Although this experience was fun and informative, I feel it was a little less immersive than others I've experienced like this. I went at about 3pm on a Saturday, and the line to get in wasn't long at all. There was an option to choose Titanic or Van Gogh, regular ticket($40) or VIP($60). It started with a timeline of his life, and some of his most famous paintings. There were 2 different large rooms with the paintings from his Japan trips and flower series projected everywhere around the room. I'd bring a jacket because it was really cold in few places. You can take as long as you want, but it really doesn't take much time to get through the entire thing. Maybe 40 minutes if you're reading everything. We got the VR experience added for $5, and that was cute, but nothing to really write home about. At the gift shop, I got a sunflower tea set ($30) & the large can of blooming tea ($19.99). Those were my favorite part. Then as we exited, we were able to draw a picture and have it animated on a projector for a while. read more

Ok I'm definitely guilty of hyped up experiences here. BUT I also don't appreciate art the way I feel like I should. Either way, I was a little disappointed in the overall experience. I don't know if it was the social media that hyped it up too much and made it seem like something it wasn't or what but I don't know if I would go again. Maybe it was due to the venue itself, I just felt like I wasn't as immersed in the experience as I wanted to be. I visited the summer of 2021 when the experience first popped up in Atlanta but probably won't be visiting again unless they make some big upgrades. There was plenty of parking but not free, FYI. The whole Van Gogh exhibit prior to the room you see all over social media was similar to most art museum exhibits you see, but pretty in depth. We didn't pay extra for the VR experience, which maybe why it seems like the experience overall was just ok. The Immersive Experience room was pretty freaking cool but also felt not quite worth it. At the end was the VR & coloring stations, and of course gift shop. The coloring station seemed a bit silly for adults but great for if you brought the kids. After purchasing a cool Van Gogh magnet in the gift shop, we were in and out in about an hour? We immediately headed for the food trucks and alcohol tent upon exiting. Kamayan and Wild Leap were there at the time so it was great trying some tasty Filipino food and some boozy slushies. So the TLDR? If you're going to do the experience, do the whole thing with the VR. Otherwise, it may be an ok date night kind of pregame? But don't expect it to WOW either. read more

Getting the tickets was a pain because they don't take checks so it makes it very difficult for schools, but once we got that settled, the exhibit was great. Mr. Ray, the tour director at site, was amazing (as were all his team). He was a pro with our students and our needs. He addressed some other loud patrons for me when they caused some drama...handles three large groups at one time, really went the extra mile for us. I was extremely pleased as my kids really enjoyed it. I have been before and value them adding a Japanese room, and they upped the cafe game as well. We will continue to visit these exhibitions if Fever continues to support great local workers and great content. Well done. read more

Visited the Van Gogh pop-up in late December. I saw it all over Instagram (including on ads) so it's clearly been marketed well. However, I found that it didn't live up to the hype. The structure of the building is as follows: you go through the short exhibit of recreations/projections of Van Gogh's art, then you enter the large immersive room, then there is a coloring station and VR station, then the gift shop. It takes about an hour and a half to go through. The VR experience was allright but not a necessary experience. The immersive room was the best part - it's pretty calming to sit and watch the animation and music and narration. They even have mats on the floor if you'd like to lie down. It was pretty crowded when I went and I saw that there weren't enough seats for everyone and some people had to stand. I wish it spent more time showing the famous paintings of Van Gogh, but you have to wait a long time past the biographical parts of the show for the more aesthetic parts. I think it loops around every 30-45 minutes. I got some nice pictures from it but don't think it's the most valuable activity for the cost. It's a chill activity that is somewhat family-friendly (I found some parts of the show to be dark thematically) though. read more

