Let me start off by saying the sales manager for pre-owner vehicles here and his employees are unethical and dishonest. When I purchased my car I was promised 6 oil changes with tire rotations so they could close the deal. I went in and asked about my remaining services and they told me I had no remaining services left after the car surpasses 24k miles by the service department but was told I could discuss it with the sales team since they were the department that had agreed to give me the services in conditions to buying the car. We walk over to the sales department and meet with the manager who had agreed to throw the maintenance. They even had it on paper, in file but not the official contract and they wouldn't honor it and the fact that they had made an error on their end. I purchased the vehicle at the end of the month and I'm sure they were just hungry for the commission since it was September 29th and the month was going to end. The only reason they get one star is because 0 star is not an option. We were told for days that the car we wanted is available. Texted the morning we were heading there with a 45 minute drive and told that the car was available. Arrived at the dealership and asked for Jin Chung who had repeatedly told us the car was available and had set the appointment for us to view the car. He started asking us what we were looking for in a car and we told him we want to see the car we told him we were there to see and he proceeded to tell us he had to go talk to his manager. He then came back and told us the car was sold. He knew the car had been sold before we even came to the dealership but allowed us to make a 45 minute drive knowing the car was sold. The service denied any wrong doing. The service guy wanted me to pay for $120 towing for 3 miles from my house to Vandergriff Acura service to do a recheck. I bought my 2018 Acura from here sales guy was very nice but they tried to make me pay for tinted windows , nitro in tires , detailing it , and some coating crap which I refused as the previous owner had already paid for all that . I did not pay for any of it ,(people put your foot down and don't fall for all this crap ). The next thing is my left tire started going flat come to find out my tires are dry rotted which yes I'm a women and didn't notice especially since they had them all polished up , so that being said I'm having to buy new tires today . Outstanding car buying experience! I went to another dealership for my previous purchase and that was a mistake. I should have came here first. It's a little far from me, but absolutely worth it. Everyone I met with treated me like I was a king. On a rainy Monday afternoon there were a lot of people buying cars and I found out why. No hassle and no games, in fact I called them and they told me a price for the vehicle sight unseen and they had it waiting for me. I gave them some information of what I needed and 1.5 hours later I drove off the the lot completely amazed and satisfied. I now no longer need to look at any other dealerships for my vehicle needs. I post this reluctantly, but after being ignored by the General Manager, Jimmy Le and Client Relations Manager Chantelle Cantrell , I will share the following; after several emails from Jimmy Le and Chantelle Cantrell this was my last email to them, that of course , went unanswered.... Chantelle, I have received several calls from Vandergriff Acura. Considering that you and Mr. Le ignored my concerns (see attached email) I did not answer, until today. the waiting area was a mess. the initial work order was an old copy with handwritten "CC fee" notice on it. the service tech was very hurried and appeared to be over worked. unlike Mercedes and Lexus your database is not integrated with other dealerships and therefore the tech recommended thousands of dollars of work that had already been done. Acura is supposedly a luxury brand but the waiting area had vending machines...that did not work. The 3% CC fee was not disclosed when I scheduled, that is bait and switch. The 3% CC fee is egregious! If Vandefgriff is paying more than 2% on MC/Visa merchant services you need a new accountant. You may consider me one very dissatisfied customer; not because of the many problems, but because you chose to ignore them. read more

I have bought close to 10 vehicles in my life and have never been this disappointed in a dealership experience. Incredibly unprofessional and clearly all they care about is getting commissions. I went to look at a truck that was listed for $45k which ended up being a $57k truck after a $2500 down payment. Dealership includes a hidden $4800 "dealership fee" which I took to understand is just regular service and some special air in the tires. They don't disclose this fee until AFTER they run your credit so you're locked in. If you make it to the finance stage after that, they've already included several warranties in the pricing of your monthly payment. They charged me $3700 for a silver plus warranty and another $1800 for a 24 month service warranty, all included in the monthly payments they offered from the get go. I told them I ONLY wanted GAP insurance and yet, they left both of the other warranties in the final pricing of the vehicle. All in all, over $10k more than the vehicle is advertised for. I've noticed a comment from Josh at Vandergriff has appeared asking me to contact the general manager of the dealership. If you look at the majority of the reviews someone from the dealership responds. Many of the reviews from other customers mentioned experiencing the exact crap Vandergriff attempted to do to us. Why would I waste my valuable time talking to a manager or other representative of a company that knowingly conducts this type of behavior every day? If they didn't treat folks that way there would not be review after review mentioning being scammed into coming in to see an advertised vehicle only for the dealership to refuse to honor the advertised price. I live 4.5 hours away and made an agreement on a price at 1 pm and began my drive to the dealership. I had asked to get the deal in writing, not just a verbal commitment from Tracy, the pre-owned manager. At 2:30 I called to ask about the contract and was told by the salesperson Jeremy that the car had been test driven and may no longer be available. Disappointing Experience- are their CarFax reports real? I feel like I should save my energy and walk away but it seems ethically wrong to leave this to an unsuspecting public. I recently had a disappointing experience at Vandergriff Acura when attempting to purchase a 2016 Jeep Wrangler with low miles. Despite the initial attraction of a great deal, my excitement quickly turned into frustration and suspicion as I discovered several issues with the vehicle. