The Vancouver Clinic system is great and I feel well cared for there in any of their clinics. HOWEVER, they recently DOWNGRADED the seating in all the clinics I have visited. There are new chairs which are reasonably comfortable, but there are FEWER in all locations. They have defaulted to backless benches in most locations. Even with the benches and chairs seating is awkward for two people, and places to sit are fewer. I will, of course, continue doing business there but I am NOT HAPPY with their recent furniture purchases. I will rate this 2-stars for furniture. 5-stars for care. read more

Felt like I was completely wasting everyone's time and had to negotiate bloodwork to be done because they didn't feel it necessary, and they stated they do not typically help in this area. If I could give negative stars I would. I have been with TVC since I moved to the area 10 years ago and it has progressivly gone from bad to worse. As it stands now I cannont get in to see my primary for at least the next 4 months, specialty departments are booked out even further and most do not utilize their waitlist so dont bother, departments do not return calls in a timely manner (within 72 hours) if at all, and even with an appointment you will wait at least an hour to see your provider if not longer. All of these things have happened multiple times and the service seems to be getting worse. Do not trust your health to this clinic you will not be happy. read more

This is regarding Urgent Care: Do not offer appointments if you are going to make the appointment holder wait as long as everyone else. What is the point?? Truly. I am beyond sick, can't breathe in my lungs, here 20 minutes early as directed, propping myself up in the chair, waiting for my scheduled appointment that comes and goes, as directed. 40 minutes later, not a word. Just made an appointment with ZoomCare where they know how to tell time. You guys are the worst. (Except the front desk ladies who are lovely - you don't deserve them.) read more

I do NOT recommend Dr. Eric Kline. He has not been watching my dad's BPH and missed a bladder cancer diagnosis. He started having trace blood in his urine 2022, it increased to 3+ RBC on his UA in 2023 and 2024. He started having pain while urinating 2/2024. Not once was a PSA done in Blood work. CT scan showed soft tissue tumor going from prostate into bladder wall 10/2024 consistent with malignancy. Cystoscopy multiple tumors in bladder 10/2024. Now he waits a bladder resection surgery and staging. He Poo poo'd my dad's complaints, they UA's were done but no further work up and or referral's, procedures and or follow up's were made. I had him taken off my dad's care and another physician put on who is more vigilant, proactive & with better ratings. The above is unacceptable and not the standard of care. read more

Went to Battle Ground Urgent Care for a sore, swollen left arm on 11/24/23 seven days after a thumb joint arthroplasty. I saw Leila Ashworth, who suspected it might be a blood clot at the iv site. She immediately scheduled an ultrasound later that afternoon, which confirmed it was indeed a blood clot. She prescribed some medication, and the clot has since resolved. I am very happy with the care I received. read more

I've been going to VC since I moved to Battle Ground in 2012 but unfortunately as of recently it seems like this place has gone down hill. I've been mistreated for both Bronchitis and an allergic reaction to a bee sting within the last 6 months and had to go to a second urgent care to get the proper care that was needed for these two situations. I knew that I had bronchitis and expressed that to the doctor and hoped that I would be prescribed antibiotics but instead the doctor had me do an X-ray which was a complete waste of money and told me that I probably just had a cold and that it would go away. Had to return a second time after my symptoms got even worse and finally was prescribed the antibiotics that I needed. A few months later I was stung on the face by bees and had an allergic reaction and was prescribed a low dosage pill steroid which did nothing. Went to vital care and was given a steroid IV which helped almost instantly. It feels like the doctors in this clinic do not care about their patients and are just looking for money. Decided to get a second opinion from Vital care in Battleground who immediately did a chest x-ray and told me I had pneumonia To which they prescribed me antibiotics. I had my first appointment earlier today with Gerald Sebastian, MD at the Vancouver Clinic in Battle Ground. Dr. Sebastian and his nurse were really wonderful and listened carefully to all of the information I wanted to share. He also ordered some x-rays that I requested in order to continually improve a current health condition I have that has been worsening over time. Not only did Dr. Sebastian arrange for those x-rays to be taken during this same office visit..... but the results have already been provided to me via MyChart. Yesterday I went to Vancouver Clinic's Urgent Care in Battle Ground for a non-life threatening urgent medical issue. Everyone- the reception staff, medical assistants, and the nurse practitioner- treated me professionally, with kindness, and compassion. The nurse practitioner did a thorough evaluation, effectively treated my problem, and gave me protocols to follow should the situation recur. She was friendly, highly knowledgeable, and reassuring. I am a RN and appreciated that she spoke with me as a peer, but treated me as a patient. Well done! read more

