It was oozing a little pus and no one seemed confident in clearing it. I even had an "endoscopy" cleaning from another dentist and it did not work. They did not do nearly the job that Judy Carroll did. Judy did full mouth anethesia and took nearly 3 hours to clean out all 4 quandrants of my mouth. She was thorough, committed, and has given me numerous resources to get at the cause (occlusion being a big one). I flew out from CA to see her and boy was I grateful I did. My tooth infection that had been plaguing me for 8 months was gone the very next day. I was ecstatic to say the least. I would never, ever get a basic deep clean scaling and root planing again. I had it 4 months before seeing Judy, and had a ton of build up still present. If I can help it, I would never see a practitioner who doesn't use a microscope properly again. I went and saw Dr. Z because I needed help this year with pain and decided to face the music. Dr. Z is very calm and soothing. He gives you honest answers and lets you decide what to do and also spells it out for you what it will set you back financially. I was relieved to discover that he can save my teeth. I do not need them extracted. I am so glad I went to see him, now he has a fan for life. Just today I had a root canal that was so fast and painless I wasn't sure it even happened. Ha ha, it did. He listened to everything I had to say for at least an hour; I really felt listened to. He examined my teeth and gums and let me say anything else I felt might be relevant. He wound up advising me to see my dentist three times a year instead of two, but did not feel I needed periodontal treatment. I was disappointed not to expect to see him again.

Doctor Sul Hong took my case even though I had been turned down by two other Seattle implant specialists. My sinus lining was successfully raised, and it took a lot of bone placement to build up my upper jaw for implants. Dr. Hong carefully monitored my healing (as I have other health issues). I now have implants placed and I am ready for the teeth to be set on the implants. Only local anesthesia was used to not interfere with my healing process and other medications I take. The Doctor is a good listener, and made sure that all of my concerns and issues were addressed before the surgery. I had her do 2 dental implants for me. I am very pleased with the results ! The process was smooth, and most professional. For the first implant I elected to be awake during the surgery. Everything went nicely. The Doctor, and her Assistant, Shauna were efficient and very thorough. (Shauna was so nice, too !) During the procedure they provided me with details on where in the process we were. There was no pain during the procedure. The pain after surgery was just for about one day. It is now over a year later, and I am most pleased with the surgery; the implanted post; and the top tooth. I had a second implant recently. For this tooth I chose to be sedated during the process. The implant went smoothly, and the results are great ! In a few months I will have a follow-up exam with the Doctor, and the schedule the top tooth. I don't remember much from the surgery, but observe that I have a great implant now ! The "support staff" in the office are excellent. The Front Desk staff person was detailed and helpful. The clinical staff were professional, and kind. Throughout the process, there was good attention paid to my comfort; and the overall focus on a "good outcome". Dr. Nagatomo is very experienced and well educated in this profession.
