I made an appointment at the iselin office because the one close to me closed. I get there at 3:45pm for my appointment and the doors locked. No note, nothing, mind you it took me 45 minutes to get there. I call their number and after all the computer crap, I finally get a live person who tells me the doctor had an emergency, ok but where's front desk staff, gone too. I asked why didn't I get a call or text to reschedule. Her response, o we don't have time to call everyone. What a dysfunctional company. To allow a patient who is in pain to drive 45 minutes in traffic and be so nonchalant about it. They claim to care, but that is not care. This place you are just a number to them, I had 3 epidural with them and allthough they were OK, but treating you like your a human in pain is not this place. Its like an assembly line. Find a place that actually cares about you and not the money they get. BTW, took me an hour to get home in bumper to bumper traffic in pain.​​ read more

I've been a patient at Relievus for some time now, and I want to start by saying my physician is excellent--attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Unfortunately, the experience at the scheduling desk is consistently the opposite. The two staff members there are often dismissive and lack basic courtesy. At my most recent visit, my doctor walked me to the desk to schedule a follow-up. One staff member was on the phone, and the other appeared available, so I waited at the counter as directed. She struggled with the computer without acknowledging me or communicating what was happening, leaving me standing there without any guidance. When the second staff member got off the phone and took over, the first thing she said--abruptly--was: "Ma'am, respectfully, don't be at the counter when we are on the phone." The tone made the "respectfully" feel anything but respectful. To be clear, I am familiar with HIPPA. I was there because I had been directed to the counter by my physician, I thought the first staff member was going to take care of me and I was also trying to steady myself due to significant pain. When I suggested that patients may need something to support themselves if they're expected to wait away from the counter, I was told to stand against the wall, with a dismissive mention that wheelchairs were available--offered more as a remark than as actual assistance. This is not an isolated incident. The pattern of behavior at the front desk stands in stark contrast to the quality of care provided by the physicians. Relievus merged with Clearway Pain Solutions about 3 years ago. Relievus continued to do business under their name, continuing to use their own software until Clearway could merge the data, and maintained their processes and procedures until Clearway implemented their own. The billing I received for $30 co-pays, that was for DocuVitals, occurred when Clearway took over Relievus's billing. That's why Dr Purewal was puzzled about the billing when I asked him. For the last 6 months I did my best to get the 4 months of charges, or $120, credited. Whether the billing is a co-pay for seeing a healthcare professional (did not), use of durable medical equipment (did not), or a fee for the software (never charged before), it is erroneous. After billing switched to Clearway I have been unable to speak to anyone who understands the billing. Dr Purewal did give me Clearway's Head of Billing, but I was told "he doesn't deal directly with patients". Really?!! Apparently billing is now outsourced so when I did get someone on the phone I found myself talking to someone at a call center. I explained my situation, adding when I was recording info through the Relievis softtware (Neuroflow) I didn't have a co-pay. I also pointed out that I never signed an agreement relating to DocuVitals. His response was: "I don't care what was done before (with Relievus), we do things our way and you owe us". I've been a patient @ Relievus for several years now (since 2017). Prior to Relievus, my quality of life was suffering and I didn't want to live anymore. I was tired of being in chronic pain with zero relief, while that effected my activity levels, causing me to feel like a burden to my household. Although I'm not 100% pain free (I have several incurable issues that cause chronic pain), my doctors @ Relievus have undeniably & successfully managed my pain in ways that gave me back a quality of life that I find worth living again. I found their doctors & support staff to be some of the most ethical & compassionate around. Relievus offers a wide variety of services (too many to mention), but I highly recommend their injections (be it PRP, trigger point, ablations, Ketamine infusions, etc.). Note: having been with Relievus for several years, I want to note that EVERY business experiences "growing pains" from time to time, but any issues I've noticed ALWAYS pass, relatively quickly at that. If non-vital errors (that only happen here & there) are going to be a deal breaker for you, it's unlikely that you will be happy at any chronically evolving medical practice that you wish to frequent. Don't let the negative reviews about temporary issues stop you from seeking the quality & ethical care that this practice provides. read more