I love art and music. I was so excited to finally get tickets and go see this experience. It's good for anyone of any age. The music combined with the art was fabulous. As you walk through the exhibit, you get a very detailed account of his life and how he was such a tortured soul. Quite sad, but I'm glad the world gets to benefit from his work. I have seen ads and posts about the Van Gogh Immersive Experience all over social media for a while, and I finally visited the Atlanta location with my husband and friend. It was definitely a cool experience and something different to do, but we felt it was slightly disappointing compared to our expectations. We didn't feel the value of the experience was as high as the price of the tickets. And I did not like that the gravel parking lot was a paid lot. That said, I would still recommend it if you're interested in going! There are three parts: 1. Exhibit about Van Gogh's life and work. 2. The Immersive Experience. 3. A coloring station & virtual experience. (We didn't do the virtual experience because it cost extra.) The exhibit was interesting and we also liked coloring a sheet with his artwork on it at the end. We loved the Immersive Experience. There are blankets set up all over the room and you just post up and watch the walls change scenes and tell a story. It was really cool! And it took up the largest chunk of our time there. (I'd allow for 1.5 hours total probably. We rushed because the parking was by the hour). read more

Honestly this was a MUST SEE MUST DO EXPERIENCE. If you love art or not this is AMAZING. Let me start by addressing what I read in a ton of reviews saying it was H.O.T. Inside the building. They have 1,000% fixed their AC issues because we were cool as cucumbers the whole time. The low down on the layout itself. You start off walking in and they scan your ticket and you're off to the experience. The first room is a lot of history and reading as well as a few cool projected experiences. Did you know Van Gogh was color blind? The experience around that was really cool when they showed the different colors. Second room has three really cool feature experiences and a bunch more information. I honestly didn't know about some of these facts. The bedroom paintings were great. I confess I'd only seen two variations of it. Third room is by far my favorite. 360* surrounded immersive experience. Projections on all the walls and the floor. I won't give any of it away too much just will say that you need to stay there for awhile to see all of the different projections. Finally you have the VR experience/coloring fun where you get to be your own artist and color in some Van Gogh paintings as a coloring sheet. The VR experience is well worth the $5. Lastly get there early if you have a later time or plan to stay a bit after if you have an earlier time. There is food and entertainment outside the event. We didn't get there early as we ate down the street at felinis but we wish we would have so we could have enjoyed some wine and the live entertainment. read more

If you are lucky enough to get tickets for this exhibition - please do not hesitate! It is magnificent! It is visually breathtaking and heartbreakingly tragic. He was consumed with an addiction to create while simultaneously battling mental illness. His life cut short, but his brother and more importantly his sister in law helped to preserve the masterpieces we have come to appreciate today. Little known fact ... VanGogh was colorblind! Think about that as you look at the abundance of rich colors and pigments he used. What did HE see? It's at the Pullman train depot on the outskirts of Atlanta. Plenty of parking - $5/hour ... we bought 3 hrs worth! (Paid electronically). We also had timed entry tickets. Although they let us in about 15 minutes early. It was more crowded than I anticipated & at times a bit uncomfortable- even though masks were mandatory at entry - too many ppl felt they were above the rules and pulled them down ... no one managed behavior that inside. Sometimes hard to read the displays due to volume of people. Take your time! No need to rush. Once inside the second space - sit on the floor (as encouraged by the throw rugs!) and stay for the entire immersion! Pay for the Virtual Reality ticket upgrade and walk through the fields of France and the works of the master! It is only 10 minutes and I know it took thousands of hours to compile - but I could have done it 5x more! Absolutely no words to describe how fabulous it was! This is a fantastic exhibit for all ages. The Atlanta location at the Pullman train yard was outstanding. Plan for a parking charge using your phone to pay. There is plenty of parking but you may have a brief walk to get to the exhibit. Outside the main exhibit center is a fantastic area for wine, craft brews, drinks and food for a pre or post exhibit treat. Tickets should be bought in advance. We used the Fever app to buy tickets. I recommend the VIP tickets because of the virtual reality experience and a poster. One last housekeeping item - they required masks to be worn (this is months after Ga lifted the mask requirements). It wouldn't be a problem, but the staff in the gift shop were rude to kids and adults alike if their mask slipped below their nose. I heard people say it ruined their afternoon, and that is a shame. It wasn't crowded so it seemed excessive. On to the exhibit. The first part consisted of a museum type presentation of reproductions with great Van Gogh history and insight. There is a virtual base that changes the flowers to match many of the sunflower series collection. The next room had a replica of his room right from the picture (see if you can find the error). There is a 3D piece, a film, and more. Take your time here and don't rush. The main attraction is the virtual experience in three parts: virtually gallery, the living art of his most famous pieces and the art of his last days. This looping, live exhibit runs about 25 minutes. Seating is very limited so older patrons need to get the benches and center seating. Everyone else can sit on the comfortable floor and rugs. The room is cool and comfortable (I could sleep there) and the exhibit is very Disney-esque. It is terrific. Take it all in. There is no hurry as there is plenty of time to see this living exhibit in all its color and splendor. For VIPs, the next step is a 10 minute virtual reality experience that takes you from Van Gogh's bedroom, through the hay covered fields, through the woods, and down to the village by the river. Along the way you be treated to his art in the life around him. It is really something special. There is a place to color your own Van Gogh if you like. Lastly, you end up in the gift shop which was a bit underwhelming, with very limited items. It also was crammed into a corner and was less roomy than other areas. And the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. But I won't ding the exhibit for this. Just be prepared. Missed opportunity to truly capitalize on a wonderful exhibit. The entire visit lasts approx 75 min with the VIP part of the tour. We hope you and your family found it as enjoyable as we did. read more

