If I could give this dealership ZERO stars, I would. I went in on Monday 4/20 and was there from 5:30 PM until 9 PM. I was told to come back the next day to pick up the vehicle, receive the license plates, and allow time for detailing. When we returned, we were made to wait 30 minutes before being told a part still needed to be installed and the car wouldn't be ready until the following day. Then we waited another full hour just to be issued a loaner vehicle. What makes this worse is that after I had already signed paperwork, they restructured my deal and ran my credit through multiple hard inquiries without clear communication. On the scheduled pickup day, we were again told the car needed to be detailed--despite being told the night before that it had already been taken care of. They also kept the second key. When my wife arrived for pickup, she was told the car would be ready at 1:30 PM, only to be left waiting an additional 45 minutes. At that point, we were told detailing was backed up and that a wheel still needed repair. This entire experience was disorganized, misleading, and extremely frustrating from start to finish. There was a complete lack of transparency, poor communication, and zero respect for our time. I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here to think twice. read more

Beware the bait and switch. They discuss pricing with you and then come in and change it at the last minute. Im not sure if its everyone and everything these days but these guys are no exception. We discussed a price for my vehicle to be purchased, I drove over an hour and a half in to deliver it and they dropped $5k off the price? Then they tried to show me competitive numbers from similar vehicles of mine - where were $3-4k OVER the number we had discussed - so they would still make a profit, but apparently it wasnt enough for them. Cars and dealers are rip offs these days - go with a Tesla - at least you dont have to worry about all this crap they are transparent up front and you handle all the details before you even show up to pick up your car! read more

I have been a loyal customer of Vandergriff Acura since the early 2000s--long enough to remember when Chris Snyder was the General Manager. For many years, I continued doing business here because of the exceptional customer service and the trust I had in the dealership. My recent experiences, however, had been disappointing. I felt the level of customer service had declined, and my most recent visit reinforced that impression. I was also frustrated after receiving a mailer advertising 16% off all parts and services, only to learn that the discount was capped at $200--a limitation that was not clearly disclosed on the coupon. After more than two decades as a customer, this experience was especially disappointing, which is why I initially left a negative review. However, I also believe in giving credit when a business makes the effort to correct a situation. The Service Manager's response reminded me of the level of customer service that kept me coming back to Vandergriff Acura for so many years. He listened, took my concerns seriously, and made a genuine effort to make things right. That kind of accountability and commitment to the customer deserves to be recognized. Drove over an hour to this dealership based on a listing for a 2022 Tesla Model Y showing ~36K miles. When we arrived, the actual mileage was 63K, a 27,000 mile difference. That's not a small mistake, that's a completely different car. Despite this, they kept us there for over an hour saying they could "work with us," only to come back and able to knock $200 bucks off. We came in good faith, ready to buy, but the situation felt misleading from the start. Very frustrating experience, especially having my family with me and making the long drive. I recently agreed to purchase a used 2025 Tesla Model 3 from Vandergriff Acura but after agreeing on the exact purchase price and making an appointment to complete the purchase, they called to say that they had sold the vehicle out from under me as I was en route to the scheduled appointment. I had even secured a $20,000 cashiers check in the dealership name as my down payment. Internet Sales Director, Michael Sessions, had been in contact with me to say they were in process of cleaning & charging the car so that it would be ready for delivery. I was dumbfounded when they called to say another buyer had just signed the contract - why were they even showing it to other buyers while I was on my way? it really speaks to the dealerships lack of integrity, avoid this place at all cost! read more

