I initially gave a bad review, but after talking with the firm administrator, a lot of things were clarified and communicated much better. My case was first given to someone just starting on the job and some things weren't thoroughly examined or checked which lead to the huge confusion of payments and topics that weren't fully explained or reviewed. Someone else in the firm has since taken the case to get it cleaned up, and the firm was willing to void the fees for processing and covering some of the back payments due from the confusion. read more

We did give 5 stars to these so called lawyers and they were 5 stars up till the creditor court meeting. We were given a lawyer who had no experience with these type of meetings and that was when our nightmare started. We were told by the trustee that we had to pay back our income taxes because we had no right to spend them. Our lawyer told us prior that we didn't have to worry about it. Now almost one year later and we have to pay over 6k to the trustee because we listened to our lawyer even though he told us that it was agreed on $3500. Tried to call them and email them with no response. We signed just to end this nightmare. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! read more

ZERO STARS . . . the worst law firm, staff, people . . . Worst experience in our life. The paralegals and attorneys are incompetent. Everytime we call in with questions, the lawyer handling our case is no longer with them and no one bothered to tell us. Our case got all screwed up because of a mistake made by the paralegal and because the turnover rate of the attorneys is so high, no one is around long enough to help us. Even the managing partners i have talked with seem to disappear. This is a crappy emotional situation to be in in the first place, so to have the law firm you hired to help you just make it worse is AWFUL! WORST LAW FIRM EVER. read more

Why can't I rate a ZERO? PLEASE! Do not hire them. They took my money. NO problem! Then complete silence. No texts. No calls. No emails. Not even crickets... They did do an emergency bk skeleton filing for me and convinced me to not only hire them as my bankruptcy atty, but my loan modification atty. They gladly took my $300+ for the filing. They also charge $500 per month to supposedly help win your modification and they convinced me that's exactly what I needed. Just so you know, there is only ONE attorney there. The owner. The rest are paralegal wannabes. Its horrible. Right after I hired them the female that they put on my case was absolutely unreachable for almost two weeks!! If you've ever been through this nightmare you'll know that there are deadlines with the court. (But they won't tell you that.) I was told she was supposedly home with the flu. And "she'll be sure to contact you when she's back in the office..." Yeah. Right. When I did finally reach her she informed me that I would not received a modification. "Sell your house and move!!!" ???? NOT her job. She does not work for my loan co. OR the courts. If that was true, then why take my money? Vannova is being sued by a couple of people for exactly this. Call Robert Payne. He saved me. Saved my sanity! A friend of mine had also hired them for a bk. They added an extra $10,000 of bogus debt to her bankruptcy. Thank goodness she caught it before signing. She also can't get a response from Vannova at all. read more