We mostly had a great experience at this venue. We learned a lot about Van Gogh that none of us knew! We purchased three 7pm VIP tickets. We got there right at 7 and paid to park. We went in and went through the first few sections of the exhibits which took us about 45 minutes. This is where we learned so much. There was a lot of reading to do! We then entered the Immersive Experience and sat on a bench and began watching. Finally three chairs opened up and this made the experience much better! It was amazing! After we had been in for about 15 minutes a staff member informed me that they would be shutting down the Virtual Reality soon and we should go in there if we wanted to see it. We were not allowed to come back into the Immersive Experience again but we had already paid for the VR so we went. We did not get to see the entire Experience. Very disappointing! We felt a little cheated and very rushed! The Virtual Reality was absolutely amazing! I'm so glad we didn't miss it. Don't buy tickets for 7pm unless you are a speed reader. Go earlier so the staff doesn't rush you through because they are ready to go home. You need at least two hours to properly see everything. If we hadn't been rushed through and we'd have been able to enjoy the entire Experience I would have given them 5 stars! read more

$5 VR experience can be purchased there- much recommended! Price point was a bit high for our taste since it totaled out to ~$46 total excluding parking. They charged for parking which was unexpected given where we were in town. Really fascinating experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. We learned so much about his life and how his craft changed as he got older and got insights into his tormented mind. Required masks but I did see no enforcement of how they were worn. I was pleasantly surprised to find just how much I enjoyed myself visiting this exhibit. Although I was very aware of his piece, Starry Night, I didn't know too much about the artist. I learned more about his works and I absolutely loved the interactive aspects Things to know before you go: Tickets. These tickets go fast, especially since it's timed entry. So if you're thinking about checking out this exhibit, head to their website to see available dates. Parking. Download the ParkMobile app because that's how you'll be paying. You enter the zone your car is in (should automatically pop up) and you set the timer for how long you think you'll be there. I don't know if it was just Myrtle Beach or what, but it was absolutely awful. I wanted my money and time back when we left. (Found other cities with the same complaints and even more bad reviews. So it's not just us) Do I recommend it? Absolutely not, I could have done the same thing at home with my projector. Actually my tv would have been better. Save your money. 10/10 do not recommend and here is why: When we got there, we walked down a small hallway of facts and some were not even true. BUT it was a total set up for what was coming. I knew we were turning the corner and was so excited. Then bam! I could feel my face saying WTF is this and my soul leaving my body in disappointment. I kept thinking, I've danced on stages bigger than this. I have walked runways bigger. It was legit the size of a dance floor. The white drapes are full of creases with white duct tape to hide the holes. The projectors are shaky, the lightening was awful, or maybe it was just intentionally deceptive advertising. It was so dull and faded that I kept thinking where is the crisp and brightness. The venue had wayyy too much light coming in. We stayed thinking we lost a room, we stayed thinking it would get better, we stayed because we couldn't get our mouths off the floor in disappointment. All in all, we tried to like it, but at the end of the day... it's not worth it. Even $10 would have been too much for that. Save your money, catch a flight to NYC for a day, and go the to MET. See his phenomenal paintings in person and actually be able to take it in. Legit the only immersed I received was my disappointment and wanting my money back. I kept saying false advertising. This place was wonderful! I loved walking around and seeing the prints of his art, and the information about his life and works. My favorite are the Irises and Sunflower works, and of course Starry Night. It was suggested by a friend and I'm glad we came. The immersive experiences in Japanese art tying into Van Gogh's works was also very interesting. The themed coffee bar was also so tasty! 