The manager at this store must make a fortune on seniors. Even though I said I only wanted regular oil, he kept insisting that the new synthetic oil would last twice as long, and since it's only "a couple more dollars," I should get it. I said nah, but he kept upselling. I finally said ok. Then, he talked me into a rear wiper, saying he'd give me $5 off a $20 wiper, so I said ok. I was billed $24.95 for it, no discount. I usually have a $10 coupon, so it's usually $35. But today, even with my $15 coupon, it was $87. To add insult to injury, my grandson checked my windshield wiper fluid when I got home, and it was nearly empty! I highly recommend anywhere else! What a rip-off! There is nothing more disgusting that lying to a customer about your pricing! read more

Can someone explain to me how a simple oil change is $107? Especially when my partner went in and got an oil change for just over $50 a week before? I went to Valvoline on w Jefferson today to get a simple oil change done. Well, I thought it was going to be simple. Being in the retail business for a while, I understand making small talk with customers and producing customer service, but when it is appropriate. It is not appropriate to address your customer with, "I can tell you just showered because I can smell your shampoo." Then proceed to guess what shampoo your customer uses. Highly INAPPROPRIATE and not a conversation one should have with their customer while they have an oil change done. Also, be aware of what your customers can hear. Oddly enough I could hear the mechanics talking about losing some screws, not one or two screws, but more than that. As the assistant manager proceeds to look under my car, I text my mom telling her they are talking about how there are screws missing but they hadn't said anything to me. I pull off not thinking anything of it and just put off by the whole situation. Just wait, not even the best thing has happened yet! I'd say I make it 3-5 minutes down the road when my car makes a loud popping sound and something begins scraping the ground. I pull over as quickly as I can and put my hazards on. I call my mom on a hot over 80 degree day who now has to drive 25 minutes to come get me off the side of the road because of someone else's negligence. Mind you, the road I am on is Veterans, a very busy road and an area where it is difficult to get into the other lane. I sit here and wait as cars fly past me. Sure enough, my dad gets there to look at my car and my skid plate is hanging from the bottom, magically missing screws that holds it up! So here my dad lays on the side of the road as traffic goes by in order to zip tie my skid plate back to my car. A call has been made to valvoline but it is infuriating that someone's negligence could've ended very badly. Not to say they knew they had missing screws, but they knew. They were perfectly fine with allowing me to drive off. I will no longer be going to Valvoline due to this instance. Everyone be aware of your car before you drive off, lesson learned! read more

There was a line and I spoke with an employee about leaving my vehicle to get an oil change. He said yes, just leave my keys. I let him know what service I needed and left. When I got back an hour and a half later, my car was parked in their lot windows wide open. They pulled the vehicle in to the garage. I asked if they had already done the oil change. I wad told they just needed to ring me up. I noticed the tires still looked low and asked if they had aired them up. Another employee, the one I had first talked with, said they hadn't done anything to my vehicle. They just moved it to the parking lot. Very disappointing! Absolute waste of my time - and I almost got charged for no work being done!!!. I will not be trust them with my vehicle ever again. read more

I just took my 2010 BMW 528i in to have an oil change. I only realized as I was pulling in the lot that this was no longer a Brahler lube center. The service was very good and quick. However, it cost $99 (without a coupon) when this was a Brahler center; today it was $124 for the same service (again, without a coupon). I have no complaints about quality of work, service, or time spent, but I will not be back due to the price. read more
