We had these donuts for a donut tasting contest and only had the glazed and cream filled and the cream won 1st place and the glazed won 2nd up against some big named bakeries and donut shops in the area and around NE Philadelphia. We came on this day to grab some donuts before we headed to Jersey to do something else, and ended up getting some different types of donuts including Boston Cream. The donuts were so fresh and tasty. I love a Boston Cream donut and This one did not disappoint. The custard in the middle of the donut tasted so good and I was surprised as how filled it was which is always a plus. I would've rated it 5 stars but the lady working wasn't very nice and had a bad attitude. Plus they only had a few types of donuts to choose from which was strange. read more

Our daughter prefers donuts to traditional cake/cupcakes and this is our second year in a row going to Piazza's for a birthday party dessert alternative. Their donuts and donut cakes are such a big hit! They are delicious, soft, pillowy and baked to perfection. They are also great at helping to personalize if you have a theme in mind. Attached photo shows the giant donut cake (my fave!) with purple icing and "unicorn glitter" and then individual donuts with different colored sprinkles. Will definitely be back again! read more

Not sure what to type other than Amazing. In and Out in 4 min and the donuts are awesome. If you ask them for a specific donut that is not out, they will make it for you on the spot. Housed in a former convenience store, Piazza's Bakery does all its work in their large workspace and ovens in the back room. A large tray of yeast glazed pretzel twist donuts was coming out, and I immediately pointed to it, saying, "I want some of those!" Great choice, because they were terrific - light, airy, mildly yeasty and, oh, so, perfectly glazed. Very reminiscent of Crispy Kremes classics, but bigger. The brownies were just as impressive with a layer of chocolate icing above dense chewy choco base. Their croissants were also good, but not as flaky as a French boulangerie would create. Their were plenty of cookies, fruit pies and customized celebratory cakes that looked great, but were beyond the limits of my sweet tooth. Didn't see much in the way of bread or rolls while there, but that could have been a question of timing. Piazza's is worth another visit. read more

I recently just purchased cupcakes for an event for my job & I was horribly embarrassed!! The cupcakes were very dry. I ordered the cupcakes on a Tuesday for a pick up on Wednesday evening (mind you, the event was on Thursday morning)....I called to make a change on Wednesday at 7:30am & I was told that the cupcakes were already made! I called several bakeries from Bucks to Montgomery counties and no one except Piazza said they can make the cake that I had a picture of. I was blown away how wonderful it looked and how much it looked like my picture. They made it exactly how I wanted at a price that did not break my bank. It was the center piece of the dessert table and everyone commented on how wonderful it looked. Besides looking great...it was delicious! It was made of pound cake with a raspberry swirl. A few years ago, Piazza's was my go to for a treat bakery that I visited frequently. I absolutely LOVED every single cake, donut, pastry, etc they had. Unfortunately, the quality has completely went down. The last time I was here I got a single cupcake and rainbow cookies. The cupcake was cold when I bit inside it, the texture of the cake was not soft but more not used sponge like and almost tough. The icing tasted very bland. The rainbow cookies were a let down - while fresh, they had absolutely no authentic Italian Rainbow cookie flavor. read more

Cake with buttercream frosting is good. They offer whipped frosting (did not like as much) and several fillings for their cakes. Customer service is always great! We used to get "long johns" here when I was younger.....YUM! Also their chocolate raspberry "pretzels" are delicious! I now limit my bakery treats but imagine it's all good here! read more

We wanted a Valentine's desert, so we randomly picked a bakery and we're glad that we found this place. It's a small bakery that smells like heaven when you walk in. The staff was all friendly and the treats all looked awesome. We had chocolate heart cakes and they were so delicious that we were licking our plates clean. Everyone was so disappointed in the wedding cake Piazza's made for us, this past weekend (8-07-2010). It was suppose to be a butter pound cake with chocolate ganache filling. The cake itself was dry and very hard around the edges. It had to have been made days ahead of time, then frozen!!!! The choc. ganache filling was horrible! We could not taste any chocolate at all. The outside of the cake was a disaster!!!!!! It looked like a child made it!!!! What a waste of money. A wedding cake it the focal point of the table.... Grateful that they're able to make specialty cakes for people who have dietary issues however I'm pissed off that we wanted them done at 10 then they said they couldn't make them till 12 then they couldn't make them till 130 like so that means that people who cant eat ur standard cakes have to wait hours and hours and hours after their party in order to have their cupcakes or cake read more

The first time was a last minute decision and bought what was ready and they were able to personalize it for me no problem.