10/10 would recommend the Café Van Gogh drink. I was so excited about this exhibit after seeing the commercials. We bought the tickets for the VIP experience, which includes, 2 drinks, 2 Van Gogh posters, and a VR session. As soon as you enter, there's a massive daisy flower display. Definitely Instagram-worthy. Then, you'll check-in and start your tour. I have been to other Van Gough exhibits and I felt that there should have been more to the exhibit. It was an extremely fast tour. Our daughter said several months back to mark our calendars - she got us tix to see 'The Van Gogh show". So, even though we'd just driven back from Atlanta after a 10-day visit, off we went to ATL again for a short 3-day trip (this time we flew). Little side note to start: there are actually (count them) THREE different VG 'immersive' shows around the world, something I didn't know until I did the research. There's one called "Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit", said to be the original; (and for my Orlando Yelp friends, that's the one gracing our city later this year); then there's "Van Gogh Alive", mostly in Europe, but coming to Denver, along with this, the Atlanta one we took in. Even though I've only seen the one, I believe all are the same concept, with variations in execution: there will be elements of the pained painter's life and his most famous works "brought to life" through set after set of stunning visual displays, backboned by some amazing music. This show is in 4 different sections. The first two are slide shows in a darkened room, depicting Van Gogh's somewhat tragic life, and the background/history of his most famous works. No, despite their claim, no social distancing here, folks, although masks are mandated. Some presentations are more dynamic in nature (that vase with visuals superimposed on it, for example). An understanding of what Van Gogh went through could fill one with deep sorrow: I know I lost it when looking at the Room at Arles, and Debussy's "Rêverie" came on. The third section is the pièce de résistance: instead of the museum-feel of the first two halls, you are now in a huge room with what looks like 60-foot 'walls', which are canvases for the fantastic presentation. Flowers bloom and transform right before your eyes, Two Crabs are now scampering around, a horse-drawn carriage is moving along the wall, and the black birds in Wheat Fields with Crows are now flying ominously toward you in a way that will make Hitchcock of "Birds" fame proud. Guests can sit on benches in the center of the room, on a few low-slung chairs along the walls, or on the floor (it's carpeted, but no, don't dress fancy for this). I think I broke a record snapping photos and recording videos for any one event. TIP: chairs along the walls might be in high demand and therefore enticing, but some of them are actually not conducive to enjoyment without distraction - the projectors (there are dozens of them) could become a glare in your eye during certain portions due to the low angle of your sitting position. The final section is 'activities': you can either create your own version of a Van Gogh painting (we passed - short on time, plus I'd decided I'm done with 'coloring' activities after kindergarten, but this could be fun for kids of all ages), or pay $5 extra for the VR. Depending on how you feel about VR (some people can't wear those goggles without feeling claustrophobic), it might be worth it. It's not a short little thing, and we did get something out of the experience. Then there's the obligatory swag-selling before you exit. Hearing the "cha-ching" when reckoning that poor Vincent sold a grand total of ONE painting in his life, with both he and his beloved brother living a life of destitution ... that just filled me with infinite sadness. Even though your ticket is for a specific time, and they say the show 'lasts 60-75 minutes', I'd encourage you to set aside 2 hours or more. Linger in the first 2 sections: take in EVERY exhibit, and make sure you take in the entire 3rd section presentation. Don't rush or hurry. Use the appropriate amount of time to let the beauty soak into you. Have a quiet time of reflection later at a cafe or bar - it'll be good for your soul. Most of them keep the location in each city a 'secret' until close to opening, to have a measure of marketing mystery, I suppose. In my estimation, it doesn't matter which of the three or where exactly it will be - it will be awesome. Tix were $32, I think, with the weekends 10% more. The other shows topping $40 before taxes and fees, $10 more for peak, but I believe it's well worth it. I might very well do the Orlando show when it comes to town, and I'll definitely find an off-peak time instead of a weekend afternoon when it will be more crowded. So, if it's in your city, or it's a city you're visiting, GO! read more

