Safety violation----- ya think? will see what the city snd state says 3. in" holding" lined up like cattle where there is no privacy and yet very private questions are asked and have to be answered. everyone can here everyone. thanks for all those privacy forms! curtains do not make for a low sound experience. and God forbid you are nervous, crying or need help. Someone may or may not notice when you call. getting prepped in surgery room..... we care but hurry up!! also, was NOT informed of my sedation options which is a fun decision to make when you're already in the bed and wired up. 4.Brought back to room ( which just made it being ready) - dumped off cause it was shift change snd we have to get out of here! had feeling that turning beds is a priority. 5. PT- do as told. here to help...... take your time, but hurry up. I could have walked out snd no one would have known the difference. 6. pain..... you're in pain? God forbid you ask for a shot. anything to avoid giving some instant relief. really? can I administer it myself so give the relief. no! so what's the issue? God forbid we get some relief. there were some very nice individuals, but overall the hospital was an operational Charlie Foxtrot! Felt rushed, was a number, had many nurses from other departments filling in. Some were lovely, patient and caring. however, we have to move with the system!

My wife had a great time experience dealing with the ladies in the nurses office.

I was at the Bellevue ER. The RN never rounded in 6 hours. Never took a medical history or…read moreanything. Never lifted the arm rails on the bed, or even gave me a call button. Ignored! When I fell to the ground from a seizure, & she eventually found me me on the ground, RN Reeves kicked me & demanded I get up off the floor, & acted like I was having a tantrum. Never checked my airway, if I was breathing, or even had a pulse. She told the Dr, & documented in my chart, that I "placed myself on the ground voluntarily", which is not true. When I had an MRI of the brain shortly after from another facility, it was proven that I had a small brain hemorrhage. Because of her words, I was not diagnosed or treated when this occurred. I could have died. Three of the nurses were talking loudly at the nursing station about each Patient there; private medical history, making fun of them, & how they were intentionally inflicting pain in one. I heard them making fun of me too. I have an extensive background in healthcare, & I've never seen such horribly negligent & abusive nursing in my life. They were willing to let me die on that floor, then have to actually provide any medical care or treatment. And when I requested to be released, or transferred to a facility with a higher level of care because of this, they absolutely refused me. They only agreed when I said that I would just call 911 and be transferred because of the seizure.

Truthfully, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the doctors down to the nurses, everyone was professional and genuinely invested in the care that they gave me and our son. Now, I guess, I'll admit the hospital food could have been a lot better, but it wasn't terrible. You get what you'd expect. The cafeteria had a plethora of options if you wanted to go that route. We pretty much just stuck with what they served us with the 3 meals a day. The room we stayed in offered a hospital bed and a sofa bed for my husband. It wasn't the most comfortable, but I'm giving this 5 stars because I am more invested in the quality of care we received overall. The shower was a standing shower, and we also had a small kitchen with a fridge. We paid for an upgraded room to have the fridge. This came in very handy for leftovers. NICU was the best, bar none. We received calls about our son. Check-in and check-out to go see him was seamless. I appreciated how secure the unit was, and it felt like a safe place for our son to be for recovery. Some people feel uneasy in this type of space, and we were no different. However, with the updates and the type of place it was, we felt comfortable and rest assured of his health and safety with the NICU team. For what it is worth, this hospital delivers the most babies than any hospital in the state. They have things down to a science, and I am glad we delivered here.
