Brand spanking new facility located in Ridgefield WA. My Dr. Has found a permanent residence, so I guess I will have to go to the brand new, ultra clean, beautifully built Vancouver Clinic in Ridgefield. Loved it the minute I walked in. Built a bit different than the locations I'm used to, but for once, I like the change. I was in and out in less than 35 minutes. Awesome since I'm sick and feel like and I just want my bed.... Its with mixed emotions that I write this as I have always been very impressed with the efficiencies and quality of care with the Vancouver Clinic. My family has been patients since first moving here in 2009. My only negative comment is our recent experience with billing. It started with our primary provider retiring, forcing us to find another primary physician- no problem; however, when setting up a annual physical, we were told that we first needed to set up an initial meeting to meet our new provider, of course, a visit for which we were charged. With all of our medical records residing with Vancouver Clinic, I found this an absolutely wasted visit and viewed it another way to pad their receivables. Next, my wife did the same and set up a meeting as a Physical, documented on my chart. The clinic did not and would NOT code this as a physical, preventive care for which, my insurance company pays 100%, no out pocket and no copay. Vancouver Clinic could have and should have, resubmitted with the proper CPT code- they refused forcing us to pay for this out of pocket as our deductibles have not been met. Seemed like an easy ask and they would have received payment. I hate to cast a dark cloud over exceptional medical care, but felt compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the unwillingness of their billing department to work with us. I like, respect and appreciate my care providers. Let me be clear about that up front. They are terrific people and professionals. This review is of Vancouver Clinic as a business and business model. They are led or mislead by a practice manager with a fancy title. His name is Mark Mantai. Leadership startss at the top. His complete andd total unwillingness to have a conversatin with a paying customer is nothing shore of an embarrassment and sets the bar low for his team. A couple of months ago I received an email from Vancouver Clinic that simply said, "It's time for your appointment!" There was a link to schedule on MyChart so I clicked it and scheduled the appointment. I showed up for the appointment only to find that in fact I was not due for an appointment. The email was 6 months premature for an annually required review of a prescription I am required to take. I contacted Vancouver Clinic... multiple time... over and over again. I could not get past the billing clerk or the receptionist to discuss the misleading email. It seems clear the email was intended to drive revenue, not focused patient care. NO ONE in MANAGEMENT was willing to have a conversation. I called. I wrote. I emailed. I sent messages on LinkedIn... Nothing... I would even try smoke signals if I thought it would help, but the Management of Vancouver Clinic avoids customers and conflicts at all cost. A word to the wise, before you click on that simple link to schedule that next appointment, verify that you are due and it is necessary. Because once you show up it is a nearly $400 bill for fogging a mirror and passing through the fiefdom that is the magnificent Vancouver Clinic. This management group is unethical and exhibits a total and complete disregard for their patients as customers. Buyer/Patient beware. 10/10 recommend! Urgent care nurses are so amazing, i have a bad response with needles and they stayed with me while i was sick and feeling faint. They brought me ice packs, a drink, crackers and a cold rag, i felt that they genuinely listened and attended to my concerns. This is how healthcare should be! read more

My first (and last) experience at this joke of an urgent care. By far, one of the worst customer service experiences I ever had. After waiting for more than two hours, the individual who conducted the exam room intake was extremely discourteous, impersonal and rude. The medical provider (not a doctor) who followed was no better. When I began to describe the actions of the intake worker to the medical provider, that person immediately interrupted me with, "I don't have the bandwidth to deal with anything except your medical situation." (These are just the "highlights" of my miserable encounter with TVC.) Doesn't have the bandwidth? Wow. Is that how corporate trains TVC staff to deal with patients? read more

