First of all the food is excellent! The breakfast burritos are delicious. The Classic with the spam......omg who would have thought to put spam in a breakfast burrito?! It was so good. We loved it way better than the bacon. Definitely try the spam. I gave 3 stars because I searched for the place in Yelp and looked at the menu prior to arriving. The menu doesn't come close to what's shown in other reviews. I really wanted the turkey panini, but as stated in other reviews, they were out of the ingredients to make it. They open at 8 am and we arrived around 9:30 am. So I ordered the BLAT. We paid. While we were waiting he came over to tell me they can't make the BLAT because they don't have the ingredients. Like what a bummer. So I got the bacon burrito. I did order a classic and guess it got mixed up because it was the basic. It was really nice of him to throw in a free burrito, for all the inconveniences. The coffee....... Ehhhh I'd give the coffee 1 star. Looking for lunch on a road trip. Found this place on Yelp as good for sandwiches. Website makes a big deal about how breakfast is available until 11am. Website says they are open until 2pm weekdays; door at cafe says 3pm. Walk in at 1:15 and are immediately told the kitchen closes at 1pm. Who stops selling lunch at 1? Walked right out. Drove out of our way to get here so this was disappointing. read more

Every time I'm in town, I stop here for a breakfast burrito and the blue corn bowl. It is so delicious. Thankful for Bertina and Hamilton for creating a much needed cuisine. He made wonderful suggestions and was really creative with figuring out what to make for my sister, who is not an espresso fan. The matcha is super high quality, the beans are locally sourced and extremely tasty. My salad did not have a single limp piece of spring mix, perfect amount of dressing, great ratio of toppings to greens, AND the bowl it comes in, seals completely so you can shake it up and I really appreciate that as a salad lover! Me and my brother took a longer mputain bike ride and my brother was suffering extreme dehydration. Him being unable t9 get back home safely we stopped at Juniper for water. Giving Juniper 4 stars because the food was really good. When it finally came. I walked in about 11am and it wasn't busy. Sweet! I'd read that service can be slow. I placed my order and waited. And waited. 45 min later my plate arrived, but it was wrong. Dang it! So now I had to wait longer (couldn't eat what they brought or I absolutely would have). They were then out of one of the ingredients, so I had to change it up. That was fine; when it finally came out it was delicious. The best customer service comes from extra little touches, especially when mistakes are made. I'm not looking for a freebie from a small business, but when you mess up? Offer a drink while the customer works (and don't charge). Offer a coupon for a return visit (like a free drink or 50% off or something). Or think about the review and word of mouth recommendations and just comp the item. In the long run it's so much better for business. They no longer have crepes, like Yelp menu photos show. The chai tea was delish but I am not a fan of the savory blue corn mush. It was very bland and the only flavor came from the egg or bacon otherwise you were just eating bland mush. I would go back for coffee/tea or maybe try a pastry. The service was acceptable. read more

Nice little ambient coffee shop with some food options. Their outside seating area is very nice and we were than a cooler morning so we took advantage of it. We waited quite a while on our food and finally got it. I had the sausage and cheese panini and it was toasted perfectly but in my opinion was pretty average. Someone in my party got the blue corn waffle and raved over it. As for the coffee, I only had the basic drip coffee and it was good. Ohhh I want to put all the good vibes out for this place to succeed and not succumb to whatever Farmington's curse is about letting delicious places die. Juniper! So so so tasty. Coffee drinks first. They have all your basics and for a reasonable price. They will make you a beautiful latte (if you can drink milk) that is oh so social media worthy. If you can't drink milk (like my sad self) they have milk alternatives and will make you a delicious drink anyway. I'm a big fan of the London Fog with Almond Milk. The food!! I think Juniper's food is what really sets them apart from other coffee shops. They have breakfast and lunch items. For breakfast you can get blue corn crepes or bowls, also breakfast sandwiches. For lunch food they have sandwiches and salads. Okay I know that sounds basic but hear me out. Their food is way beyond basic! I had one of the healthiest and tastiest salads in all of Farmington here (Autumn Salad with mixed greens, quinoa, chicken, pumpkin, pomegranates and feta mmmmm)! And their sandwich bread is perfectly toasted and buttery on both sides!! I can't wait to go back for their roast beef, green chile harvati sandwich omg. We had a blue corn blueberry muffin while our food was being prepared. It was light, moist, and fluffy. Stopped in this morning for some coffee. I also picked up a London fog with vanilla and a matcha tea. Loved my medium roast coffee! The drinks were a hit fir all. The pastries I picked up for later included savory scones, blue corn muffins and banana bread. The burrito with spam was delicious . The potatoes are sliced and fried to a great texture.
