Cute spot with patio seating! Perfect for lowkey outdoor drinks. The prices are reasonable and workers are nice.

Easily one of the best spots I've been to in East Nashville. Such a warm weather vibe place as well with the picnic tables and plentiful outdoor seating. We got the whipped feta, steak, scallops, and Brussels. You order at the bar and then get a number and take a seat. The staff were all super nice and smiley which is always the best after a long week! I look forward to coming back and enjoying more menu items.

Absolutely obsessed with this place, cannot get enough. They are AMAZING! Service NEVER disappoints, food is superb and the atmosphere is perfect

Van Gogh's has one of the best patio's in town, but if outside isn't what you are seeking the inside is spacious as well! Everyone that works there has always been exceptionally friendly! The prices are great, it's rarely too crowded, they have a great wine list but also speciality drinks! On the patio there is ample seating, they had bug spray, and citronella candles avaibile for guest to use. This place is very laid back and the perfect spot to meet up with friends. In the past I have also tried the cheese board and was impressed with the variety! Overall, it's such a great local gem!

was such an amazing experience, friendly service and genuinely the best scallops i've had. all of the food came out so fast despite servers saying it might be a minute (a lot of people walked in at the same time). highly recommend, will try to visit again as an out of state person!

I love this new neighborhood establishment. It has a lot of character, a massive back patio, and it is located in a cute old house turned into a restaurant. The house was previously a restaurant prior to them moving in, but it has been maximized in the best way possible. My hair stylist, Emaline, is a bartender here. She works at BBC Salon in the day and here by night. She is a great bartender and is able to multitask really well. I had no idea she was such a great bartender. Girl has an art with hair and drinks. That was apparent while maintaining the bar, but also serving up drinks for the waiter who was focused on the patio patrons. We saw Kevin, the owner, come out a couple of times as well. He was manning the kitchen. Kevin is one who has a lot of accolades behind him. He has been on the Travel Channel, Food Network, has a couple of cook books out, and is a well renowned chef. Granted, I did not know any of this prior to meeting him tonight. I feel like I should have being that he is a kind of a big deal in the food world. He was nice. What I think you will like about this place: - No price gauging. What you see is what you get. All glasses will range from $6 to $15 a glass. House wines taste good! Cocktails are $10-13. - Knowledgable staff. Everyone knows what they are doing here plus they offer warm hospitable personalities. - They have a good variety on the food menu. Now, as of this review, they have been open for six days. Things are working out well thus far, but tweaking is bound to happen as they learn the ins and outs of what does and does not work. I tried the truffle fries and enjoyed them. I will need to come here for a proper dinner. They have some decent offerings and the patrons next to me were enjoying their meals. - Easy to park. Park on the side street or on the front of the building. No qualms about finding anything, but a Thursday night out is different than a weekend. Use your best judgment. - Your neighborhood bar. This place is not trying to be something its not. They are focused on the neighborhood feel more than trying to be some hip place that draw in the tourists. Though tourists might find their way here and are welcomed, the focus is on the neighborhood it is surrounded by. East Nashville. In conclusion, I really hope to see this place thrive. I think they have something to offer and I look forward to see them grow into their own.

I walked by it a couple times oblivious to the magic inside, I am so glad I took the suggestion and finally walked in. First off it is a wine bar, and really thats it. Full license for liquor and beer, but they are focused on wine and they know their stuff. It was so nice to be served wine by someone in a tshirt and without the snobbiness of terrior, just a glass and company to enjoy it. On to the details: There is a menu, half just bites like olives but there is a solid burger toward the bottom, They have a patio out back (I heard, but well over ninety degrees even at night I took their word for it. The pool table in back was nice, but a couple glasses if wine in, I know my limits. There was a couple recod players and a great vinyl collection in the corner, but the soundtrack playing was great so I never needed to peruse the collection. Once the place filled up (and it did, apparently it doesn't need any signs for the ones in the know to find it) it dod get pretty warm, the A/C units barely kept up, but it was neevr unpleasant. Word is the back patio also has another building that may become a cocktail bar in the future and I can't wait for that...

