Steven was an absolute rockstar; he was very patient, attentive, and didn't make us feel pressured whatsoever. One of the concerns we had was related to transporting of the couch itself as we had originally intended to pick it up by SUV. In expressing our concerns to Steven, he went out of his way to request that his supervisor locate the exact dimensions of the sofa as it would be delivered in the two separate boxes (H x W x D) as well as the weight of each box for the delivery. Moreover, despite the couch being sold out online, Steven went out of his way to coordinate with his manager an timely delivery date that fell within our work availabilities much earlier than we had anticipated given the online estimate. Highly recommending that partnering up with Steven here at Ashely's furniture for any future furniture needs!

I purchased a sofa from Ashley Furniture in March 2025 for over $4,000, expecting basic quality and honesty. Instead, I got a defective product and a company that refuses to stand behind what it sells. In less than a year, with a total usage of maybe 30 hours, the cushions have severely sunk. My wife and I are almost never at home, so this couch has seen virtually no use. There is absolutely no justification for this kind of failure. To make matters worse, I was sold an "extended warranty" with clear assurances that it would cover everything, including cushion issues. That turned out to be completely false. After two so-called "expert" inspections and more than six phone calls totaling hours of my time, they are now denying coverage and backtracking on what was promised. This is not just poor quality, it is blatant misrepresentation. I have two witnesses who were present when I was told the warranty would cover cushion failure, especially this early on. Now they are pretending otherwise. I will be taking this matter to small claims court. Avoid this company at all costs. I will never buy from them again and will continue sharing this experience so others do not fall into the same trap. You are physically funneled into a controlled area, and in order to leave, you have to wait until a loss prevention employee notices you and opens the barrier. As shown in the photo, the employee wasn't even paying attention, and I had to actively get her attention just to be allowed to exit the store. That is not normal, and it is not okay. Walking in already felt wrong. I genuinely thought the store was closed because someone had to open the barrier for me to enter. That alone set off alarms. Walking out was worse. Standing there, blocked by a rope, waiting to be acknowledged so I could leave a public retail store felt degrading and uncomfortable. No customer should feel trapped, monitored, or controlled just to exit a store. Whether or not receipts are checked is irrelevant. The issue is the loss of basic autonomy. I should be able to come in and out freely, period. I am not blaming the employees personally. This is clearly a policy and leadership issue. But policies reflect the values of a business, and this setup says a lot. It communicates distrust, hostility, and a complete lack of respect for customers. I've shopped at Burlington for years and never experienced anything like this at older locations. This feels like a sharp decline in standards and customer dignity. This is not how a respectable business operates. The environment feels tense, unwelcoming, and frankly embarrassing for a retail brand. Being forced to wait for permission to leave made me feel lumped into a category I don't belong in, and I will not accept that treatment as a customer. This setup alone tells me everything I need to know about the direction of this store. People deserve to be warned. If you are okay with being herded into a barrier, waiting to be noticed, and feeling confined just to leave a store, then maybe this place won't bother you. For me, this experience was enough to make sure I don't come back. It's unacceptable, and it should seriously concern anyone who values being treated with basic respect. It's very unfortunate because like I said this Burlington in the old store was a staple growing up because of the selection and value. You can always find good deals.

But I can at least guarantee that the mall is always lively and there's plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants around and across the street too. What I like best about this mall is their effort to foster community here, such as the Dia de los Muertos display or when I happened to walk pass a Bluey Xmas dance party and you can take pictures with Santa AND Bluey. Super cute. One time years and years ago, they had a scavenger hunt for Christmas where you search around the mall to take photos with your phone for an ornament. I really liked that I did that and got to spend time with my family. I've seen so many shops come and go here and pieces of my childhood through adolescence such as the Disney Store (I remember spending time here looking through that giant plushie pile), the merry go round, Surf City Squeeze (always thought their mascot looked cool, now replaced with a Pop Mart vending machine), Nothing But Silver (went here lots with my mom and aunts), Sanrio Surprise, Amapola Deli and Market (crazy they tried to open a market in here), the hermit crab vendor, McDonald's that my mom would always get my brother and I and the vendors that would try to sell stickers at our table, the dollar store on the upper floor above Baskin Robbins, the used bookstore and so much more. Huge chunk of nostalgic memories for me, but today it's decent mall with most things that you would need. Some shops I go to often to get gifts or pick up something for myself, See's (thanks for closing PH location), Hot Topic, Bath and Body Works, Miniso, etc. At least the Tilt arcade here is still open. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if you're already here, might as well enjoy malls before more of them perish.