I woke up in the middle of the night due to a cut I had that my wife thought maybe a staph infection. She wanted me to get it checked out so she got online and saw that they required a reserve spot. All times were wide open so she picked one. I woke up and we found out this cut was fine. I was required to call to cancel the appointment and nobody told me anything about charging $50 for this. I contacted them right away but got ahold of nobody so I sent an email under my login almost a month ago and still no reply. I've had other issues with horrible customer service at the front desk of these facilities as well. Horrible company who doesn't care at all about their patients. You can't even schedule an appointment that isn't weeks out. An example of a health care system that should be nuke bombed and started over. read more

There is a reason that out of most of the Vancouver Clinic's locations are two stars-this location unfortunately is no different. One site has 177 reviews, 127-1 stars and 17-2 stars out of 177 reviews. Mr Mark Mantei seems to take pride in growing large horribly run medical clinics. Communication is ABYSMAL. From a patient's viewpoint for all intents and purposes TVC is doing everything they can to reduce the number of humans that are in their clinics. Vancouver Clinic is doing everything they can to put a barrier between the patient and their doctors; in this patients view in the name of maximum profit. Their be-all, cure-all is "My Chart". That is the ONLY way to communicate with your medical provider. In one case there was a different version/edition of My Chart in place that did not communicate the new one. Second example of communication issue-I was on hold one time so long that I drove from Olympia to Vancouver (1 hour 40 minutes-not during COVID) waiting to talk to somebody-this was during normal working hours on a Tuesday afternoon. I saw my doctor this past Wednesday (over 48 hours ago) with a serious medical problem and have called in three times, twice with messages sent by nurses to my doctor. NO RESPONSE BACK. My doctor knows that I am in extreme pain right now, I have had 2 office visits in the last 2 weeks yet no communication from them. None. Heading into Christmas 3 day holiday weekend knowing that I will not hear from TVC until next week and that will probably only be after I raise holy hell with them which I am beginning now. I also have an octogenarian mother with multiple chronic diseases that also cause severe pain issues and every month it is the same circus, her prescription cannot be filled until it is out, the doctor won't fill it until the end of the day when they ostensibly have time to take care of paperwork. The prescriptions always run out on Fridays (by TVC planning) every month I have to take time out of the workday to call in multiple times with no return calls. The only time we know that we have gotten through to them is when we get a text from the pharmacy (usually after a two or three day gap) saying the meds are ready for pick up. THIS HAPPENS EVERY MONTH. Would they want this kind of care for their parents or loved ones? Emergency rooms are no option either, on two recent occasions spent 10 hours waiting to be seen for a VERY serious medical condition. The medical "system" in this area has not kept up with growth. They may open up new locations but with the same patient care model it is just perpetuating one horrible broken clinic system to the next. I will be raising this poor quality care until it is addressed. I will be stopping by my U.S. Congressperson's office immediately after the holiday to discuss this issue. I hope this can be an internal self-repair but as I said at the outset this organization continues to grow without any concern being given to the quality of patient care. My advice-drive into Portland. You may spend hours in traffic but at least the doctor's will return phone calls and ensure prescriptions will get written and filled with no to minimal harm to their patients. read more

