Place was messy, things missplaced. More than the usual. Not so many good selections left. Maybe due to back to school shopping. Line was long almost to back where the fitting rooms are. At first they had 3 cashiers but the line grew so they called for help. By the time I got to the front there were 5 cashiers which made it faster. Lucky for my son he did find good bargains for shorts. I would recommend to take somebody with you to stand in line while you shop if you are in a hurry. read more

My recent visit to the Ross in the Eastland Center reminded me why I avoid this location. The entire experience feels chaotic from the moment you walk in. Being greeted immediately by a security guard sets the tone and not in a reassuring way. The layout is so poorly designed that getting to the men's section means squeezing past the cashier area like you're cutting through a barricade. I went on a Saturday night and the store looked completely overwhelmed. Clothes on the floor, aisles blocked, random items everywhere, and this sense of clutter that makes you want to walk right back out. With Walmart now closed, this place has taken a turn for the worse and the parking lot has its own issues. Local Facebook groups have had people reporting stolen tires and other shady activity, so even stepping outside doesn't feel great. Inside, loss prevention was circling around asking if we were finding everything OK, which felt more intrusive than helpful. When I finally got in line, the cashier called me over before she even finished checking out the person ahead of me, making the whole process feel rushed and disorganized. While she was ringing us up, she was already calling the next person, invading personal space and creating unnecessary pressure. Then not even ten feet away another loss prevention employee insisted on checking my receipt despite watching the entire transaction happen and knowing exactly what I purchased. It didn't feel like safety or professionalism, just disorganized low level chaos that leaves a bad taste. The only redeeming part of this visit was finding a pair of shoes at a good price, which is the only reason I bother stopping by. But overall this location feels unsafe, unkempt, and mismanaged. There is so much potential for improvement but it continues to decline each time I go. One star because the experience is honestly horrible. read more

Every time I come here the same Asian guy follows me around the store, I assume he's a secret shopper but crazy thing is I've been in there multiple times and have never stolen... so why am I being followed? If it's not a secret shopper it's a weird fat guy w long hair following me. They have made my shopping experience so uncomfortable I just put my items back and leave because why would I pay for items at a place where the workers are intentionally making a hostile environment for me. I'm going to go into tomorrow and make a formal complaint then follow up with the corporate office because this unacceptable. I even have videos of the same people following me on different days so Ik I'm not crazy. The female workers are pleasant though so that's why it's one star. read more

Very Very Very messy inside. First time at Ross West Covina at the Eastland Shopping Center. The moment my daughter and I walked through door, our mouths dropped. I wanted to walk out but we were on a mission to get the Sherpa pullovers with Pugs on them. That place was disheveled. We found them and checked out. Never again, I will not go back there. This is probably one of the largest Ross stores I've ever visited. They had a lot of merchandise out on the floor, and I felt it was pretty well organized. There was a wide selection of items, ranging from higher-end to more affordable options. The customer service was also very good. read more

The customer service was very poor. I brought in a dress with tags brand new never been used and they wouldn't return it. I only have two credit cards and they told me it wasn't showing up on my card which is not correct because I only have those two cards. I don't recommend this location (San Dimas is better) I found an item I wished to purchase but had no price. A worker passed by me so I asked him to check price for me. He found comparable item (veggie cutter) for $11.99 so he asked me to show cashier that item for the price. Some other worker was there and said no the one you picked is more expensive?? I responded with well the other worker gave me this item for ring up? She spoke Spanish with another cashier asking price and now both telling me nope, so I ended up not purchasing. Racist employees, starring at customers the whole time, making uncomfortable shopping. Unusual looking for items since all of them were placed back-to-front or up-side-down with their price tags. Disarrangement store with multiple tables between the aisles. Bad customer service and hiring a bunch of employees just for walking around, chatting and overreacting with customers. This Ross Dress for Less is located in the Eastland Center, right next to the 10 West freeway and near IKEA. It's surprising to note that this was my first ever visit here, even though I've visited other Ross stores in the area. Once I stepped in... I felt like it was a bit "darker" than more Ross locations, not sure if it was due to the lower ceiling? I agree with other Yelpers in that this location is a mess. There are so many racks, so close together, that one can't even push their shopping carts through the aisles. Customers need to leave their carts at the end of the aisles and squeeze through the aisles. It's both a good and bad thing as: "Yes" there are many items, but "No" it's not feeling comfortable when shopping. Even with the numerous selection of items, I did not find anything of interest. More does not always equal better. Maybe I need to return again in the future and take time to comb through the racks but overall, it's too messy and crowded for my taste and comfort. read more