Not covid safe. Do not go if you are concerned about Covid. They are "mandating masks" but are not making people put them over their mouth AND NOSE. We saw several people take their masks off and no one enforced the mask mandate once everyone was in. There was NO social distance. People were ARM TO ARM. ARM TO ARM. This is NOT anything anyone should be doing during covid. There are far to many people in here for this tiny building. We are so upset we drove across the state after believing they were following strict covid protocol, and it turns out this is what the situation is. The manager is very condescending and will tell you they are "following CDC protocol" there are way, way, way to many people in that tiny building. This event was thought the roof! Growing up with a father who is an artist and taught art at a respectable College. I picked up his fondness for post Impressionism art. Visiting many museums in my lifetime. I understand the nuances in what makes this movement a movement. Van Gogh is no stranger in this legacy. However in his short life he far amassed a huge collection that seems inconceivable and his ability to see despite he being colorblind to capture the nuances of light ( the absinthe helps too). What most people don't recognize is the fact that Matisse, Renoir, Van Gogh, and many more paint a still life on one canvas that hits a particular subject at a specific time and quickly changes to another canvas when the light or the sun moves and quickly captures that essence at that time of day. This was a fun time! Well constructed exhibit where you can learn a ton about Vincent Van Gogh, and the actually immersive experience was neat as well. HOWEVER, this was NOT a COVID-19 precaution experience. Soo many people were placed in one room. I had to keep nudging my fiancé for us to continue down the exhibit even though we wanted to read and learn more. They certainly did not time it well, or do a headcount, but just flooded people in a semi-small area. Unsafe!!! Uncool!!! As a visual designer, some of the animations for the visual experience were a bit clunky. But it was still well executed. I would like to see more seating for people, however. read more