I like, respect and appreciate my care providers. Let me be clear about that up front. They are terrific people and professionals. This review is of Vancouver Clinic as a business and business model. They are led or mislead by a practice manager with a fancy title. His name is Mark Mantai. Leadership startss at the top. His complete andd total unwillingness to have a conversatin with a paying customer is nothing shore of an embarrassment and sets the bar low for his team. A couple of months ago I received an email from Vancouver Clinic that simply said, "It's time for your appointment!" There was a link to schedule on MyChart so I clicked it and scheduled the appointment. I showed up for the appointment only to find that in fact I was not due for an appointment. The email was 6 months premature for an annually required review of a prescription I am required to take. I contacted Vancouver Clinic... multiple time... over and over again. I could not get past the billing clerk or the receptionist to discuss the misleading email. It seems clear the email was intended to drive revenue, not focused patient care. NO ONE in MANAGEMENT was willing to have a conversation. I called. I wrote. I emailed. I sent messages on LinkedIn... Nothing... I would even try smoke signals if I thought it would help, but the Management of Vancouver Clinic avoids customers and conflicts at all cost. A word to the wise, before you click on that simple link to schedule that next appointment, verify that you are due and it is necessary. Because once you show up it is a nearly $400 bill for fogging a mirror and passing through the fiefdom that is the magnificent Vancouver Clinic. This management group is unethical and exhibits a total and complete disregard for their patients as customers. Buyer/Patient beware. Very poor advice was given after the rushed visit - this is the third time this has happened. I've been trying to resolve an issue with coding for a year and half because when scheduling what I thought would be my annual exam (covered by insurance) I mentioned I needed to keep getting birth control so they coded it as a review for prescriptions instead of preventive. Oh, and my doctor was 45 minutes late to that appointment and I could hear her whole conversation with a man in the room next to me arguing about taking his medication. Every team from family practice to pediatrics to OB to urgent care have been professional, kind, and most importantly to me-thorough. My whole family has now switched to The Vancouver Clinic and I am glad for it as we have needed services often this year. Sure, there has been a time or two where it took longer to get through the main phone line to speak to someone or it took longer than I'd like to receive a return email from one of our providers but that is expected from time to time at any clinic. ATTN: KAISER OUT-OF-TOWNERS ---- Due to the closest facility being in Vancouver, your membership services will advise that you can go to ANY urgent care or ER closest to you. My husband was super sick, and as this was the only urgent care semi-close to where we were vacationing we decided to go there. Once arriving, they tell us that we can't be seen because we are Kaiser patients. I then explained that we don't mind paying out of pocket, because we will just file a claim with the insurance afterwards. They said they still won't see us because Kaiser usually denies the claim. I then state that I just want to provide my credit card, and be a cash patient, to which they informed they do take cash patients, but won't take anyone with Kaiser insurance. Therefore, if you absolutely need to come here, state you have NO insurance, and you are a cash patient. Then file the claim with Kaiser afterwards. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT mention you have Kaiser otherwise you will be turned away. read more