Heeeey... soooooo I really had a great time wondering through Ross looking at all the knick knacks. Mostly looking for stuff for my home, but I did find some socks and underwear at a good price. And Cynthia with outstanding excellent service was admirable to actually personally walk me to the cologne that I was looking for. WOW!!! Now that's really customer service. Watch out for this blonde lady (refer to photo). She has this permanent "I want to see your manager NOW" look on her face. She was literally having a conversation with other employees I'm the MIDDLE OF THE AISLE, IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE. Her and an employee were on one side and another employee on the other side of the main aisle. I walked past them with a look on my face that said "Sorry I'm cutting through you" and this lady waits for me to walk a few more steps away and says "EXCUH-YUSE ME" in a really snooty way and continues her conversation. Not loud enough for me to hear (or so she thought) but loud enough for her fellow employees to hear. I turned around and one of the other employees that I made eye contact with, looked away so fast, knowing I had heard her. What I really should've done was turn around and say "Yes, is there a problem?" and embarrassed her in front of her poor coworkers. Don't have a conversation in the middle of the aisle in front of the entrance and expect people to go out of their way to get to the main aisle. The world doesn't revolve around you, lady. read more

No. No. No. No. This place a mess, super disorganized, chaotic and understaffed. The aisles are small, cramped, and not enough room for two people to get through. The lines to check out are always at least 15 people long. On my last visit, the cashier turned her back to me as my receipt was printing and proceeded to have a few minute long conversation with another employee about umbrellas. She turned back to look at me and said there's your receipt, but still didn't tear it off the machine and hand it to me. She turned her back again, as I waited for a few more minutes. She then looked back to me and said "you can tear off your receipt and take it." Lady, I am NOT reaching over your counter to tear my receipt off the machine. read more

As with many of these types of stores, it's such a big hit or miss to find something you actually wanted to purchase. The last few times I came here I was looking for briefs, and I was looking for your basic men's briefs. Not much of a big selection, as the men's briefs mainly contained boxer briefs. Not what I was looking for. So I moved along. After walking around this huge mess like they call a store, I found myself browsing through the health equipment, such as the yoga supplies, as I just recently started taking yoga. Still didn't find a thing to buy. Then off I went to the kitchen supplies. Awesome, found one of those OXO air tight containers in the clearance section for $8. Great deal? Bit it wasn't a necessity. As I continued to browse through the store, I put down the OXO, and found a Bluetooth speaker. It was.one of those items I've been looking for online for a good price and I found hit here! SCORE! So I kept questioning if I really needed this container, which after a few minutes, I placed it back on the shelf. Yeah, I was one of those customers that didn't take it back to its rightful location. I slapped the back of my hand for that and went on my merry way to the cashier. The cashier was nice and inviting. Placed my item.ina plastic bag, swiped my card, and off I went. Happy as a clam.with my new Bluetooth speaker. Ross is one of my favorite stores to shop because of the prices and "usual" customer service. However things were not so typical at this location. The manager is an embarrassment to this franchise and needs a few tips on customer service. I understand during these tough times things can be hard but the manager on duty 1/13/21 around 5:56 pm at the Ross in West Covina location claims his name is Gibran and he was the manager was so rude and did not take the returns we had, he said the description did not match the receipt. He didn't even look at the item, just saw a glimpse of a bag, yes the description was off but this is not a very rare thing for Ross to do unfortunately. He didn't want to get me a business card, he said "I can go walk over there myself and get it" to me and my mother. If he is so proud of being a manager he needs to learn a few things about customer experience and taking ownership when the customer needs help, regardless of if my mother and I were wrong he did not need to speak to us with such a snippy and pessimistic tone and attitude. I don't know exactly if he was having a bad day or if he just didn't like us, but it is not acceptable. I have been in customer service for over a decade and it makes me uncomfortable knowing people like him work in customer service as a manager at that. read more

