Imagine my surprise when he finished filling all three cavities and handed me a mirror. The fissure was gone! I was in tears. It was all I could do not to hug them both! I called three offices in the area, and Steim Family Dentist was the only one that offered to get me in the next day!! Fast forward to procedure day. The front desk employees are welcoming and efficient. The office is clean and cozy. The dental assistant was so cheerful and helpful. She made sure I was comfortable and helped me feel calm. Another woman came in to inject the numbing medication. This woman was the absolute best!!!! I never felt the pinch or the pressure of the injection that I have always experienced in the past! From my Dentist Laurel Dental Clinic ...... remember this name if you're in Port Angeles and forgo any appointments there. The letter said they were terminating my visitation rights "due to my repeated refusal of recommended treatment" including a referral for a periodontal dentist. Actually, what happened is I didn't take their referral for a periodontal dentist assuming I could make my own decision. Be careful big brother is watching out. I didn't decline essential treatment as it says in the letter. I declined their referral. I've been going to this clinic for nine years. .... Paying cash and have never had a problem. This is the most obscene letter I have ever received, and I am warning those of you in Port Angeles who use the clinic to terminate your visitation. No wonder this clinic keeps changing Dentists. I bet the pay schedule there is nominal because they keep refusing patients. At this point I drop dead before I would return!!!!!!! Laurel Dental Clinic needs new management!!!!!!

During the exam, Dr. Boyack came across as flippant and dismissive, which didn't give me confidence in the care I was receiving. The cleaning later that day was performed in a rough and unskilled manner. I was uncomfortable throughout the appointment and ended up with pain that lasted for weeks. After the appointment, I expressed my concerns and the staff didn't seemed surprised. The next day I was told the cost of the cleaning would be credited to my next visit. When I later decided not to return to the practice due to their inability to give pertinent information and offer timely services, I requested the refund that had been offered and the office refused to issue it. Communicating with the practice to resolve the matter was consistently difficult. They will also tell you that you need to pay them $150 to be evaluated before they can refer you to a specialist. First, you can refer yourself to a specialist and second, this office caused the pain that I needed to be referred for, so that was completely unreasonable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice. In fact, don't walk, RUN from this office!

Awful customer/patient service. They are lucky haven't taken my X-rays, showing the failed root canal, from my new dentist to a lawyer yet. Do NOT go to this dentist. A very large practice. I haven't been a patient long enough to have a personal experience with the…read moresame people that work there. Care has been good, no complaints there. I had a billing issue in 2025 and left emails and phone calls that were never answered or returned calls. In January the office was going to bill what should have been my primary insurance and reimburse the insurance that paid as prime. There was a possibility I had overpaid. As of July I haven't received any new eobs from insurances and no follow up. Feel like this is the result of wanting lots and lots of patients but no time for individual concern, Not sure if they are lying about contacting the VA for my husband or if the break down is from Community Care. Dr Irwin accepts VA patients and payments but the whole process of getting approval is up to my husband. It seems when we call the office they are ready to help then months go by with no contact. He finally has some sort of appointment in December 2026, it's now July 2026 and the last time he got care was October 2025. We are stuck with either finding another practice or just being a number in this large practice.