I've had great experiences at the Vancouver Clinic. I see a Nurse Practitioner there and feel she listens to me in a way I couldn't get doctors to at other local clinics. She is patient, kind, and empathetic. It's easy to send her messages when I need to and scheduling is simple. I also enjoy interacting with her nurses; they are all very pleasant. We've always had issues with Vancouver Clinic but our last visit takes the cake. If it's not one thing, it's another with this clinic. Our son was scheduled with Courtney White for a 2 day check up (looking for jaundice, weight gain, and doing the heel prick blood work). We left our house with adequate time for our appointment but because of an accident we had to take back roads. Long story short, the detour made us 10 minutes late to our appointment. They took 10 minutes to check us in (as they typically do) because the information we've given them every single visit wasn't saved in their system. We were now beyond the 15 minute grace period of our appointment time and the pediatrician was refusing to see us. So let's break this down. Nelya Pavlenko was the pediatrician we were scheduled with, different from the one we requested. She works in pediatrics and was turning away a newborn for a mandatory well-check. Let that sink in. She should change her profession if she's going to be careless with the vitality of an infant. We had other appointments that day and couldn't take the later appointment they were offering us. How sweet of them, right? Hey, you have an infant and a toddler....want to drag them back home to turn around and come back in a few hours?? No thank you. A nurse, or some angel from a Heaven above named Kris who doesn't even work in pediatrics and who was on her lunch break overhead the commotion and found a pediatrician to SQUEEZE us in between her back to back appointments so that our son could be seen and checked. She deserves a pay raise, a gold star, a gift card, a hug, a thank you, and a letter of recommendation if she chooses to leave to work for a business that actually values their patients. Wow, where to begin. On my first visit the front desk insisted I fill in the "Ethnicity " box (which is optional the way), then she went on to basically tell me out loud for all to hear what she thought I should put, rudely and condescendingly. I called in to complain later that day and her immediate supervisor tells me that her subordinate was within her rights to do so. I then got this dingbats manager on the phone as this office obviously does not incorporate any diversity or sensitivity training, or HIPPA for that matter, you know, patient privacy? She took my concerns seriously but boy did I know it when I went back recently for lower back pain. The front desk was "polite" but it seemed forced and they could barely look at me. Which I don't care but if you say something derogatory then we will have an issue. I get checked in by a robotic nurse, then the doctor, Dr. Ong, comes in. Short clipped niceties and as I'm sitting on the table she has me turn left then right, asks a few questions, listens to my breathing, asks me if I want a cortisone shot for the pain. Now at this point I don't know what's wrong with my back so I said no. She asks again, I say no again. That was the extent of my evaluation. She orders an X-ray and I don't hear anything for a week. She said someone would call but no one did . I get a letter and there's no damage to my back. Now I suggested stretches and some pt exercises at the time of the appointment, she concedes and gives me a copy of some I can do. This appointment took all of 6 minutes and I was charged $433.00 including the X-ray! No follow up call, nothing but for me to figure out the medical terminology on my own, that or make a call and hope for a return call. I'm still in some pain but this office and this doctor did absolutely nothing for me and they are rude to boot. I say clean out this office and bring in some true professionals in the medical field. read more

Doctors and front desk staff at urgent care are rude. The 1 time I took my 10 yr old daughter here for a strep test I had to insist on a rapid strep test because they weren't going to do one. The doctor proceeded to tell me their tests are NEVER wrong and I didn't know what I was talking about. He was condescending and very rude. I've been a parent for 23 yrs and I know when my kid gets strep, as with 4 kids we've had it some yrs 4-5 times. Front desk staff, specifically a woman named Nancy, is extremely rude. She should not be dealing with patients, especially as the first stop for them. I wouldn't go here if I was bleeding out and dying; I'd rather die on the street or go back to Kaiser. My doctor was so sweet & really knowledgeable, she knew right away what I had (Doctor Bohling). The previous clinic I went to misdiagnosed me 3 times!!! So I've left reviews for this clinic before...and they've been terrible. However I keep going back because of Dr Bunten. Obgyn. She is amazing and I highly recommend HER. Dr Mah for Dermatology is also amazing. HOWEVER billing dept is rude and horrendous to work with. I got threatened w collections when I had paid my bill the Friday before. It wasnt even late! I complained and got the same excuse...new employee who made a mistake. That is always the excuse they give for the billing dept and bad behavior from the medical assistants. When I go I've been telling the drs I dont want the medical assistant in the room for my exam...which seems to be ok? I want to give Dr. Weed five stars but I have to say my experience with Dr. St Johns made it so i had to reduce it to 3. I came into urgent care with swollen tonsils and saw Dr St John and explained how swollen my tonsils were and that was my MAIN issue also dealing with cold/flu symptoms .. they did a strep throat test and it was negative and Dr St John prescribed me something for my cough... My Cough?! When i went to the pharmacists to pick it up i asked if this would help with my tonsils and he looked super confused and said, "no.. i dont know why he would prescribe you this if its your tonsils are bothering you." Annoyed & Confused I went home thinking maybe, just maybe itd help... fast forward Three Days later my tonsils were soo inflamed i had to go back to urgent care and refused to see the same doctor. Mind you, i currently dont have health insurance so i had to pay TWICE $200 deposits because he decided to prescribe me something the first time that had NOTHING to do with what was going on. When i went back, THANKFULLY, they had an opening in the Family Medicine department and I was lucky to meet Dr. Weed. Again i was tested for strep throat, which was negative, but because he saw the severity of my tonsils he gave me the proper medication and even gave me a steroid shot to make sure that the swelling would go down immediately. He was very polite and very understanding and made me feel so much better and confident that i was gonna get better. I dont know what the deal is with Dr St John and why he would prescribe something that has nothing to do with the main issue. As someone whose had strep throat multiple times, i know the indications of it and i know what i need. You would think he would listen to the patient?! Thankful for Dr. Weed and his staff though, i am almost 100% better one day after seeing him! read more