The Van Gogh Immersive experience is a visual treat. The exhibit is a 20000 feet area with light and sound experience inside Van Gogh's tormented yet brilliant mind. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would love to visit a second time! ~~ Tickets ~~ Tickets were tough to get : we booked in March, well before the exhibit was open to the public and the earliest date we got was June 19. We booked VIP which was on the expensive side. Last I checked, September had available slots and July and August were limited. ~~ Parking ~~ Parking is easily available. We parked right next to the shed - zone 50101 - which you can pay directly using the ParkMobile app. ~~ The Experience ~~ We were the first batch of people getting into the studio and folks were already lining up. They opened up at 9 AM sharp . Masks are mandatory inside. Kids are welcome. As you enter, there's a beautiful wall of sunflowers - a tribute to Van Gogh's more cheerful works. Inside, there are several mini documentaries playing on screens and displays of Van Gogh's various works and events in his life. I felt the mini documentary on "The Starry Night" was interesting and touching - I highly recommend it. They also recreated Van Gogh's room at Arles and displayed his paintings of the rooms. There's also small phase in his life where he was interested in Japanese art - they've depicted this in various exhibits . I found "The Courtesan" ,unique. Next came the immersive experience - it's a large room with multiple projectors and places to sit . You are the taken on a journey in Vincent's mind - his brilliance, his passion and his pathos . A poignant story about an Artist who saw the world differently and eventually gave up on the world. The whole experience is beautiful. The next room had a painting activity for children - to paint your own Van Gogh and display it on a projector screen . Right next to this is the VR experience - which is amazing! I highly recommend trying this ! Once this is done, you exit through the gift shop, where the VIP ticket holders get a free poster each. I agree with one of the reviews that says that this "Experience" felt more like pricey marketing hooie. I think a real museum with authentic art would be far from enjoyable. The 1 hour visit was not worth the cost of entry, and parking for what amounted to a nifty, meditative projection room that was awfully crowded (why make guests wear masks if they're all smooshed together?) A beautiful, informative, arty, sad, enlightening experience. I loved every part of it. I only wished there were more! For ppl comply about Covid - wtf. Everywhere we go there are ppl. There's limited space. It's an art exhibition- if you want to be 6ft apart then back BACK! Ugh. Honestly I viewed what I wanted to view, wore my mask (they were required AND supplied) and moved on to the next thing. The immersive experience was phenomenal. I recently went to the Van Gogh Immersive Experience in Atlanta, GA. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I appreciate their commitment to requiring masks, the cleanliness of the facility and found the exhibit to be well organized. I did expect more artwork, but enjoyed the explanation associated with his different period collections. The immersive room was a definite highlight. We actually watched the entire thing twice, which I would recommend because you miss aspects the first go around. One negative I will share was the virtual reality experience. It is an extra $5. Since the price was lower, I thought it would be a nice addition to the day. You might as well pop a Dramamine, because the quality of the VR is so poor that you will walk away feeling very dizzy. I spoke with a few other friends who also shared the experience about the VR. One of my friends had to remove the VR in the middle of the production due to vertigo sensations. There is a nice color station for those with kids. The parking does cost extra, FYI. There were food trucks parked outside for those who wanted to grab lunch and talk about the experience. Overall, I learned a lot about Van Gogh's life, which was the entire purpose. Enjoy! read more

This was advertised as a covid safe experience with social distancing in place. This was important to me as someone who works in health care... feeling safe and 6 feet away from strangers is everything I want, and why I paid for VIP access. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. and about 80 other strangers were headed like cattle into area 1. This area required reading the poster boards along the wall. They waiting line was 5 people deep, 10 people wide. It was so crowded, 2 feet was the maximum distance to the next stranger. I could read nothing and would read nothing unless I was willing to get up close and 1 feet from strangers. All who have also waited weeks to months to attend and I doubted if they felt sick would stay hone. Based only on my eye expressions, my husband cleared the way to help me flee to the 2nd area. Which was an improvement At 2-4 feet per stranger. The kindest thing I can say about this area is: it was difficult to see where one projector ended and another began. The most honest thing I can say is: ALOT OF DRUGS ARE NEEDED to enjoy this room. There is no rhyme or reason to the presentation, fade in and fade outs. All I can summon is that the creator of this "show" was high after viewing a VanGogh exhibit. Yeah for him, it's not as fun when it's not your "trip". Area 3 which I paid extra for VIP service features "Crayons and playtime" - where your color VanGogh 's master pieces in crayons. I'm not kidding. Then for extra $$$ (which I already paid for) you are treated to a trip around the property where VanGogh rented a room. Only this VR version is "guided" featured scenes from his notable work and VR graphics from 10 years ago. I'm not kidding, my husband'a Quest is hands down, 10x better and it's a game. Not to mention the 17 year old fast talking snot nosed brat who slammed a VR headset onto my head by mounting the pressure from my eyes to the back of my head and screwing it shut. 2 minutes in my head was splitting before I tried adjusting it myself (no one seemed to notice the woman on the scooter grabbing at her headset or they just ignored me). Finally i found the Vice grip that had attached the thing to my forehead and loosened it so that the elastic top absorbed the weight. Finally the s@it show ended and I was paroled out of the Vice grip/ head set. But at last ... the gift shop... what shall i choose to remember my 25 minutes in hell with Picasso, or was it Bob Ross??? I no longer know at this point, i just want to leave! But my lanyard is grabbed and im handed a poster to remember this by. WTF am i gonna do with a tiny poster that says the VanGogh Experience on it??? Oh! i know! Use it as a reminder to warn other people before they waste money on this circus. Seriously if i get the Delta variant from this exhibit I will sue them blind because they didn't put that dumb disclaimer on the door about entering at your own risk. read more