My Dr. moved here, but when I couldn't see her during COVID, the urgent care dr. did an amazing job. She was knowledgeable, timely, caring, and through. I appreciated the service given the strange times. Furthermore, all the lab people were friendly and knowledgeable as well. Finally, this facility is very nice. I returned from a trip a few days ago feeling pretty sick, so I scheduled a visit at the Ridgefield urgent care (the Salmon Creek urgent care had no openings, and my primary doc is booked for weeks). I was greeted at the front desk by Jenny, who was very friendly and efficient. After a short wait, I saw physician assistant Amanda Beaty. Amanda is amazing! She was very upbeat, concerned about how I was feeling, and examined me carefully. She discussed treatment and at no time made me feel that she had to rush through my appointment. Amanda gave me a positive experience instead of the negative, unfriendly encounter I had previously with Dr Moyer-Brown at the Salmon Creek urgent care (Moyer Brown was rude and seemed unconcerned). Medical care in the US is fraught with political bias and structural issues; it has both plus and minuses compared to other nations. Costs in general are certainly an issue that extend beyond Vancouver Clinic. My recent experience: * I wanted my flu shot; had not established care in area yet; called for appointment; decided to do "free" annual physical at that time. * check-in process smooth; nice people. * I provided prior exam records during visit. * physical felt like a Zoom physical might; I was only asked to remove shoes to take my weight; doctor stood up only to listen to heart (no other physical examination of body). * I feel I asked more questions of clinic / doctor than questions I was asked. Doctor and assistant were pleasant enough. * asked to have upper body wart frozen off; doctor did that in less than 1 minute * For this, Vancouver Clinic charged me $680. With my high deductible plan my cost is $648. * Doctor noted I should have some basic bloodwork done; as their lab was closed it did not occur then. Thankfully. I'm sure that would have been hundreds of dollars more out of my pocket. * Using bill with medical codes, compared costs to other providers in the Vancouver area. Vancouver Clinic was more than 25% more expensive. Compared to my last medical provider of 10 years outside Seattle, this experience left me unimpressed and frustrated. I was not expecting to be charged a "new patient" fee of $336. I was not told that for the $344 to remove the wart that I could have 13 more frozen off for the same cost (No - I don't have a dozen warts, but how would the doctor know given they never asked or looked). I asked if any other discounts could be given: answer: no. I asked why Vancouver Clinic was ~25% more expensive and they said other providers must be non-profit. I'm not sure what I'll do next. It seems any clinic will charge you hundreds for a first visit; so it is pricey to try another clinic. I think I'll try to have any necessary bloodwork done elsewhere (but who knows, Vancouver Clinic may try to charge me a "record import" fee if I try to provide them with any results). So, just had to get this off my chest. I've paid the inflated charge now and will avoid any future visits (so much for preventative care). To all, I do recognize the dollars here are a drop in the bucket compared to costs experienced by many of you; I am thankful to be healthy; and I am thankful paying this bill will not leave me without food or shelter as it could many less fortunate. read more

This is regarding the new VC in Ridgefield, WA. I was charged $510 total to ask for antibiotics for a known skin issue (no test required) and to freeze a tiny seed wart on my thumb. I assumed all the costs would be covered with the $200 deposit on my card as I do not have insurance. Had they explained to me the cost would be this ridiculous I would have declined the service and gone to a VA hospital. I called to get an explanation and was never called back, so I am posting this review to let people know they charge astronomically high prices and are terrible at getting back with you if you have questions. Great way to deceive and treat a veteran! read more

What a beautiful facility that's where the compliments end! I'm currently recovering from a fall which fractured my shoulder and injured my leg. The last few weeks I have been having problems with my ears. They are both plugged. We have Kaiser insurance and my primary has been working with me via phone appointments because her clinic is closed due to the virus. I'm still using a wheelchair to get around and it is quite a challenge getting in and out of car. My husband and I decided it would be worth the money to go just a mile up the street and be able to make an urgent care appointment, so a Doctor could physically examine my ears. We called and spoke with a representative who answered all our questions and assured us we could make the appt on line and show up with the required deposit. We did just that and after a great deal of time and effort we were turned away at check in NO we could not be seen there because we had insurance they did not accept and further more we could not self pay!!! The check in staff could of cared less, now we know why there wasn't another patient in sight, completely empty. When we called to report the error they wrote it off as a training issue. So lesson is don't believe any representative of the Vancouver clinic, they may not be trained correctly! PS: They did not do any screening questions about Covid19. read more
