I love this place and go every month for a little tune up. I first went to Dr. Gassia when I injured my lower back at work. My injurywas so bad, I couldn't stand up straight. She placed me on a massage bed to warm up and relax my muscles and tailor the adjustment to my needs. My boyfriend treatmentd included an adjustment and massage, so he appericates it is all in one building. Lastly, I have PPO and my boyfriend has HMO. Dr. Gassia is AMAZING!! I came in for my first appointment to get help with pain in my lower back and tailbone area. I was in bed the day before with severe pain in my tailbone and could barely move. I was literally crawling to get around my house. During my appointment, Dr. Gassia went over my symptoms with me and really took the time to listen to what was going on. She was very professional and patient. After the consultation, she gave me an adjustment that helped my back relax and she gave me recommendations on how to keep my back from tensing back up. This review is for massage only. That was literally the worst massage of my life. I don't think Jim has ever given a prenatal massage before. I feel like I just wasted an hour getting rubbed with oil and laying in my back for the second half of the massage and now my lower back hurts!! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO LEAVE A MASSAGE WORSE THAN YOU CAME IN. I'm so angry. I came here for a prenatal massage two years ago, I don't remember the female masseuse's name, but that was great which is why I came back now that I'm pregnant again. Great Chiro Care, Glendale or otherwise... I have been to many chiropractor offices, since my move to Burbankand I'm glad I finally found this place. The doctors here are excellent, so great that when my 16 year old son had a sports injury I immediately took him to see Dr Yulia and Dr. Gassia. They have made a world of difference in his health. We found that his back responds best to the clicker rather than straight manual adjustments. It doesn't look like it is doing anything but he swears by it... For me the electro-stim and roller table make the difference. The office is professional, quite and clean, and the receptionist was kind and helpful. What more could you ask for. read more

I have a severe and debilitating lower back disease that prevents me from getting normal adjustments. Dr. Gassia helped me through my entire pregnancy, and then after the baby she continued to help my body adjust back to normal. She even adjusted our 6 month old, which helped him sleep and have regular bowel movements again (he was having some sleeping issues due to gas and some constipation). Let me start by saying I wasn't super optimistic that acupuncture would help as I've always viewed it (and other eastern practices) as not very legitimate. Well, turns out I was wrong. Doing acupuncture with Cindy in addition to strength exercises at home I have finally seen improvement after 2 years of rehabilitation and sort of just accepting constantly being in pain. Now, my injury was unique in that it was a functional problem at its core, but it involved visits to physio, osteo, sports medicine, and a variety of drugs including NSAIDs, Prednisone, and Codeine. Two years ago (age 32) I injured myself doing deadlifts and had what Doctors believed to be a slipped disc. The injury brought a great deal of pain along my sciatic nerve and lower back/hip region. After a bunch of Doctor visits I was finally making progress and the back pain eventually went away. However, the pain had moved to the front of my hip and knee exposing what was most likely the cause of my original injury: weakness and instability in my glutes, hamstrings, and knee on my right side (probably from an old knee injury). It was very noticeable once I became aware of it. Even going into a squat position you could visibly see some pronation in my knee as it rotated inward while sitting down on my squats. My physical therapist was seeing improvement although I was still in a fair bit of pain. He suggested I try acupuncture which was covered by Kaiser. Trying to keep an open mind I said ok. Glendale Chiro Care seemed to have good reviews so I gave it a shot. I've been seeing Cindy once every week or two for about two months now. We first started with acupuncture but then incorporated cupping -- focusing mostly on my IT band as it feels super tight and "crunchy". After my 3rd visit is when I think I started seeing improvement. Now I am practically pain-free, just focusing on strength and functional training. In my opinion, everyone is different and what works for one person might not work for another. Sometimes it takes a combination of western and eastern medicine. Try to have an open mind! TL;DR - Acupuncture and cupping with Cindy has given me worlds of improvement after 2 years of trying everything. No more pain! Thank you for making me a believer :) read more
