I've been a patient of Dr. Aaron Van Dyck for a couple of months. This is my first experience with chiropractic care. I suffered from chronic pain and muscle spasms and my upper back. An x-ray determined that I was suffering from a pinched nerve. Now a little over a month into my therapy, the pain and muscle spasms are gone. We're not working on a plan for better ergonomic habits, and lifestyle changes to prevent the pain from coming back. Highly recommend! I've added images to illustrate my progress... Before treatment my range of motion and curvature of my neck was deteriorating and causing nerve impingement/muscle spasms. It's amazing to see progress this quickly. It's a bait and switch. I was having a really bad sciatica flare up, and was looking for a chiropractor closer to my home. I made an appointment for the next day which was great! I asked on the phone if they accept my insurance, and the reply was "the doctor will go over that eith you at the appointment." That should have scared me off, but I was in pain and desperate. At my appointment everyone was really nice, the doctor was really knowledgeable and took x-rays. They asked me to come back in an hour to go over the x-rays and talk about treatment. So I hung around nearby, and when I came back was shows the x-rays and then talked to about an out of pocket treatment plan for upwards of $3000. My insurance fully cover's chiropractor visits. And I'm in no position to pay that out of pocket. So not only did they waste 3 hours of time, I left STILL in pain, and it was the end of the work day so I couldn't even go somewhere else to get an adjustment. Absolutely do not go unless you want to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket. read more

Hands done best chiropractor, Van Dyck! I was diagnosed with lumbar strain and sciatica at the hospital, which I was told nothing could be done at the moment. I was sent with pain killers and suggestions for physical therapy. After leaving the ER with just muscle relaxers and pain medication (which did nothing to alleviate the pain) I went in to chiropractor's office unable to walk, stand for too long or hold anything over 10 pounds. I came in to see Dr. Van Dyck due to pain in my neck and a bump on the top of my spine from poor posture, years of looking down at electronics and working at a computer all day. Dr. Van Dyck has been a lifesaver to me now two times! Once, when I was 39 weeks and three days pregnant and in a lot of intense back pain, not from labor but from tightness. I found Dr Van Dyck and he saw me that day and adjusted me. His adjustment gave me great relief plus I felt the baby drop 15 mins after the appointment. I gave birth to her the next day with a safe and smooth delivery! The second time was with my colicky baby girl. She was two weeks old and crying for what seemed like no reason for several hours a day. Dr Van Dyck had mentioned to me that he worked on newborns but I hadnt heard of chiropractic care with newborns and was a little afraid. By the third week of increased fussiness and sleepless nights with my baby I was desperate and I brought her into Dr Van Dyck. He worked a miracle on her! About 3 months ago I began suffering from severe vertigo that lasted all day and all night. It would wake me up from a dead sleep and started to prevent me from daily activities. It was so severe I began having trouble driving, walking, bending down etc. So I decided to look back into chiropractic care. I am very familiar with chiropractors as I was going to the same one for 6 years and also worked in a chiropractors office as a receptionist. So while I was skeptical about trying a new doctor with a new approach I knew that something had to change because I could not live life this way. So I took the plunge and called Dr. Van Dyck for an appointment. Immediately I was impressed with the fact that the first appointment was on the house and he requested x rays before treatment. That was a huge plus! I decided to go ahead with treatment after looking at the issues in my neck causing the vertigo via x ray. I am now on my 14th session and my vertigo has almost completely cleared up. Vertigo is a very difficult thing to treat and it requires trust in who is treating you. I immediately gained trust with Dr. Van Dyck, he was very patient with me during adjustments as sometimes my vertigo would flare up very intensely from certain positions I was laying in. He reassured me that what I was feeling was normal and explained each technique before he did it. I would say I am 85-90% free of dizziness, which is extremely impressive in just 14 sessions. Vertigo takes time to treat and patience from you and the doctor. He's great with all treatment but finding somebody with a technique that actually works for vertigo is extremely impressive. I was one of the non-believers in chiropractic medicine. No more. My story: While walking my dogs very, very slowly--after throwing out my back for the very first time that morning by lifting a door mat--a lovely couple I met on the street referred me to Dr. Van Dyck. I sought the help eventually, after my back mostly healed. It was the 'mostly' that got me to seek help. I'd been to chiropractors twice before, for a neck and knee injury. Those two times I felt my body healed on it's own. And then neither chiropractor had looked holistically at the complete machine of my body. Dr. Van Dyck did take a holistic view and fixed way more than just my back for me. He is so thoroughly fluent in chiropractic medicine, it's like breathing to him (so it seems to me). He is also so very personable. As is Ashly in the front office/lobby. (There is a community of lovely people / patients I've met in the front lobby.) Dr. Van Dyck solved a long nagging problem with tightness all along my right side, in my hip, leg. I didn't know I had sciatica. The discomfort wasn't enough to seek help for, but once it was gone, wow, did I feel 20 years younger. (I am more than twice that old.) The joy of movement was amazing! That and my neck, I didn't realize my movement was diminished, but once I had it back via adjustments, wow, felt light as a feather. Then there was the headache relief. Dr. Van Dyck relieved pressure on a nerve that was causing a headache and nausea. OMG, relief. I feel like a much younger person now after slight, but nagging discomfort relief and getting back motion I hadn't realized I lost. I am otherwise very healthy--slim, active, rarely sick, few injuries. I never thought I needed a chiropractor.