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was under the impression that the process would be quick and efficient. They knew it was an hour drive there for me and I was having a tough time and let them know it was an attempt to get some happiness. However, bypassing the test drive was not in my plans - so yes I want to drive a used Jeep. I was not informed that the engine light was on until I saw it on my test drive. To my dismay, I discovered leaking oil upon crawling under the vehicle. Yes, I had to crawl under the Jeep but at least it's lifted. I was told they didn't get a chance to clean it up or reset codes when the new engine went in. It was disheartening to realize that the dealership had neglected to mention these crucial details. I drove two hours for this and wasted my evening after a long day working. This was besides the four minor wrecks. When I talked with the sales manager, I was promised that the engine had been replaced by Jeep but the necessary codes and cleanup had been forgotten. This explanation seemed questionable but I was in a weak mindset. He said I could do all the paperwork and it would hold the jeep but if I changed my mind before taking possession they would shred the deal refund any money and I could go on my way. I got home and pulled up the Carfax and was then very worried. It was especially concerning considering the fact that the dealership had dealt with the Jeep nearly monthly for seven months, as indicated by the Carfax history. It further raised concerns when I noticed that the history mentioned routine maintenance, such as brake pad changes, but made no mention of the engine replacement. Feeling deceived and uncertain about the reliability of the vehicle, I asked about the warranty for the new engine and the temporary nature of the reset code situation. More promises were made, but no documentation or guarantees. They said the Jeep was at Jeep dealership and they had assured them it was good to go. My trust had already been shattered and still no details about the engine warranty. Consequently, I decided to withdraw from the deal. Fortunately, the dealership did eventually refund my deposit. To my astonishment, I later discovered that the Jeep was back on the market without any mention of the new engine or code reset at Jeep dealership. This lack of transparency is deeply concerning and I feel compelled to warn potential buyers about my experience. I've learned the vin numbers on a new engine won't match the vin of the Jeep. So check that. In conclusion, my experience at Vandergriff Acura was highly questionable. The dealership's failure to disclose crucial information about the vehicle, their questionable explanation for the engine issues, and their lack of transparency regarding the Jeep's history are all red flags. I hope that potential buyers take this review into consideration before making a decision and wish them good luck in finding a more trustworthy dealership. I thought CarFax reported all servicing so how does it miss an Engine and a code reset but the later inspection is on it? The CarFax is weird. Seven months of visits or maybe ownership? with very little mileage and the oil changes. Mostly if you put a new Jeep engine in it would you tell people and offer the warranty? They get should get no stars as there is nothing but darkness and disappointment. Force to put 1 star Twice I have set an appointment to so concierge for my wife's car to be picked up. Zaktek and other services. No loaner needed (which is a favor for them as it will be available to someone else). Pick up can be 7am and needs to be back at 7pm when she gets off. She works 4 miles from the dealership. Last time Ricky the service manager had to run the car himself. It was not done before the valets all left. Ricky Sandoval was a stand up do it all guy. Huge loss to their organization. This time it happens again. My options they gave me are 1. Get her car tomorrow? How does she get to work and home tonight? 2. Offered to uber her home and get the car to her tomorrow. How does she get to work? Offered to Uber her in the morning just have her call. At 6am? nobody to take the call to get her Uber. 3. I had to tell them to leave the keys with receptionist and Uber my wife to the dealership. Which is a huge inconvenience for someone who just worked 12 hours in an ER. Was told this was my fault btw. I did not answer their call at 3:16pm. I called back at 4:45 and needed the car back to my wife at 7pm. No way that could happen from their efforts? I could not get a straight answer. I drove over 40 miles from Plano and test drove the car. I liked it and when they brought me the offer they added over $5000 in reconditioning and other hidden fees .The fees made the car over $50.000. I contemplated on leaving this review since I had already spoken to the GM but I'm wanted to share my experience to forewarn any potential buyers. We saw a car we were interested in and drove over 45 miles to purchase it. After the transaction was complete, my