I always seem to find something to buy here, even when I'm not trying sometimes. They have a great variety of stuff, and sometimes even available in different colors! But if you're here on a mission, it may be a small battle due to the messy organization. Dressing rooms, I must warn you, need some air fresheners; I try to pick the stalls closest to the walls, my theory being the further away you are from the people, the less smell you'll take in. And the cashiers are quite slow, they tend to take their time even when they see a long line, and this place usually has a long line. read more

I do not like Ross. If I want a deal in this type of store, I am much better off at Norsdtrom Rack... even Marshalls down the street from here. This store is DIRTY, DARK and DUMPY. The aisles are messy and there is no order to their store and displays. Everything seems to be thrown all over. I don't have the time or patience to sift through all the racks trying to find a half way decent item. The staff are not helpful and they are super slow. This is a pass for me. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I'm a guy who's on a budget especially with clothes. I usually spend most my money on food. My shirt size is large and my pants are 34 or 36 after dinner. What's GREAT about this place is that it's navigate-able. On the left you have womens, on the right you have mens. So I go to the right hand side. While I'm walking there are I look at the signs for shirts and pants. Whilst at the shirt section the I pay special attend to the racks because the hangers have colored rings around them that notes their size. Light blue is large so I look at all the light blue shirts and pick whatever I think that looks nice. Pants are the same way! I go to the dressing room and try on these clothes that I picked out and usually come out with 1 outfit. With this outfit, I go to the register and pay. I'm in and out in literally 5 minutes. Afterwards I feel so accomplished that I can pay for a good looking outfit. I feel like a man! Like a hunter that just killed his prey! ROARR!! Then when the adrenaline buffers out in my blood and I start thinking like a reasonable person. I check the receipt for their return policy- full refund in within 30 days. Downside it could get messy during holidays. Shoe selection for a size 13 male is abysmal. read more

I usually having a hard time shopping at Ross, just because I don't have the time and the patience to look every single item in the rack and think what to wear with this? if it is a pant, I will be thinking what top or sweater that will match this? what shoes? and will it be Ok to wear for work? I accompanied my friends lotsa time, but all I do just sit around and be busy playing games on my cellphone. Well, I went to this Ross last night with my co-workers. And I have been eyeing on this MK handbag since about 3 months ago where they were still in the mall and full price-expensive. As soon as we walked in, my friend pointed out at the MK bag that I like. So I checked it out if there is no damage or defective on the bag.. before I called the attendant to get the bag out of its chain. The handbag/purse seems like in a pretty good condition, so I asked the cashier Stephanie for help. She is busy helping other customers but she is nice enough to page her co-worker to help me. Then came Rossa to help me and she told me she will put it behind the counter until I am ready to check out. So I was so happy that night, look around and I found 3 dresses to try on. Again I don't like dresses, but I was so happy my eyes just pinned to rack full of dresses my size. As I glance through.. my imagination start working, what dress that will go with my new silvery/shiny MK bag? I tried those 3 dresses and all fit perfectly.. so I bought them. I was just one lucky gal that night. The services is great.. both ladies are so helpful and nice. The store itself, as far as the fixtures and the settings are not so organized. and clutter more than other Ross that I've ever been to. They don't have any visual display at all where other Ross still set up like Department Stores where they have displays. read more

Don't go fitting room. The lady was so rude. She didn't help you to hang clothes, was watching on me when I dropped off the shirts(because too many pieces on my hand). And I return the shirts to her when I finished trying them, I am required to arrange the clothes all next time and hang them on the hanger, otherwise she will not take them. So, if I do everything for her, what is her job for? read more

Pretty big but REALLY unorganized. We came for some house assessory stuff. The furniture they did have was tearing apart. I really liked the ottoman but it had a rip. With Ross, it's a hit or miss. Parking: lots Overall, prices are good, you just need to dig through the clutter. read more

I came in earlier in the week, and purchased multiple items. Later went home to notice a security tag had not been removed. I came in to have it removed only to have the manager accuse me of having stolen the socks and then refusing to remove the tags from the item I had purchased. While this was happening I pointed out how the cashier had just bagged an item with its tag. He told me "mistakes happen," but apparently it is impossible that the same mistake happened to me. Offered to show a receipt but was denied and informed to leave. Horrible location will never return. read more

This Ross is one of my least favorites in the area. Located at the Eastland mall, parking is a hassle and the store itself is always in disarray with limited stock and messy shelves. Lines are almost always long. I come here when I have to, but would prefer other locations in the area. read more
