Super cool antique shop in Covina. It looks small from the outside, but once you step foot through its doors, it houses multiple rooms and aisles that are jam packed with things to discover. From household items, old posters, knick-knacks, and vintage clothes, you never know what exactly you'll find, so take your time. There's literally stuff everywhere. Some items are inaccessible because it's blocked by other merchandise, and some of the things are a little too fragile to move for closer inspection. Price wise, items are fair, and if you have any questions, the lady that runs the shop is happy to help. Wow!!! This store is one of my greatest finds to date in beautiful downtown Covina. It's on Badillo, just past Citrus. It's actually a store of many vendors. The vendors rent space within this store, so the assortment of items is vast. From the collector spoons and jewelry to pianos and real furs!! The most difficult thing about this store is self control! There are so very many fabulous finds here. It was very hard to stop shopping. I made my purchase, tried to leave the store, then made another purchase and forced myself to leave ! The people who run this store are friendly and helpful. Even with the thousands of items for sale, they know what they have and where it is! Amazing. I purchased an antique rabbit skin coat as well as an antique leopard skin jacket and a silver cake knife. The prices are surprisingly inexpensive! This store is a must! Wonderful little neat store. Looked for some items I could give for Christmas, & found a few. Woman who ran the store was kind. Some criticisms: - I wish the store was a tad neater, I didn't want to trip over some large items and end up toppling over something. - I found the receipt book in my bag full of items I purchased. With all the changes to downtown Covina I thought Helen's had closed, but I was so happy to find that it still exists! Call before you go to make sure they're open. Small business antique life is hard! They have a large space to wander and browse. I think most of it is they're own inventory, but they have several consignment booths, too. Lots of dishware, glass, ceramics and porcelain. I always find some lovely pieces of furniture that I can't figure out how to get into my house so I have to pass up. They have vintage clothes, too. All kinds of stuff. I left with a vintage teapot, pitcher and butter dish and I was contemplating an unsigned watercolor. The store is relatively clean and easy to walk through for an antique store. My daughter and I really enjoyed looking through this antique shop. I had no idea this place even existed. Some of the areas could use some tidying up but I didn't mind since there was so much to see. They have a good selection to choose from no matter what type of antiques you are looking for. came here to shop again today. being one of the super loyal customers that love to shop here. i recently read ashley's review and sad to say about that particular day when the owner, haydee was not around to assist ashley. julia worked that day only as a stand in for that particular day of last sunday because haydee had a family emergency. customer service is always extremely important to haydee and to myself because i am a customer myself at many stores especially this one. julia mentioned that ashley was being very difficult and trying to low ball each expensive pins for $2.00 which was not nice at all. anyone would be furious. and when julia told unpriced items to ashley or anyone for that matter, she knows the prices to the unpriced items because she knows the seller's stuff. same goes with owner, haydee who knows the prices on the unpriced items in her store. they tell it on behalf of the sellers. because the sellers already gave them the green light to do so. the sellers have told them the prices beforehand but forgot to price them themselves. that is why haydee and julia tell prices on unpriced items on their behalf. everyone including ashley needs to know that kind of incident that ashley reviewed about never happens at helen's antiques especially when sweet owner, haydee runs her store. this store has been peacefully and happily running for 20 years already. THAT is how good this store is. :) as for the "everything must go 10% to 70% off" sign out front and out back of store, that is not because this place "needs" business. not at all. the sign is up to let every shopper know and be reminded that there are sales daily. that's all. for the record, this store does extremely well with sales here on a regular basis. getting daily 7 days a week local customers to out of cities and to out of the states as well as out of the country tourists from all over shopping here. this store is the most happening shopping destination place when it comes to sales/SOLD items in covina. if you don't know, now you know. i know because i see a lot going on when i shop here. extremely often. read more

