make it clear, Tyler, the customer service person I dealt with on 2/24 and 2/25 was very friendly and helpful... hes probably the reason I was able to remain calm! I left Valvoline, got gas, and went home. I didn't notice anything wrong until the morning of 2/25. I was heading out to pick up my sons birthday cake when I heard a horrible noise..and I panic. I get out of the vehicle and notice something hanging down.. after further investigation..the plastic shield for the oil pan wasn't latched. The shield broke in half and the vehicle was leaking oil. 2/25 I brought the vehicle in and spoke to the manager, Will, and explained the situation. While Will was friendly I felt like my issues and concerns were dismissed. At this point I called my husband.. a bit emotional..who sent my brother up. My brother was able to get the vehicle into the unused bay and Tyler and Will both checked the vehicle out. The left over plastic piece was removed and given to me and the oil plug was tightened. Oil wasn't leaking apparently.. it was just the left over oil on the shield. At this point I was told an investigation was going to happen since I wanted the broken piece replaced. The piece was there prior to being serviced.. and was broken due to their negligence. On 2/25 I was satisfied with the fact that the situation was partially fixed.. I wouldn't have oil leaking in my driveway, an investigation was underway, and I wouldn't have a vehicle potentially oil-less. On 3/2/23 I contacted into the valvoline website to see if I could get an update on my part being ordered. Communication has been lacking to say the least. I was informed by Andrea that the part was ordered  3/1/23. After contacting via chat a manager named Zeppelin called me to give me an update 3/2/23. The area manager asked him to contact me because there was a miscommunication. He told me the part was ordered on 2/27/23 but no ETA on the part arriving. I expressed my frustration and was offered a coupon packet worth up to $200 off of services, which I declined. I will never take my vehicle back here. On 3/7/23, after hearing nothing I called in and asked to speak with Zeppelin. After a brief hold he informed me that there were no updates but that the part was ordered from Amazon. I inquired for tracking information or at least an ETA. Zeppelin did offer to put me on hold while he called the customer service people and got an answer. I declined and asked him to contact them via email and get back to me with the information. After again feeling frustrated and dismissed I contacted the corporate 800 number. During my 22 minute conversation with a wonderfully understanding person it was confirmed they lied to me when the part was ordered.. and she was able to inform me the part was out for delivery on 3/7/23. I requested to be contacted by the area manager at this point. After the above phone call with corporate I recieved a call stating the item was delivered to the store. On 3/8/23 I arrived at Valvoline at 7:15 to get the part replaced. As of 3/9/23 I still have not heard from the area manager, and at this point doubt I will. Do yourself a favor.. find a local garage that can actually take care of you and your car.. not a corporate company whose goal it is to get as many cars in and out as possible. I feel like I was dismissed and mistreated because I am a woman. read more

First I'd like to mention the one star rating I gave is too high but zero is not an option. Cost for the oil change was $77.99 with synthetic blend oil they suggested. I was then bombarded with suggestions for transmission work, adding fluids, bulb replacements, filter changes, new battery since their meter wasn't getting a reading, clean the battery terminals and so much more I can't remember them all. I was getting frustrated since after each suggestion I said I want no extras and the 77.99 was all I could afford today. They continued with suggestions anyway ignoring my request to stop with the "offers", some of which were in the hundreds of dollars. Then they opened my glove compartment to check my in cabin air filter. They removed the filter but I couldn't see it. They came back and showed me how dirty the filter was and said it needed to be replaced. Again I told them no and the tech started putting the filter back in coated with leaves and soot. I stoped the tech and asked to see the filter again and it was handed to me. I had something in the car to shake off the dirt and leaves into, and saw the filter, although not spanking new was fairly clean and a new filter was definitely not needed. They put the filter back in place and closed my glovebox. I finally paid the 77.99 and went home which is about 10 - 12 miles away. Getting out of the car I noticed a plastic piece in front of the passenger seat. It was the in cabin air filter cover the trch never put on before closing my glovebox. I do not know how or where to put the cover, so I had to return all the way back to the valvoline. When I got there and told them about the cover, I was told, " thank you for bringing it back", and the guy actually asked me where it went. Never going there ever again. Never, Never, Never. Just want to be clear, NEVER. God bless anyone who does go there for service, you will need the blessings. Be careful if you dare to go. Their main focus is to upsell, upsell and UPSELL some more. I've been taking my vehicles here for a little over a year. I had finally gotten to the point where they knew my truck. 55-80 psi in the tires(not 35 like they first tried) and to leave my k&n air filter alone..don't take out. They also had notes about my engine tap and to swap 1 quart of oil for lucas. (Which the tap goes away. Our regular mechanic has found nothing...it's a Ford ). Well, today after waiting over 45 minutes to pull into the bay a man walked by and said there's a tap. I told the girl I know, should be in the notes. She explained they probably wouldn't be able to do the oil change. Wait, WHAT?! So she scans my truck, and asks my mileage. Apparently, because I went 9000 miles on full synthetic oil and waited until my sensor popped on(which we have set to alert when we drop below 100%, not any lower) that they wouldn't do my oil change. Excuse me? So because I choose when to bring my vehicle in for a service you will now no longer change my fluids? I have been bringing all 3 vehicles to Valvoline (was 4) for over a year now to take pressure off of my husband and I. No problem. You've lost our family's patronage and I'll be sure to let everyone know not to waste their time. read more

We have been faithful customers of this location since moving to the area. Today my husband had the oil changed in his truck, a diesel, so not inexpensive. As he was leaving he heard a pop and then steadily lost pressure in one tire. They matched up the tool that was on the floor to the hole in his tire. The manager came out, holding the tool, and that he couldn't see the tool going into the tire on his camera so he wouldn't help in any way. My husband asked him about the tool, in his hand, that they had matched to the hole. And he replied that since it's not clear in the camera that this caused it we are not going to do anything about it. They have lost a faithful customer and we want to warn others to be wary of this company. read more
