First time coming in and I had a coupon for the oil change. They wanted to sell me a new air filter and I was not wanting to do that. The guy said it was covered by the coupon, so I said yes. What he didn't say was that the oil change would now not be covered by the coupon. Very misleading and I wont go back. read more

Employees did a sloppy job, spilling oil on engine, engine compartment, and frame of car and "cleaned" it up with window cleaner and a paper towel. They did not offer to restore to previously clean condition. They failed to check transmission fluid, did not, check tires or other fluids, did not provide a receipt for credit card payment. We were about 2000 miles over our already longer than it should have been since our last oil change. I showed up to these guys at 4:21 on a Monday afternoon and was out by 4:36. It was pretty impressive! The oil change and filter was something like $35 and they were fine with me bringing my own oil (Yay Costco!). The guys working here were all very nice and courteous. They showed me the recommended extras, but didn't do a tremendous amount of up selling, which I know we all appreciate. This is officially the quickest oil change I've ever had, and it was a pleasant enough experience that it's a place I will definitely be back to! read more

Went here for an oil change and a nice young man recommended some additional services and I couldn't remember when I last had them done so I agreed. Then his co-worker Jordan started belittling him in front of me. Asking if he had finished high school? No, I can tell! Muttering other things at him as well. I could tell the younger employee was a bit new. Then the younger employee needed codes, I think for the computer, and Jordan was quick to say he had assistant codes and how they were better than the young employees. The younger employee asks at one point if they had turned it on and Jordan says it "isn't even ready for oil and you should know these things". The young employee was asking about the transmission flush apparatus to which Jordan just says yes. The whole thing really must have been embarrassing for the younger employee who did nothing to deserve such a hostile environment and managed to stay professional both to Jordan and me as a customer. Additionally, the young employee managed to get me to spend over $300 when I came in there for just oil. However, after hearing everything Jordan had to say it really made me wonder if any of them knew what they were doing. Was Jordan even paying attention to the work he was performing on my car or was he too busy focusing on how he was going to insult the younger employee? I don't think I'll be going back to Valvoline Instant Oil Change. There are other lube shops in town. To the young man that was being harassed; you can do a lot better for yourself. They all do the best job. Good got replacing lights too besides for oil changes. Even helped with AC Freon to keep my car cool!!

Prompt, quick service while I sat in my car, good price. They checked everything. Service was friendly and professional. I have used other brands but Valvoline is head and shoulders above any of them. Only place I will go while I live in Yakima. read more

Used to come here all the time when it was Oil Can Henrys. They did a great job. Now that it's a Valvoline quick change it's a total s#|+show! I came in for a service and was told it would be a 10 minute wait because they were almost done with the car in front of me. Something happened and it ended up being a 30 min wait. While they were servicing my rig they used their prop rod for the hood (which wasn't needed) and the technician (title used loosely) dropped it on my car and put a chip in the fender. The story doesn't end here however. My wife took her car in to get serviced and when she went to leave the car would not start. The technicians were baffled and I ended up going down there to see what the problem was. They couldn't figure it out and they asked me if they should push the car into the parking lot. I said no! I want you to fix it! They said they would call their mechanic and have him come and look at it. We left. They called back later and said the mechanic couldn't find out whats wrong with the vehicle. I called our insurance company and used our roadside assistance to have the car towed to our local mechanic. About an hour later our mechanic found that there was a wiring harness that was knocked loose. I wonder how that happened? I paid the $110 to our mechanic and immediately took the bill down to the lube Center. They said they would reimburse me for the mechanic cost and needed a copy of the bill. I waited 20 minutesFor them to try to figure out how to operate their copy machine. They couldn't figure it out. I left the original bill and said I would be back later. I showed up the following week to pick up my original bill and the check for the reimbursement but they still hadn't made a copy and said they were waiting for the bill from the tow company. I told them my insurance had covered it and don't worry about it just give me the reimbursement for the mechanic. Another 15 minutes for them to finally get the original bill copied. The manager told me it would be a couple of days to a week and I would receive reimbursement in the mail. We will see. Standby! And just as I suspected it's been three weeks since I originally posted this review if not longer and I still haven't received my check in the mail! I am going to visit the store personally because I tried calling and all I get was being put on hold. read more

Amazing service! Really respectful workers and genuinely nice. Im bad at names, but I think it was Spencer....? And his crew that day were awesome. I didn't feel out of place for not 'knowing about cars', and they went over my vehicle for basic maintenance: checking lights, filters and battery. Amazing! I would recommend this spot if you're in a hurry and want good service. Definitely going back so they can take care of my "baby"(Honda CRV). Thanks gentlemen!!! read more