salesman just disappeared, gone! Keys were brought to us by someone in the service department. We negotiated the sale with some bodywork to be done so we dropped off our vehicle a few days later for 3 day repair. More like a 3 week repair. Every time we called we were told our vehicle would be ready tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. Mind that we had to keep calling! The salesman will call and email you several times a day before the sale, but once the transaction is complete, they're done with you. They obviously don't care about future business or referrals. I would never recommend this dealership to any stranger, family or friend. Although I had a bad experience I did not want to leave out the positive. The financial guy was prompt and thorough and I was out of his office within 20 min. And I appreciated the GM taking his time to listen to my bad experience. The salesman then spent 10 minutes trying to convince me that their website was wrong and didn't include destination charges. After reading all of the fine print on their website, the salseman finally admitted that their website is right and then the manager came out and told me that this is the way they do business. If I hadn't insisted on reading the fine print, on their website then they would have upsold me. Bottom line is that they only honor the sales price on their website if you call them out on their lies and are prepared to argue strongly, including reading the website fine print to them. Do whatever you can to avoid this location. I came in as my car makes loud noise when I accelerate. First they made me do a diagnostic when they could just find the problem by visual inspection. I tried to have it a visual inspection as I recently had a diagnostics at different location but they pushed the $230 diagnostics. They tried to change every pieces of my car that has rust on and they quoted me more than $3000. It turns out that it's a simple fix at muffler shop costed less than $100. A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! * kinda long but worth the read I promise you!* This place Literally tried to bully my family into buying a car that had issues no one discussed with us until after financing ( check engine light , power steering fault ) These problems occurred not even within a week of having the vehicle . In the meantime they gave us a loaner vehicle , that they later tried to charge to our insurance as a " rental vehicle & also repairs on our vehicle* These were NOT repairs these were already existing problems with the vehicle . Anyway fast forward we go to pick up our vehicle my keychain was stolen off my new keys I just got when I mentioned it to my salesman no one knew a thing ... they claimed everything was fixed & they did a 50 mile drive cycle no lights came on . As soon as we get about 5-6 miles away from the dealership the check engine light comes on AGAIN and we also notice THERE ARE NO TAGS ON OUR VEHICLE . They removed front and back tags so not only did the check engine light come back on we also had no tags on our vehicle we call our salesman he tells us to come back to the dealership and to just take the loaner vehicle so they can run more "test " on our vehicle .. at this point we are very frustrated and fed up with the whole situation & we decided that we no longer want to do business with these people , they lied multiple times and were unprofessional on many levels especially once we decided we no longer wanted to do business the finance manager tried to embarrass us in front of all the salesman's saying no other dealership will give you this deal look at your credit ( which is not terrible but OK ) & in a way trying to put himself on bigger pedestal which was very lame of him " we will still make money off this deal" " it's your loss" VERY RUDE . no empathy no care in the world simply looking for a check this place will never get the time of day from me again and I'll make sure my family doesn't go through this either! This review has nothing to do with our sales rep grace, she is wonderful. The issues I have are strictly with the dealership. They have required items upon purchasing new cars which is standard. The main issue I have is the fact that they require LoJack on the car (dealer requirement, not that I have a risky credit or a bank required it) it is a standard item on all new cars purchased through them. Upon purchasing the car and download Acura link ( mobile app the recommend) it has built in gps. Therefor the LoJack system is a useless item valued at 900$+. I asked the sales manager at the time of purchase if we can remove it, and he didn't entertain it. They require a credit check on any purchase, even if you have your own financing taken care of. The sales process went very well, Gracie is a all star sales rep. She is extremely thorough, and knowledgeable about the product. Overall I am generally pleased, but find the practice of adding useless items to a car and charging for it immoral. read more

unfortunately, we have a bad experience to buying a car at this dealership. we bought a car a few months ago that had a clean carfax , but I recently noticed that the car had a front end accident, I emailed to Vandergriff Acura several times and they said to take the car in for inspection, but they just wasted my time. we had trust them business but the seller was not reliable, because the car had an accident and they did not tell this fact. unfortunately , they are not even willing to compensate for their mistakes. BEWARE OF THE CONSTANT LIES This company does not communicate internally and with waste your time. Two weeks ago they called me and asked if I would like to drive a specific Vehicle. After driving an hour to get there they couldn't find the vehicle that I was interested in and if they asked if I would like to drive. After 1.5 hours of patiently waiting the lies and said someone just ran