When I saw the commercials for the Van Gough exhibit I really wanted to go, so I purchased tickets. The actual experience was lackluster for me and left me feeling like there was more to be desired. The immersive room is cool, you could spend maybe 20 minutes in there, the show is on a loop. Folks sat on benches or lounge chairs, the floor, watching the walls change colors. There was an interactive experience where you color your own art and upload it to be displayed. Unfortunately that was broken so it was basically just coloring a picture. Staff was friendly, and I appreciate all the Covid precautions that they took. That being said, this experience was just OK for me. read more

Stunning experience that raises a lot of profound questions about Van Gogh's life and the arts in general. The exhibits give a comprehensive portrait of Van Gogh's life and the main room is amazing. The pairing of Van Gogh's paintings with animation, music, and Van Gogh's own quotes creates a spectacle unlike any other. I give it 4 stars because I have mixed feelings about a for-profit endeavor making huge amounts of money off of the work of an artist who was neglected, unsupported, and disregarded in his lifetime. Imagine if society had actually supported Van Gogh during his life so maybe he would have not descended into poverty, madness, and ultimately suicide? How many more paintings would we be able to enjoy today? The same goes for so many other others like Mozart who died unnecessarily young in large part due to society's neglect. I'll get off my soapbox now and just say if you go here please support artists that are alive and often struggling to make a living just as Van Gogh did as well. We never know just who might be the next great artist so if you enjoy art, support the artists. read more

What an experience! We enjoyed it from start to finish, so well done! The venue was great, the parking was not an issue. We arrived at 5:30 and got a spot right in front. The parking app was easy to use and just took a few minutes. The food and drink truck area was not crowded, had plenty of options, and we ended up having a great meal at Kamaya. We picked a great option, the SPAM sliders on purple yam buns with purple cabbage were absolutely delectable! We also had the beef rice bowl which was so tender and tasty. We had a great time before we even got to the exhibit. I was astonished before we even got in side, and in tears by the time we got to the first digital experience. It was so endearing and touching. I had read several negative reviews, and all I can say is that those people must be Scrooges, heartless, because we were so moved by everything we saw and learned. Even sitting in the big room with all those people, it was magical and entrancing. You felt like you were living inside the paintings. That feeling carried on all the way home with us, we kept commenting " doesn't this feel like van Goghs cherry blossoms? Isn't this just like his painting in the forest?" We were so glad we did the virtual reality add-on at the end, it was like taking a 10-minute trip to France 200 years ago. It is as the title describes, it is an immersive experience that has to be experienced, words cannot really express the powerfully emotional impact of the exhibit. read more

Amazing. Interactive. Best of technology with nest of artistry. Folks say take about an hour to move through the exhibit ... I was there 2 1/2 hours and could have easily doubled that and still wanted more time. The eating spaces outside are NOT wheelchair accessible. Sure - on flat ground. But have to cross a railroad track and attempt to navigate gravel and very uneven surface. Not at all feasible. A shame. My five stars are for the exhibit only. read more

The Van Gogh immersive experience was incredible! I felt like I was in the artwork and that I got to know Van Gogh even more as an artist! Sitting in the room that was immersed with his artwork was breathtaking. If you can, definitely do the VR experience- so cool! We had the best experience. read more
