I got excited to buy my first gold chain and bracelet. I was new to the scene so wasn't aware of the day light robbery jewelers do. They leave a $2500+ mark up on a $1300 item which is insane. They sold me a HOLLOW 14k gold bracelet for $3700, but they did not mention it even once that it's a hollow bracelet. And then I also bought a 14k gold chain from them around $4800. I later found out you could buy a 22k gold for that kind of money! I feel cheated on but I learned my lesson. After $8k+ investment, which I think of now as a charity on my part, I will never return again. Take care of your hard earned money folks and invest it somewhere you get good value out of it!

I went with my sister and despite being empty, no one greeted us and they couldn't be bothered to even lift their heads to look at us. Store is dirty with tons of scratches all over the counter tops. The lady who helped us was unbelievably rude. She gave short yes or no answers and cut me off whenever I spoke. I was looking at rings and she simply threw the ring tray on the counter and said "here's your size." As I looked she picked and chewed her nails and looked bored out of her mind. During checkout she couldn't figure out the exchange, so the manager got involved. Whenever I answered her questions she would rudely shout "NO" as if I had no idea what I was talking about and like I was wrong about everything. Once I got my rings, she simply shoved the rings in their boxes into my hands and sent me off on my way, and didn't even offer or ask if I needed a bag.

It also mentions something about the person's race, to which I feel it is worth replying, in the CORRECT store to be reviewed here which is Pandora Jewelers, there are several bi-lingual employees working there who are equipped to assist the demographic demands of the languages other than English which are most spoken in the area. As for the other negative comments I think we can all agree, you will almost always have that one rude staff member in any given retail store -you know the one that makes everyone constantly wonder how they haven't been fired yet. I have been to this location several times and I am always greeted upon entering, even if it's a quick "Hi how are you?" from a sales associate who doesn't necessarily wait for a reply because they are BUSY assisting someone else but still wanted to acknowledge my presence. I think some consumers need to be consciences of the fact that they are not the only ones in the room and some stores just aren't staffed with enough man power to make you feel like you are. That's reality, and that's life. Someone else posted about the staff not being able to accept a return of a Pandora product purchased outside of the store and that they should have taken the merchandise back because "Pandora is Pandora," to which I would like to educate everyone to the fact that, that is not correct. Actually, even the Pandora stores themselves are "bunched together" if you will. And something that I purchased at the Pandora store in the Walt Whitman mall in Huntington was not able to be returned at the Pandora in Bay Shore. These are corporate rules and the locations are not related to one another. I'm sure if they wouldn't accept that return, they wouldn't be able to take a Pandora item purchased elsewhere for example another jewelry store. Many retailers have the same policy -Michael Kors, Coach, etc. If you buy these products in Macy's, they must be returned in Macy's not Bloomingdales. I can't even believe that I wrote such a long winded review here, but I work in two industries where customer satisfaction surveys are taken very seriously. Initially I came here just to complement the staff and the store, but when I saw all the negativity -particularly the review posted about another place entirely, I couldn't help it.

Staff of this location are very knowledgeable and very friendly. Only downfall I saw was that there were only two employees working in the store at one time so when I came in a group of five it seems like they were very overwhelmed. I believe that if they had a little more space and a few more employees it would definitely benefit them tremendously.
