My parents have been living at Belmont Senior Living Sherman Oaks for over five years, so I've had…read morea lot of time to get to know the staff, the community, and the level of care they provide. And I can honestly say that I feel incredibly lucky that my parents are there. Belmont has always been a nice place, but since Lance Shenk became Executive Director, I've seen a noticeable difference. There is a real feeling of energy, caring, and attention to detail that comes from the top and seems to carry throughout the entire community. One recent example really says it all. We celebrated my niece's wedding, and the staff absolutely went the extra mile to get them ready. They helped my mom try on dresses and shoes, made sure her hair was colored, coordinated her nails with her dress, and made sure the transportation went smoothly. These may sound like little things, but when you have aging parents, those little things mean EVERYTHING. They helped my parents feel special, confident, and included--and that meant so much to our family. And it's not just the big moments. It's the everyday kindness that makes Belmont feel like home. The front desk staff know us and greet us by name. Dahlia and Gladys provide such loving, patient, hands-on care. Bonnie in the salon keeps everyone looking fabulous. Cortney oversees care and genuinely CARES about the residents. Linelle puts so much thought into the programming. Barbara in the café somehow always makes sure everyone gets what they want. And Karen, Kate, Aaliyah, and so many others are constantly helping wherever they're needed. After five years, I've gotten to know a lot of the people who care for my parents, and I can tell you that these aren't just employees doing a job. There are so many people there who really know my parents, notice the little things, and treat them with genuine warmth and dignity. I liked Belmont before Lance came on board. But I really do love it now. As a daughter, knowing that my parents are surrounded by people who genuinely care about them is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for. Belmont Sherman Oaks is doing something really special right now, and I'm so grateful to the entire team for taking such good care of my parents.

It is the wife who has an attitude. I didn't like how she's saying that her things are missing. I have to admit that she is not very nice even to the employees. She makes a big deal out of everything. 4 stars Employees here are sweet and they know how to handle difficult residents. They try to accommodate them during these unprecedented times.

The home is on a large corner lot and has a large gated driveway and a very pretty entry way. I met with Arsen who is the Administrator and he was vey kind and pleasant. The caregivers were lovely and greeted me as I toured. The home was beautiful, super clean and spacious. The covered and enclosed patio was wonderful and perfect space for activities and crafts. The bedrooms were large and they offer single or shared rooms. All the residents were enjoying their meals during the time of my visit. You can see how much the care givers love and take very great care of each resident. I love how big the back yard is for residents to garden, walk and exercise. Compared to other board and cares, this home stands out and I would definitely place my loved one here. I prefer a smaller assisted living compared to a large facility because of ratio to resident care is more one on one care. Highly recommend touring.

I recently moved my mom into The Gardens at Park Balboa. It wasn't a move she welcomed, which of…read morecourse was stressful for both of us! The Community Director Jonathan gave us a tour and was treated by the residents like an adored rock star as we walked through the halls - making introductions with residents, explaining the extensive amenities, along with the robust calendar of daily activities for residents to participate in. We moved her in a week later (after visiting other facilities). Within 2 weeks she told me "I'm meeting so many interesting residents. It's like living in a resort, everything is done for you. I love it here!" Last night I got a text from her saying that she attended a mini classical concert in one of the residents rooms (that resident is known for her musical talents). The staff is attentive, responsive and kind. Prayers answered! I am beyond grateful.
