The Super Bloom at the Atlanta Botanical Garden was such a beautiful sight and happy I got to see it. Tickets run about $26.95 for standard adult admission, with slight variations depending on the day and if purchased online or in person. Given the sheer scale of the grounds, it feels like a fair value. I went on a weekday, which I highly recommend. Parking is incredibly straightforward, you park right on-site at the SAGE Parking Facility. It starts at $3 per hour, but keep in mind that the garage is entirely cashless, so you will need a card. Also if there is an event at Piedmont Park, parking may be impacted. Check-in was quick, and while there were visitors, it never felt crowded or overwhelming. The entire experience flowed smoothly from start to finish. This is perfect for a solo adventure. They were celebrating their 50th anniversary with the Super Bloom display, and it showed. There were over 200,000 tulips and spring bulbs throughout the garden. When I reached the Great Lawn, it opened up into a full sea of color. The visual texture of so many layered, vibrant petals blooming all at once was stunning. Each section felt different. One moment I was surrounded by vibrant florals, the next I was walking through lush greenery that felt almost like a rainforest and the air was so clean. It naturally slowed me down in the best way. The Orchid Daze exhibit was a highlight for me. It was calm, lightly fragrant, and tucked away enough to feel like a quiet escape. I ended up staying longer than expected. It would have been nice, if they had more dedicated seating areas. There weren't many spaces designed for just sitting and being, closer to the flowers especially if you wanted to relax without being in the middle of foot traffic. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. There were also great spots for photography, I saw everything from casual photos to full-on portrait sessions. On-site Dining If you plan to stay for a while there is a restaurant on-site, which is convenient. The menu was simple, light bites, sandwiches, and seasonal options. Pricing was about what you'd expect for a major attraction, averaging around $25 to $40 per person for a casual lunch. Overall: A way to slow down and take things in. Peaceful, beautiful, and worth the visit. I'm already curious to see how it will transform for summer.

My experience at this botanical garden was pretty mid. Not worth the $35 paid in my opinion. The garden overall was pretty neat and clean. A good place to walk around. However, the variety of plants and exhibits weren't very impressive. It was also disappointing to see the lady flower landmark not fully ingrained with flowers around late April. The most impressive part to me were the greenhouse plant exhibits. There was a good variety of plants there from different corners of the world. The outdoor exhibits were just not that interesting. Parking is an additional charge, so my friend and I did free street parking nearby and just walked to the entrance. They also have a couple food options within the gardens. My friend and I got some popsicles for $5 which was nice since it was pretty humid at the time we went. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend, but I didn't have a terrible time here.

Perfect for a spring day date. Lots of little areas to explore and beautiful gardens. All the areas are well maintained and plenty of areas to admire and relax.

I would recommend that everyone try the gardens at least once. It was my first time, and I just felt like it was an okay visit. I was told to try going during the Christmas and fall holiday events.

Beautiful. Loved that they had so many tulips! They're my favorite flower! There's a cute little playground for kids there. Also exhibits you can walk through. We were there with my niece and my brother in law saw a little boy in the play structure with his pants down pooping. Parents really need to watch their kids... Other than that, it was beautiful.

What an amazing place to visit! A friend showed me pictures of her visit here a few years ago so I knew that when I returned and had time this would be one of my stops. My granddaughter enjoyed the children's play area and spent some time there with her dad and myself. She didn't wanna leave when she realized she could build a shelter. The children's area has so many options that it helped make our visit even more fulfilling for everyone. I didn't realize how expansive and extensive the grounds are. If I lived in Atlanta, I would have a membership. We noticed many people taking pictures and having photo shoots, which made sense. There are so many golden spots at I don't think you can lose. I would definitely return and recommend that you visit if you haven't been here and you are in the Atlanta Georgia area it's right by Piedmont Park.

We got the family pass. It's a no brainer if you are going to go at least twice in a year. Best to go during the week. They are even open until 9 pm in the summer. Less busy during the week around 6 pm. Beautiful grounds and nice shade. We went during the Niki sculpture exhibit, which was pretty cool. Love the orchid house.

One of my fav spots in Atlanta on a pretty day! They are always working on beautiful exhibits and something new to see. These are photos from Spring '26 and it was amazing!! One of my favorite visits I've ever had! I will say it gets very crowded on the weekends, so if you can do a weekday visit that's best!! Parking also gets full, so if you aren't able to get a spot, there is street parking around.

Amazing garden with a lot of sections to room and explore. The garden is well maintained and beautifully curated. Definitely a great half day excursion.

I have been taking my students here on a field trip for years, before the Canopy Walk. Every one of my students love it now as they did then. From the vibrant colors of the flowers, to the Rainforest and seeing the poisonous tree frogs, we are amazed! The walk is not too long and cooking in the morning hours is the best. Keep in mind, that a lot of moms come with their babies and toddlers, so prepare elementary kids to move gently throughout the garden. As we study plants in my Science class, bringing my students here enhances their learning experience. We will continue to come back for this great experience.

The Alice In Wonderland exhibit was one for the books! The garden is very large and you can spend at least 2hrs there, so bring comfortable shoes. Rain or Shine you'll have a great time. If you appreciate nature & art, you'll love this exhibit. I believe they change exhibits seasonally, but check the website and Book your tickets!!