Yeah it's a bit cluttered, but OMG I come in here once or twice a month and find the cutest things ever!!! I collect cameras and records, they always have a great options to choose from. If the owner seems a bit rude at first, don't worry, she's just that way because she is worried that something will be broken, but trust me get on her good side ASAP. I found this treasure the other day. Helen's Antiques in downtown Covina. So many rare and unique items. Everything from rock memorabilia, to vintage, days gone by pieces. So many interesting things, I spent about 90 minutes browsing the store. I found some one of a kind conversation pieces that were reasonably priced. The propietor is knowledgable and helpful. First and foremost, I don't like posting low yelp ratings, and I only yelp with its really necessary My husband and I are vintage and high end antique collectors. We dress vintage everyday, but since this heat wave hit, we've been leaning towards the practical and cool clothing. I'm assuming this why I got the ( are you stealing vibe) and things that don't have price tags, I'm going to think of the first price that comes to my mind because this Nere-do-well won't know the difference. The first experience I had was, I was interested in a vintage 1950's pin! The mate was there, and they were individually priced even though it was a matching set. I asked the clerk( I assume clerk) if she would do a combo price! she told me no at first, and than I asked why? this is a matching set, why are you selling it separate? She thought of it for a second time, and rattled off a price, which in my opinion it was $2.00 of the combined price of $10.00! I said, okay plus the 25% off? ( there was a huge sign on the display case with 25% off) She barked back, is it 25% off? Okay, it will be $7.95. Since at this point, I was totally over the brooch and totally over this woman being less than polite and less than professional. So, I told her I would think about it, as I looked for my husband. In the meantime, I found another booth that had some brooches I wanted to look at. I tried to get the attention of the clerk once again! I understand she was helping some one else, but the least she could do was acknowledge my request instead of yelling across the room! I wanted a few minutes for the clerk to attend to me. I wanted to look in a locked cabinet. because everything is so jammed and crammed in that shop, and the size of the clerk, she was growing annoyed with the situation and the cabinet wasn't opening all the way. She told me "which one" I asked her, if we could trade places since there was a few other things I wanted to look at. She told me No! I was appalled! I told her, well maybe since I'm smaller and I know what I'm looking for, maybe you should let me in there to take a look. she relented and we switched places. In my mind, I thought wow! she's making it really hard for me to spend money! and its not like its busy, LADY! you are in Covina, and the last time I checked, you need some business since the sign on the front door says "everything must go, 10%-70% off Anyways, I picked up a art deco dress clip, and the price says $2.00. I found two others that didn't have a price tag, so I asked the clerk " how much are these" she thought about it for a minute and responded $10.00! I said, $10.00 why? this one is very much alike and its $2.00 ! she told me, its $10.00! and I said, well can you call the dealer? I thought you had a sale going on? she told me No and that was the price! First of all, I didn't know that clerks at antique stores gave prices to unmarked items in other peoples booths? and secondly, $10.00 for a orphan brooch the size of a quarter? and to further irritate the situation, in the same booth, another unmarked item ( a pre ww2 Hawaiian photo album ( pearl harbor status) I asked the clerk, I would like to know the price of this, too. She responded, oh that's $7.50 hahahah are you kidding? Anyways, we won't go back. read more

Agree with the the previous poster. This place is a huge treasure trove. Everything from furniture, housewares, paintings, jewelery, and clothing. Im not an appraiser or antiques expert, but there are some beautiful items that are truly special and unique and Im sure there are some valuable collectibles. You have come when you have an hour or so to sift through the items. organization is not that great - but maybe that's part of the charm of antiqing. The owner of this store, Helen or maybe it's Heidi, which ever name she uses on a particular day is a crook. My sister has had her items at her store for over a year and the woman has sold some of the items, but refuses to pay her. She has owed my sister money from January 2018 to present, with one excuse after another for not paying her. As far as I am concerned this woman should not be in business, if she cannot afford to pay her vendors as agreed. She is never at the store and always have a million and 1 excuses why she can't pay you. I wouldn't recommend this shop to my worst enemy.
