We came on this day to grab some donuts before we headed to Jersey to do something else, and ended up getting some different types of donuts including Boston Cream. The donuts were so fresh and tasty. I love a Boston Cream donut and This one did not disappoint. The custard in the middle of the donut tasted so good and I was surprised as how filled it was which is always a plus. I would've rated it 5 stars but the lady working wasn't very nice and had a bad attitude. Plus they only had a few types of donuts to choose from which was strange.

I wish it had more of the hazelnut flavors coming through, but it was still good. My son was quiet and devoured whichever flavor he had. I had a cup of Kimbo espresso with a side of sparkling water. Kimbo isn't my favorite brand, but the espresso was a great side companion to my gelato. Suddenly, Bristol Borough has one heck of an ice cream scene. Pop's has Bassett's, Spad's with their delicious flavor combos and now Caffe Giovanni bringing authentic Italian desserts and gelato to Lower Bucks. Life is good! Thanks guys and see you soon!

Our family used to be big fans of the eclairs from Elite Bakery since last year when my god mother ordered their eclairs for her husband's birthday, and my mother was a huge fan of the raspberry eclairs. They were a big hit at the party as well. When we heard that we would be having Elite Bakery's eclairs again for my sister-in-laws birthday, we were so excited and couldn't wait to try them again. Unfortunately it was a big let down. It seems the baker had to make budget cuts on the ingredients and changed the recipe completely of the dough, the cremes and of the topping on top of the eclairs. The dough now tastes tough, dry, and the overall flavor is lackluster. The cremes used to be very light and airy with a nice taste of whichever flavor they were inspired by, but now tastes very heavy and doesn't have much flavor at all. The toppings used to be a light layer of white chocolate with whichever flavor it was inspired by, but now it's a heavy glaze that seems to be made of gelatin and it's heavily colored with artificial colors. Yes the look of the eclairs is very aesthetically pleasing with the gold details, but at the expense of the flavor, they are lying to their customers. We will not be returning here, especially not for these price points.

Most recently I attended a bridal shower and I was taken a back by the detail in this lovely three tier, three flavor cake that matched the bride's wedding colors perfectly. The all sugar monogram at the top was flawless and the polka dots were perfect, and had edible bold, shimmery glitter! It was an outstanding cake! Most of these fancy decorated cakes I have come to find only look good and lack greatly when it comes to taste. This is not the case with Karolyn's masterpieces. Everyone "oohed" and "ahhed" while they tasted each of the different layers in one cake...chocolate cake with chocolate icing, raspberry vanilla pound, and chocolate chip with buttercream. I tasted the icing on the raspberry slice at it was soooo delish!! Like omg delish. This mama who has had such bad experiences with birthday cakes over years that she swore off these types of places is considering using Karolyn's because of everyone's reaction and how gorgeous this last cake was! I would highly recommend her for your special occasion.
