My stylist, Alicia Coleman, barely spoke to me before immediately taking me to wash my hair. I actually had to stop her so I could show her the reference photo. She gave it a quick glance, said, "I got you," and that was the extent of the consultation. As she styled my hair, she kept turning my chair away from the mirror so I couldn't see what she was doing. Every time I tried to look, she turned the chair even farther away. I found it very odd because I wasn't able to see the styling process or offer any feedback. Had I been able to watch, I could have pointed out that it wasn't going in the direction I wanted before she finished. When she finally turned me around for the "big reveal," I was shocked. It looked nothing like my inspiration photo. She had curled all of my hair toward my face instead of away from it, and the style was completely different from what I had requested. I wanted a side part with hair softly covering part of my forehead. When I asked if she could fix it, she told me I had too much breakage to achieve that look. I was already running late and didn't have time to stay, so I left extremely disappointed. When I got home, I had to completely wet my hair, blow-dry it all over again, and curl it myself from scratch. I was able to recreate the look I originally asked for with no problem. Paying $50 for a blowout that I had to completely redo myself was a total waste of money. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

I was shocked - does this mean they would rather have someone come in with covid than have them cancel? I understand losing the time for them is bad, but would you rather have me come in coughing? After hanging up I felt really odd about the convo but didn't have the energy to think too much about it. Cut to...today (a little over a week later) I check my credit card account and they have charged it $185. For literally NO SERVICES. I called to inquire and he just says "Yep the owner makes the decisions and I'll see if she's willing to take the charge off but no guarantees". Ummm what? Due to their late cancel policy.