Dr Courtney White is our pediatrician and so far I'm very happy with our care from her and the staff. The front staff remembered me even on our second visit, the doctor answered all my questions patiently and thouroughly, and the visits have all been very efficient. After venturing to two clinics in Vancouver and learning the wait would be 3+ hours, we wound up at this clinic. I saw the poor rating and ignored it thinking we may get lucky. We wound up with a doctor named Andrew Sturdivant who made a sarcastic comment once he learned why we were there and quickly sent us on our way. He didn't take any care in helping my us identify why my fiancé's chest hurt after we had waited a week to go in since the symptoms had gotten worse. I was blown away by his lack of bed side manner as he seemed burnt out and was pushing patients through like cattle. Save yourself the time and money and don't come to this clinic. read more

I tried to cancel 6 hours prior and they said not option not available. Called and they said there was nothing they can do about online appts. Wrote a letter and filed a complaint = nothing. Does a $468 bill for a referral to get your blood typed sound like a legit charge? (the actual lab test was $8), 5 minutes with the doc - $468. I even called in advance to get the cost of an office visit (they wouldn't say, said it varies a lot) specifically because I needed to know my blood type - that means Van. Clinic is making 5616.00 an hour without the need for anything except a notepad and 5 mins. Was also told that I had requested a urologist increasing the costs... why in the heck would I ask for some specialist to get me a lab referral? oh, couldn't be their mistake... they don't make any. read more

No personal touch Doctor didn't even look at me when I talked always looking down at his laptop, Way overcharged, my insurance doesn't cover there basic visit cost my insurance even said "it's the highest rates they have seen". Doctor quick to prescribe pain killers but didn't look into why the pain. Now I just go to the VA takes alot longer to see someone but none of the above issues. VA actully solves the problems. If you are in a big hurry and don't mind paying the higher cost it's a great looking facility and easy to get medications or referals. Convenience and cleanliness was there for the room however doctor was unshaved and looked very tiered I felt as if he had personal problems at home or was working to many hours. either way wasn't my best nor worst experience. I agree, they should not even register with any stars,. I also had the same issue with the complaint department. Here is my story. After being in an auto accident, I suffered debilitating symptoms for 18 months. I am a mom of 4 and this greatly interfered with the quality of my life for myself and my family. The doctor I had, put me thru tons of test, sent me to several different specialist and when she could not determine what was wrong, she started treating me like a drug seeker, Her and the neurologist both told me that all my symptoms were in my head or it were due to depression or my weight. She wrote her discriminating opinions in my medical chart which made every doctor I saw there treat me with disdain. I left every appointment in tears and with horrible anxiety. Finally after an MRI, It was found that I suffered a brain malformation that required brain surgery. The auto accident made the condition worse which initiated the debilitating, very painful symptoms that overtook my life. I felt I was owed an apology and I thought I would be treated better but that was not the case. I saw a neurologist at the Vancouver clinic. He asked me, if I was there to get get disability and told me my headaches were not due to just having brain surgery but were due to having bi polar. WHICH I DO NOT HAVE OR HAVE EVER HAD. I then complained about the horrible treatment or there lack of and they would not return my calls. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISCRIMINATORY ( I HAD STATE INSURANCE AT THE TIME) I'm planning on suing for discrimination and negligence. Don't sign up for a doctor here even if you have insurance! Their billing department is rude and they can't seem to send a bill. I didn't receive a bill for $10 after insurance costs for apparently 3 months. Instead, I got a collection letter and a ding on my credit after being a customer that has never missed a payment in 10 years. I had similar problems with getting credited for payments i made to the my account even with the account number on the check about 7 months ago. They are too big, they only care about their bottom line not the patients. I will be moving my family elsewhere asap.