I have never regretted doing business with a dealership more than I regret doing business with Vandergriff Acura. After being contacted by the dealership involving a request for information, I initially explained to the sales person that Arlington was too far away for me to realistically purchase a vehicle. I was assured transportation would not be a problem because the dealership could pick me up if I wanted to test drive. After arriving, however, I repeatedly expressed hesitation about purchasing a vehicle there and stated that I wanted to continue shopping elsewhere before making such a major financial decision. When I later asked to go home, I was told the dealership "does not offer return services." Because I had been brought there by the dealership and had no transportation of my own available, I felt trapped. I arrived around 10:00 a.m. and was not able to leave until approximately 8:00 p.m. (in a loaner vehicle), causing me to miss work. What should have been an exciting vehicle purchase immediately became an ongoing nightmare. Within approximately one week of possession (the dealership retained possession for a week to "shop" it, whatever that means), the vehicle developed a check engine light, emissions warnings, and AWD warnings. I returned the vehicle for service, waited for hours, and was told the issue had been repaired. The exact same warnings and codes returned the very same evening. As a result of this dealership, I was forced to make repeated hour-and-a-half trips between Dallas and Arlington, take additional time off work, incur toll and fuel expenses, and repeatedly rearrange my schedule to accommodate repairs that did not resolve the problem the first time. Communication throughout the process was consistently poor or non-existent. Follow-up on repeated requests for status updates were also sub-par and unacceptable. When I was told my vehicle was finally ready for pick-up, I arrived after taking time off work and driving an hour-and-a-half only to discover it was not. I was forced to wait over an hour, and ultimately arrived late to another shift because the vehicle was still not ready. The vehicle was also sold with a damaged rear bumper reflector assembly and an overwhelming cigarette smoke odor. While the bumper issue was eventually addressed, it should never have been my responsibility to discover and pursue repairs on multiple issues so shortly after purchase. To make matters worse, I later discovered that while my vehicle was in the dealership's possession for repairs, it was driven on toll roads, resulting in charges to my toll account. The dealership also charged tolls to my account that I had never taken. To date, I have not been contacted with a resolution on this. I was not provided my purchase paperwork and despite my repeated requests, finally had to go through my lender, who I did not know until they contacted me directly. I later discovered thousands of dollars in add-on products that I have since canceled. Due to these undisclosed add-ons (that I specifically said I didn't want) I'm now paying new car pricing for a used 2022 Honda with 66k miles. The overall experience has been an ongoing nightmare: the pressure, the repeated failed repair attempts, the lack of communication, the lost income, the lost time, the repeated expenses, and the complete loss of trust. The dealership has since attempted to "compensate" through insulting "reimbursement" offers. However, I've lost wages, promotion opportunities, and my excellent reputation for reliability at work due to the incompetence of this dealership. The experience of buying and owning a car through Vandergriff Acura has been hellish and wish I had found the car at an honest dealership. I will now have to pay thousands more to severe ties with this unethical dealership, causing additional financial distress on top of what they've already created for me. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and Ken Paxton's office under DTPA, as well as retained an attoreny to pursue legal action. I cannot recommend this dealership. read more

I had a frustrating experience. I was there for about two hours despite having an 8:30 AM appointment, and I noticed other customers coming and going while I was still waiting. My service advisor, Taylor Jones, did not seem proactive--each time I asked for an update, I was told they hadn't brought my keys yet rather than him checking on the status of my vehicle. Given that he was my advisor, I expected more follow-through. Additionally, it was Taylor who walked me to my car, and I was told to only complete the survey if I could give 100%, otherwise not to fill it out. I later received an email referencing the survey and offering a detailing service if I gave a 100% response, which didn't sit right with me. I have not completed the survey. Overall, it didn't feel like my time or feedback was respected, and I'm not sure I'll be returning. read more

The INCOMPETENCE is absolutely Astounding!! They will try to screw you over at every chance they get and then hide or ghost when you ask for GMs info. What started out as a good transaction quickly went sour at every turn. I had come to terms on a truck with the salesman Jin After that, it went back to finance with Ali . I came to terms with an agreement with Ali, including a 36,000 mile three year bumper-to-bumper warranty. Then the next morning he calls me back and basically tells me that the price that we had agreed to win up $46 overnight because "taxes were off" What Ali doesn't know is I worked in dealerships for 6 years in sales and I knew that's not how that worked. When he sent over the breakdown I could see how everything got priced up including the sales price of the truck price of the warranty was higher so I sent back an offer that put it back where the price was supposed to be got a call a couple hours later that he wasn't going to change any coverage or anything they took care of it and got the price within $5 of the original agreed price I had so I said ok. Then the notary came and I noticed the paperwork changed that he had flipped it from a gold package to a silver package and I didn't even get to review that but had to have the vehicle ASAP. I was stranded in Indiana without a vehicle and made this clear to both Jin and Ali multiple times that transportation really needed to go out Tuesday and I really needed it Friday. Thursday night rolls around I haven't received any update on dispatch on my shipment so I reach out to Jin, no answer, call the used car manager get Patrick who tells me he's looking at the truck currently. I asked why? When it was supposed to be on a truck Tuesday maybe Wednesday at the latest he said he was unaware of that and I told him about Ali changing the paperwork and lying about it on the phone which I know they can pull the call of. I get a call back an hour later saying the truck will be picked up Saturday and delivered Sunday. I don't get any update as far as pick up Saturday. Sunday I get a call saying the delivery is 20 minutes out... except they were delivering it to my house in Nashville 3 hours from where I was. After telling them 5-6 times it needed to be in Indiana not Nashville. They call transport and basically get it to come up to Indiana the next day by 1pm. 12 pm rolls around and I reach out to the driver and he tells me he's hasn't left Nashville yet which is 3 hours away. So now I am missing an entire day of work again because of the incompetence and absolute disaster this dealership is. If you want a good experience and fair sales process avoid Vandergriff Acura at just about any cost! read more