This place is horrendous. If you're in pain they'll do nothing for it. They don't listen and Dr Rhinier is a LIAR!!!! I asked for my wife's medical records because she was discharged for failing her drug tests. No appeal no argument no look at her GI issues which as it turns out may have been causing absorption issues with medication. When I asked for their records they told me they couldn't give them to me and my wife did not wish to go into their office. So I asked if I needed to get a lawyer just to get her medical records and Rhinier overheard me. About a week later I got a notice in the mail that I was discharged as a patient and when I called to get the reason why I was told it was because I cursed out the staff. The care over the almost 3 years I was with them was a joke and their billing department kept popping up phantom charges on my statement. Every other month when I go in there I would be told I owed them money from a copay I didn't make. To the point that I had to bring in bank statements every month to show them that my copays were all paid. I urge anyone in pain, DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Additionally the office manager Nina is about as unprofessional as it comes. When I called to get my explanation for discharge she was cheying into the phone. If you go to this place you will regret it they do not have patient care in mind. It is a business and they're only in the business to collect money. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have had the most disorganized unresponsive experience! My initial appointment I waited an hour past my appointment time. It has now been 3 weeks since my initial appointment where the doctor requested an MRI of my spine. They have yet to submit information to my health insurance to get the MRI authorized. Forget getting someone live on the phone. No one answers their phone not to mention they outsource their pre authorizations to India so you can't contact anyone in the business office that handles the paperwork/preauthorizations. And if you ask the people that work in the Cherry hill office they will say there isn't anything they can do about contacting the Bus office in India. I was suppose to have my follow up next week to review the MRI that I still haven't gotten done because they haven't done the proper paperwork so now I have to push off my follow up appointment while I am still waiting for the authorization! The latest issue was the medication dept not calling my Dr for my refill and making me wait 4 days for my pain medication and I SUFFERED! The worst is there is NO ONE TO COMPLAIN TO! I placed 6 calls to speak to medication dept manager who refuses to speak to me or answer the 4 messages that I have left. I was sent to pain mgmt because I suffer from debilitating autoimmune diseases including CRPS and suffer immense amounts of pain all day, every day due to a car accident almost a decade ago of which I was not at fault! Instead of helping me, they treated me like I was an addict off the street looking for a hand out for medication. I went to the Northeast Philadelphia office twice and both times left with no help....at all! It was a complete waste of time! I was have to contact the billing department and then email another department for complaints. Even then it takes months for the to type the correct code.. This office needs to become more respectful of the time of their patients. Three out of four visits, we have waited in the lobby more than an hour past our appointment time. Today we visited and were still sitting in the lobby at the 90 minute mark. When I asked if everything was OK, I was told the doctor was with a new patient and that my husband was next. A few minutes later, someone came out and told everyone that the doctor was running behind schedule and started asking if we wanted to see a nurse practitioner instead - and she specifically asked us first in addition to the rest of the people in the waiting room. We wondered if something had happened with the patient ahead of us and agreed. But only a minute later, the doctor himself came out and called his next patient --- someone who had come in after us --- while we waited another 15 minutes to see the nurse practitioner. In addition, the nurse practitioner we saw today was different from the nurse practitioner we saw last time (because we weren't told the doctor was still not in the office himself). So in 4 appointments, he's also seen 3 different practitioners. There's no opportunity for continuity of care in that type of setting, and it's incredibly frustrating for a patient to be treated as a "new" patient by every practitioner because they've never met him before. This type of scheduling and behavior is incredibly unprofessional. We were very upset after sitting for so long and being shuffled around --- and yes, we were vocal about it. The correct thing to do would have been to take the next patient in line back, or check before shuffling people around, or not moving the person who was actually next in line. Perhaps this office needs to take a closer look at their scheduling procedures. This doctor is obviously in demand and is overworked. Another patient in the lobby expressed disgust at having not seen the doctor in person in SEVEN MONTHS, despite being scheduled with him at every appointment. You need to correct your scheduling practices, give the doctor more time with his patients, and absolutely, without a doubt, stop overbooking. I'd love to know what you bill the insurance for 15 minutes of time so that I could bill you accordingly for our lost time. Oh, and by the way? You're a PAIN MANAGEMENT clinic. Maybe you should consider that when leaving people with limited mobility and nerve pain sitting in wheelchairs in your lobby for almost 2 hours. I'm disgusted, and the empty apologies made with a lack of eye contact are just not enough. read more

Doctors today are under a lot of pressure to comply with state and federal laws when it comes to prescribing controlled substances but the folks at Relievus have taken this to a whole new level. Unfortunately, I'm poor and I'm paying for my visits out-of-pocket. I told the staff at Relievus this when the first saw me and every time since. Nevertheless, the fine folks decided told me they were going to take a urine sample at every visit but just send them in randomly. Lies. All lies. They have sent every single urine sample for testing at a price of $185 per month and they have never found anything suspicious. I'm poor and I can't afford the cost of the visit, the lab test and my medication totaling close to $400/month. I have a chronic birth defect to my spine and am 60 years old. I have no history of drug abuse and have been taking the same medication for over 30 years. The doctors at Relievus are heartless. They don't care about the patient and lie about their procedures. I'm without medication while I look for a new practice. I DO NOT recommend Relievus and their unethical patient treatment. read more

Doctor seemed nice enough, but no follow up. Then, wants me to believe that hip dislocating is from fluid, rather than the fluid being a sign of a problem. Took months to get referral for films. Left messages that went to black holes. They mistakenly started billing me for a copay I already paid. I called and cleared it up. Now, months later, they are billing me for it again! I took my 83 year old grandfather here because his nursing home wouldn't provide pain management. It was horrific. First, calling to schedule was over a 30 min hold. After the appointment I had a question and it was an even longer wait. We waited nearly an hour and a half to be seen. It felt like I drug my pop pop to a methadone clinic. The APN rushed us. My grandfather has dementia and the APN was rapidly asking questions and seemed annoyed with his delayed responses. We were then taken to the back for a physical evaluation, and told they didn't have time to do it and would need to return. I ended up placing him on a palliative service who can manage his back pain and dementia combo with compassion. read more