On top of that, our server was hands down the best we've had in a long time. The drink menu was a little limited, but every cocktail we tried tasted really good. We started with the Caesar salad, and honestly that was the one miss of the night. It had a bit of a weird taste to it. Everything after that was fantastic though. I got the lamb chop and my fiancé got the filet, and both were cooked to perfection. For sides, the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts were standouts that I highly recommend. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and two iced coffees. The coffee was good but the food was, honestly, borderline inedible and not at all what we expected. What was even more disappointing was the response when our server asked how everything was. We were honest and told her we didn't like the food. Her only response was, "Awww," before walking away. There was no offer to make it right, no follow-up, and no manager checked on us. When our table was cleared, our plates were still nearly full. For a bill of around $100 for brunch for two, I expected much better food and customer service. The beautiful setting wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing meal and lack of concern when we shared our experience.

To begin, we were pleasantly surprised that our table for 10 was ready as soon as we arrived, expecting to wait a bit for such a large party. Once we were seated, our server Oliver immediately came over to explain the tapas menu and get our drink orders. Tapas are priced $7-$20 à la carte, or you can order different tasting menu tiers based on what your group is hungry for. We ordered the $35 tasting menu (tapas only) and it was more than enough food! We tried the whipped sheep cheese, flank steak, garlic mushrooms, shrimp, patatas bravas, salmon, and more! We also ordered a pitcher of red sangria for the table that was delicious. The incredible food and the attentive service made Barcelona the perfect meal for a group of old friends to catch up. What is the point of making a reservation if you are going to be seated 45 minutes after your scheduled reservation time? But if a guest checks in even slightly after their reservation time, they can be removed from the list, charged a fee or, in some cases, even banned from the reservation app. The expectations should go both ways. Unfortunately, the host experience made the situation even more frustrating. I watched the red haired host at the front desk seat people who appeared to be friends ahead of parties who had reservations. I even heard her say, "There's no manager tonight, I'll seat you guys now. They're putting silverware down." Meanwhile , we were still waiting well past our reservation time. Our only saving grace was our server, Shauna. This restaurant needs to hold onto her. She was an absolute light, and her personality, attentiveness, and recommendations completely saved the vibe of our night. She deserves recognition for the experience she provided. We will absolutely come back for Shauna but the restaurant as a whole could really benefit from a new host rotation and a serious look at how reservations are being handled. Don't let your hosts run a little high school hierarchy of seating their friends before reservations and returning locals. If you're going to take reservations, we honor them.

We were seated in the back room patio, and at first I got really worried since it was in the nineties and super humid, but pleasantly it was airconditioned and had some low speed fans so it was pretty comfy. Service was great, our server was super friendly and really knew the menu and could speak not just to what we asked, but also made some great suggestions. Now, pretty sure this menu is super seasonal, so my choices may not be available when you read this, but highlights: Wood Fired Bread with Anchovy butter: solid, crusty (but not too) with a rich whipped butter, devoured quickly, but enjoyed the light smoke char. Snapper Crudo: Okay, the peaches threw me when I read the menu, but they were fantastic! Just a little spice on the agua chile, perfectly cured fish and really nice presentation. Tomato Salad: Perfectly ripe and sweet, the cherries and olives were easy to confuse until you bite into them, but they were both fantastic Wood Roasted Carrot: the carrots were a little inconsistent in size, and thus in softness. They were all good, but some were absolute heaven Octopus: generous portion, and perfectly cooked. The wood fire was not overbearing as it didn't taste smoked or burnt. just a great dish. Parisian Gnocchi: Didn't interest me on the menu, ordered as a recommendation and even though by this point I was not at all hungry, it was fully devoured. The snapper was great, however we did enjoy the Whiskey rebellion, an old fashioned and a tommy's margarita, so this dish was fantastic, but the memory is a bit fuzzy. Desserts are a not to miss, and the peach cobbler (foreshadowed but the fantastic peaches in the crudo) delivered in a great way to end a great meal. Thank you again for a great time!!!
