Unfortunately, the experience at the scheduling desk is consistently the opposite. The two staff members there are often dismissive and lack basic courtesy. At my most recent visit, my doctor walked me to the desk to schedule a follow-up. One staff member was on the phone, and the other appeared available, so I waited at the counter as directed. She struggled with the computer without acknowledging me or communicating what was happening, leaving me standing there without any guidance. When the second staff member got off the phone and took over, the first thing she said--abruptly--was: "Ma'am, respectfully, don't be at the counter when we are on the phone." The tone made the "respectfully" feel anything but respectful. To be clear, I am familiar with HIPPA. I was there because I had been directed to the counter by my physician, I thought the first staff member was going to take care of me and I was also trying to steady myself due to significant pain. When I suggested that patients may need something to support themselves if they're expected to wait away from the counter, I was told to stand against the wall, with a dismissive mention that wheelchairs were available--offered more as a remark than as actual assistance. This is not an isolated incident. The pattern of behavior at the front desk stands in stark contrast to the quality of care provided by the physicians. Patients in pain deserve clear communication and basic respect.

For the past 2 years they have not been able to correct my vision. Needed glasses starting 1/2024. They didn't get the prescription right. Came back month later new prescription which still want 100%. Within a few months eyesight started worsening. Waited until my annual eye exam 1/2025. Still didn't correct completely. Couldn't be bothered with going back again to have them fix it and my eyesight still not clear like last year. January 2026. Same thing. Eyesight not fully corrected. Fell in February so had to take care of that before corrected the January prescription that was never right. Finally in April 2026 Dr. Miller tells me to get a topography exam and the machine was broken in their office so they sent me to Eye Associates Of Vineland in Cherry Hill. Which by the way I later find out the topography exam isn't covered by my insurance. I'm told I have a stretched cornea which can only be fully corrected by contact lenses. Meanwhile I have 2 pairs of glasses with fresh lenses that are never going to correct my eyes completely. Now my insurance won't cover anything because I've gone ON A WILD GOOSE CHASE WITH UMPTEENTH EXAMS FOR ME TO NOW PAY FOR A SEPARATE CONTACTS EXAM and the COST OF CONTACTS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WHAT WAS PRESCRIBED ALL ALONG IN THE FIRST PLACE. Honestly I don't even trust that they will get that correct.

I am once again starting to experience issues with my Hashimotos and autoimmune diseases and I need…read moreto return to an Endocrinologist after years of stability on synthroid. Attempting to find a good Endo who doesn't simply look at basic blood tests or use the full array of diagnostics and literature and field research available is next to impossible. I immediately thought back to Dr. Jennings and decided to check if he was still practicing. In 2011, I had found Dr. Jennings by searching on a website that lists doctors who would be willing to prescribe Armour Thyroid, which had long been all but abandoned by mainstream practices due to the creation of Synthroid. Synthroid and generic Levothyroxine were causing me to have constant cardiac episodes, intense allergic reactions, hair loss, chronic weight loss, etc. Dr. Jennings is the only one who actually listened to what I was experiencing and gladly helped me try Armour and measured labs at every visit to track and adjust. He also ordered a ton of additional labs to track everything consistently to help expose any differential diagnoses or causality that would normally be missed. Due to some continued symptoms after switching to Armour, he also urged me to follow-up with several other specialists, including a Rheumatologist, Neurologist and Geneticist. This led me to discover the underlying liver disease, a liver tumor, and finally the autoimmune connective tissue diseases that I was experiencing most of my persistent symptoms from. This man answered a call from me on his personal cell phone from the beach on his vacation when I was having an adverse reaction to a low dose of prednisone. Forget the need for a beautiful practice and shiny things. No doctor (especially underpaid Endocrinologists) could afford to provide the level of care that he does if he were to focus on those things. He would need to see a half dozen patients an hour as a sole practitioner. You will be heard by this doctor, which is invaluable in today's medical world. You will find no better Endocinologist or doctor than him, I promise you.