into the vehicle I was interested in and they just took it to the paint and body shop for a little touch up on the bumper. I asked if I could see the damage to know if I was still interested, they said no, because the truck was already sanded painted and drying. WHAT?!?! So they couldn't even show me the truck but it was small damage. I left. A week later they informed me the vehicle was coming out completely repaired and repainted. I question why it was completely repainted. They said they wanted it to look completely new. I was told it was a small paint touch up on the bumper. Well, I was curious and they encouraged me to be at their location on time at 9AM to be able to test drive and see the vehicle. I drove an hour to meet with "Dijon"? I still cannot get anyone there to clarify the name of the sales guy I was stuck with. Anyway the said Dijon is out showing someone a test drive. After waiting another hour for Dijon to return I just decided I'd had enough and left. About 15 minutes after I left the Jean called my cell phone and told me he wasn't there because he couldn't get out of his driveway. I asked weren't you on a test drive with a customer? He said no someone was parked in front of his driveway and he couldn't get out. OK, I asked about the vehicle as I was only 15 minutes away. He stated that the vehicle is not available because they were replacing the axle. I question why the axle was being replaced if it was simply a fender bender. He stated that there might have been some damage to the tire. I asked why would the transaxle be replaced if there was some damage to the tire. He said he doesn't know but it's still in the shop and can't show the car to me. I told him I was frustrated and I hung up. 15 minutes later, as I'm driving home. The sales manager calls me and asks to talk to me about the situation with the car. He starts in on some very slick BS about knowing this is the car I'm interested in and they can't wait to show it to me. I explained that I've been out there twice I've waited 2.5 hours total in their location took an hour to get there in an hour to get back each time and now they've wasted 6.5 hours of my time and he said he could understand that I would be frustrated but just wants to make sure he can show me the vehicle. I explain that I've gone out of my way to come see that vehicle and I have yet to see that vehicle. It doesn't make any sense that they would invite me out twice to show me a vehicle that is not available for driving and that I've waited and waited to drive that vehicle. He explained that the vehicle was damaged weeks ago and has been in the body shop for a long time. So he just confirmed that the vehicle was not hit in the parking lot that night that I went. They just prefer to lie about everything in order to get you there even though they don't have a vehicle to show you. Beware they will lie to you just to get you in the door. At this point I don't even believe they have THE VEHICLE OR ANY VEHICLE that I'm interested in purchasing.LIE LIE LIE LIE besides what I have written constant lies were being told to me from one minute to the other and before the person could even finish their conversation with me they contradicted what they said at the beginning of the conversation. My daughter bought her first car there. We had so many problems with the car from the start. First the license plate bracket was broken. That took my daughter several trips out there to get fixed, then the sunroof broke that was another trip out there. There was also a chip in the windshield that had to fix that was another trip out there. The salesman Rodney was very rude did not even offer my daughter gas for having to make so many trips out there. I spoke with the manager he was very rude. In over all this was a very bad experience. I took my 2020 Acura ILX for servicing and detailing today. After spending almost $600 when I went to pay for the service using my credit card, I was told there would be a 3% charge to use my credit card. I have purchased 4 Acuras from Vandergriff and have used their service department for servicing my vehicles over the years. I have never been charged a 3% credit card fee. I was told this was something the started doing "about 3 years ago." This is the last time I purchase from or take my vehicle for servicing. I called Hiley Acura and was told they do not charge a 3% fee if you pay for your service with a credit card. In today's economic climate and the already extreme fees they charge for service and labor, 3% is an outrageous fee. I don't know that many people that have an extra $600 laying around to pay cash for this kind of service. Thank goodness I declined all the other services they wanted to do on my car today. Took my car in to have radar aimed. Topped off my brake fluid before I went in and it was completely clean. They recommend I flush my brake fluid for $169 because it was dirty. And when I checked it, now it was black. I don't know how it completely changed while they had the car, but doesn't take a detective to figure out the scam. read more

I would not recommend this Acura dealership for service and I am looking forward to trying Fort Worth in hopes of better service. I've had my Acura for 7 years and have had my fair amount of Acura service. This place is disappointing. The service staff are pushy and don't feel trustworthy at all. I had to tell my agent several times that I was not interested in the additional services he was suggesting. Several times. He continued trying to convince me and even suggested I use their financing. It made me second-guess ANY service this place is recommending. This is the second time I've had this type of experience at this location. They take a long time, even if you have an appointment. Also, I didn't see even one female agent working in the service department. Makes you wonder. Anyway, I won't be coming back. read more
