I always cane to The South 72nd Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Yakima to get my oil changed but no more. My car started leaking oil. I suspected my last oil change. I thought maybe they stripped the threads on my oil plug. I had a different mechanic look at it and the Valvoline Instant Oil Change place had put on the WRONG oil filter. The base where it screws onto the engine was smaller and oil was blowing out on my starter and exhaust. It should have been obvious to the guy in the pit that he didn't have the right filter. Not acceptable. It could have ruined my engine or burned my car down! Never again will I use ANY of their locations. I should have known I guess "If you want it done right, do it yourself" read more

Had my oil changed today and they did not check my windshield wipers my headlights my signal lights did not check my air filter because they said I had striped bolts. Then when I checked them they just didn't use the correct size Phillips bit. And they kept reeming my bolts til I was just about to say stop or you'll strip them. They went on to say that I had both transmission leak and oil leak. But I had my engine entirely worked over a year before. When a asked how much is my transmission fluid diminished? They told me oh it's good you have enough. I used them for a long time but I noticed that all the people were new. I think they thought they had a sucker. read more

been here 3 times 2/3 were great! The 3rd time had an oopsie on a popped off coolant hose but was brought to the managers attention and he got us looked at and made sure we were in good hands. The worst service experience by far. I got my oil changed for the 3rd at this location. The technicians that worked on my car couldn't get my oil filter off. Dropped the oil filter in the engine bay spilling oil. Lied on the invoice saying my coolant level was checked and okay. I watched the them, not one person working on my car checked the coolant level. Unplugged 3 hoses & didn't put them back. Lied about having my air filter in stock and just blowing dust off the old one and putting back in. I honestly don't know who train these people to work on any vehicle. I dont recommend this place at all. Supposed to be a 15 minute oil change ended up being an hour long. Totally unprofessional about the whole situation. read more

When I changed my oil here they spilled some of it into my engine bay and onto the alternator. Now I'm spending $400 on a new alternator. They are cheap but sloppy and careless, and very expensive in the long run. Avoid them. read more

Took my car in for a standard oil change. First thing they do is lift the hood and go to check the oil. Guy comes back and says my oil stick is broken off in the oil tank. Mind you I had just checked it myself before bringing it in that's why I know I needed it changed. So they broke it and said they found it that way. I then called to speak with the manager who picked up and hung up without speaking to me. Then when I got home to check to see if I could get the oil stick out of the tank myself since they offered no assistance, realized they got oil all over the hood of my freshly washed dodge challenger. Unprofessional work ethic, over torque parts, skip steps, they damaged my oil canister guide that the filter sits on. The plug on the oil pan was over torqued, also. Although they say all the right things... this shows a lack of attention to detain and unprofessionalism from the top down. I was an aircraft mechanic in the USAF for over ten years. I worked as a tech at Yamhill, County shops, and have turned wrenches at other locations. Their idea of help is reimbursement after they do an investigation. This would or will take days, weeks or months in hope that you say f it and fix it yourself. This is a policy of delay and is not based on real customer service. I've talked to the claim center and the manager. It's really not important enough to them to do the tight thing. I suggest you steer clear. read more

A little sideswiped by the cost. Advertised $41.99 for a basic oil change. Apparently my vehicle takes specialty oil, and one quart more than is included in the basic price. Somehow that worked out to about $82. They knocked $15 off that price when I said I wasn't thrilled with the price -- but it was still over $20 more than I expected and hoped. Service seemed fine.