Absolutely loved this botanical garden. We hesitated about visiting at first because it was a hot July day, but since we were just in the area for a few days, there wasn't the option of returning at a cooler time. I can say even with the hot weather I am glad we made the decision to visit. Tip: get there at opening if possible. The summer theme was Alice in Wonderland and they had some creative and beautiful topiaries that went with the theme. The topiary of the queen playing croquet with the flamingo was truly stunning. There were multiple gardens each with different themes and styles. Several had lovely sculptures showcased. The conservatory was huge. It had numerous rooms with different "climates". The orchid room was lovely with a myriad of orchids displayed in artful ways. There was also an edible garden. It was full of herbs and vegetables and edible flowers. They had a kitchen exhibition with tastings in this garden. The recipe of the weekend was an amazing fried okra -with samples! There is a parking garage on site as well as a restaurant and a cafe. Plan to spend a minimum of 2 hours and perhaps more. Well worth the price of admission.

Came here for the Cocktails in Wonderland event with my husband and friends and had a great experience! The gardens are absolutely beautiful, with different and interesting gardens every few feet. Most of the gardens are outdoor, with something buildings that house plants as well. During the event, there were beverage and snack stations setup throughout the park, and walking around with cocktails and beers, while enjoying the beautiful gardens and live music was absolutely wonderful. We had a great time, and I'd absolutely love to come back here again.

Ask the Community - Atlanta Botanical Garden

For Christmas Night Lights, is it better to buy tickets at entrance? And if so, what time is reccomandable to arrive there? Wanted to ask because it is my first time at this location, thank you!

It's better to buy the tickets online and arrive at the earliest time that is offered each day. Weekend nights are obviously busier. Arrive 30 minutes I'm before your designated time to ensure that you have time to park in N their garage. Atlanta…

    Where do we park?

    They have paid parking on-site.

Do I have to buy tickets beforehand?

If you're not already a member of ABG, it's highly suggested that you go to the website and buy timed tickets (you select the date and time you're going to arrive). You're guaranteed admission by buying timed tickets. Otherwise, you can risk…

If it's my first time visiting the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, approximately how long should I expect to be there if I'm touring the entire garden?

    Without rushing, 3-4 hours.

Is it a general admission ticket to do cocktails in the garden?

    Yes

Can you bring in a bag?

    Yes

Would it be better to buy tickets online or in person at the venue? Which is cheaper?

The prices are the same online and in person. The only difference is there's a 3.00 transaction fee online. I would consider buying online to prevent standing in long lines. If you're lucky enough, try Groupon, they may have a discount.

    Can you buy tickets online?

Yes. However sometimes their website crashes!

    Is there a fee?

    Adult - $21.95 Child ages 3-12 - $18.95 Child under 3 - Free

Can you bring in outside drinks?

No but i THINK water is ok

How long does it take to leisurely get through the whole garden?

I usually go with my elderly mother in law and spend 2-3 hours there. Some of that is just sitting and enjoying for a moment...especially the orchids.

Am I able to walk through all things with a double stroller (bob duallie) or should I leave the stroller at home?

I would bring the stroller because there is a lot of walking and if the kids get restless it'll be easier for you. The paths are wide enough and everything is stroller accessible because it has to be ADA compliant.

Is there lots of shade throughout the garden?

Yes especially near the front of the park around the statue of the frog

With weak or no cellular signal or Wi-Fi available within the gardens, visitors can pay full attention on admiring the beauty of nature. The gardens occupies total of 376 acres, featuring over 250 acres of landscaped gardens divided into several distinct sections: the Japanese Gardens, the Monet Waterlily Gardens, the Daffodil Gardens, and the Manor Gardens. The Japanese Gardens occupy a central position within the estate, covering 40 acres and featuring streams, ponds, miniature islands, small bridges, and Japanese maples. As one strolls through this section, one can deeply contemplate the core tenets of Japanese aesthetics: *Mono no aware* (物の哀れ the pathos of things), *Wabi-sabi* (侘寂 Wabi-austere beauty and sabi -rustic patina or beauty in aging), and *Yūgen* (幽玄 profound and mysterious grace and subtleness rather than obvious beauty. mystery). *Mono no aware* is certainly palpable here; the seasonal colors are vivid, yet most of the tulips have already faded. However, visitors do not see the withered blooms, as they are swiftly cleared away. This practice is, in fact, an authentic element of Japanese aesthetics--one that does not seek to deliberately pander to visitors. After all, imperfection and impermanence inevitably evoke a sense of melancholy, which lies at the very heart of Japanese aesthetic philosophy. As for *Wabi-sabi* and *Yūgen*, they are subtly woven into every detail of the landscape, inseparable from the whole. I could sense the garden's inherent simplicity and minimalism--its use of "negative space" and evocative atmosphere--such as the circular stone steps leading into the lake, only to come to an abrupt stop. Is it perhaps an example of the essence of sudden enlightenment found in Buddhist philosophy? Throughout the gardens, various Japanese-style shrines and stone lanterns are scattered everywhere, exuding that distinct aura of ethereal elegance and profound tranquility characteristic of traditional Japanese gardens. The floral plantings are meticulously designed to rotate with the changing seasons: spring brings a display of tulips and daffodils; summer features water lilies--specifically in the "Monet Water Lily Garden," which boasts 140 varieties of lilies and a replica of Monet's bridge; and autumn offers a vibrant tapestry of colorful foliage alongside sweeping fields of Sulfur Cosmos wildflowers. I visited the Butchart Gardens in Victoria over 30 years ago--a truly stunning garden that, at the time, was awash with tulips. In terms of sheer size, Gibbs Gardens is more than six times larger than Butchart Gardens.

Somehow the hype around this newest exhibit has been low, and as a result, it wasn't crowded at all on a Wednesday night when we arrived right at dusk. In fact, you could have walked right up and purchased tickets without even waiting in line. However, online/advance purchase tickets are available. While $20+/person is not exactly cheap for a stroll through a park, the lights are truly works of art, and it is is easily possible to spend several hours being mesmerized by the displays.