I asked them a simple question and it took three employees to ultimately direct me to ask someone at another dealership. I found that to be surprisingly unhelpful and unprofessional. If they're not getting a sale from you, they don't seem interested in doing much for you. However, I think that this may unfortunately be the culture of sales at Acura as I've seen this at different locations. This is my first and last Acura. Back to the service department- I've always been greeted warmly and serviced quickly. I saw a used car online and was emailing with the internet sales department, who never answered my questions accurately and kept insisting that I needed to come in to get the best pricing. My husband and I went into the dealership, said that we'd seen this specific car online, and after a test drive, we were prepared to purchase the car. I asked a number of detailed questions about the original price to understand options this car had in comparison to another that we were considering. At that point, the sales manager brought over a price sheet that reflected a price $2685 higher than it was posted for online and with dealer add-ons that were more than $2000 more than posted online. When I pointed this out, he said that if I'd told him I had looked at the car online, he would have given me different pricing. I'm unclear how me saying that I'd looked at it online and telling him that I'd seen the price fluctuating for a few days was not a clear indication that I'd looked at the car online. I'm also unclear on the insistence for me to come in to get the best price, then quoting me a price nearly $5000 higher than it was online. We just bought a new 2026 Acura, that experience was fine, same as any other dealership. A week after we purchased the vehicle we decided to come back for a hand wash and had high expectations. We were very disappointed, not only did they take a long time, but they did not do a good job and we're pretty sure that they didn't actually hand wash it like we requested. We came back today to give them another chance and waited. 45 minutes before they even took the car back, they must have not labeled it correctly or something because it sat while other cars went through. we finally asked somebody. Hey why is the car not going anywhere and she went out to talk to one of the guys and they took it back right after that but then another 45 minutes later we're still waiting for this to be a luxury vehicle the service was not at all up to par. And the people we talked to were fine, but the people in the back that we're working on the car and in charge of taking the car back where the problem. read more

BEWARE!! We were lied to the entire time we were there. My husband and I are both looking for cars due to our cars being damages by hail. 1) We stopped by Vandergriff Acura and the first thing I asked was what interest rates they were offering. The sales guy says 7-8% depending on credit. I was shocked. We had been to another Acura dealership and they told us 3.99%. 2) I liked one of their SUVs on the showroom floor. I looked at the price and stated outloud, "$56,000." (this was upgraded from the orignal price of $52 for tint, luxury package and a few other things) He said confidently, "don't look at the price" making it seem that it shouldnt be a deterant and giving us the impression they could work something out. When it came to talk numbers, he stated the price for the vehicle was $59k+. When asked about the $3k difference, he said that they added the sideboards, window tint, and roof racks had not been added to the price and/or sticker on the car. Then tries to tell us that the luxury package that the $56k included was for the floor mats and the cargo tray equalling $3k (not only outrageous but also standard according to the prior dealership we visited). 3) my husband test drove a used TLX S type marked "As Is, No Warranty." As I'm sitting in the passenger seat, something under the glove compartment is leaking on my sandle. The sales guy says its probably cleaning solution because they clean it to show. The car was filty and had not been cleaned. On our drive home my husband finds the same exact car on their website marked as certified. They say car salesmans are crooks and liars and this dealership truely stands up to that. I will never buy a car from any Vandergriff! read more

I am not much to write reviews but after hearing close family and friends asking about my experience with Vandergriff, I do not recommended this dealership at all. When we bought our RDX sales consultant dismissed me when I asked about the second key. Vehicle was never fully cleaned or serviced. There was dog hair everywhere. Three months with the vehicle on our way back from a trip transmission started overheating. Took it the next day to have it serviced at and it turned out there was NO transmission fluid. They gave me 5 sheets of services the vehicle needed. I told them it was them who serviced the vehicle and again was ignored and just asked for payment. To make matters worse I was told by another Acura dealership that the vehicle did not have remote start like they had stated and the vehicle had been in an accident. Later that day my husband jumped the battery & took it to Auto where they confirmed the battery was dead. My husband purchased a new battery. I bought that battery from Acura October 2022 still within the 3 year warranty. I called & asked if I could bring their battery back & they can put a credit on my account. Vandergriff called to set appointment for recall work on my MDX, which i did. I was told that it's a 1 hour job so I waited. One hour and 15 minutes in I asked my service advisor when they would be done. At that point over an hours wait and my asking about my suv I was told another customer got the last part, and they could have another part there tomorrow. OK wow, A. Blaming another customer for taking the part is ridiculous. B. They asked me to bring my suv in for the recall. C. I could still be sitting there if I had not asked about timing. D. After waisting 2 hours of my time, the service manager (who was out that day) was going to call me the next day, not my request, they offered. He did not call, nor has he called me in the days to follow. This is a lesson in the A, B, C, & D's of failure on Vandergriff Acuras part. read more
