    'The Big' Breakfast: $20.50
    Paul V.

While I otherwise love my frequent accommodation that is the Hilton Sydney, their breakfast leaves much to be desired, so I'm glad I've found Vanto - who provide a much better breakfast for significantly less cost. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Vanto's location within CBD really can't be beat, and while they could let that location do all the talking while slipping elsewhere - they don't, and the service and atmosphere are both excellent. Specific kudos to my Italian server, who was fantastic. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? For $20.50 I ordered Vanto's 'Big' breakfast, which was, well, honestly not very big. As you can see in the picture, I got two pieces of toast, two poached eggs, a small tomato, some mushrooms, a single piece of bacon, and a single strip of sausage. That's not quite enough food to warrant the title or price of the dish in my mind, but I'm chalking this one up to my American perception of what portions should be. Other menu items whose portions looked more significant were priced fairly. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? While my breakfast wasn't as large as I would have liked, the quality was certainly there. The toast was excellent, and when I combined it with the poached eggs and the rest of the goods it came together brilliantly. I like portions, but I weigh them evenly with good quality ingredients. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? The portions are such that I wouldn't, but it's a much better option than many of the nearby choices. No Star Granted.

Authentic Italian woodfire pizza...recommend highly the Tartufo (white base, prosciutto & truffle oil) & one the best places in the CBD for great espresso coffee. Dining either inside or out amongst the beautiful historic QVB surrounds.

America get it together, look at all these GF & veg options!

So far I'm impressed. The food hasn't even come yet though, so I'll get back to you. Gluten free pizza without having to ask for it special, yes. Vegan options, yes. Flat white on its way, let's see how that goes. My first Italian dining in Sydney. Usually I have to stay away from Italian eateries because I don't eat meat or gluten but I heard a rumor Vanto wouldn't disappoint. Plus, it's in the historical Queen Victoria Building! Not to be missed. Flat white update: 4 stars. I'd walk across the street to BlueBird cafe and have my coffee there & lunch here. But I'm a coffee snob. If you aren't fussed, you'll enjoy their offerings.

    Quiet cheesy but so yummy

I love this place!! I have been going there for about 4 years. Beautiful place in the QVB. I love their pizza and I believe it is the best in sydney. Woodfire pizza just like naples yum! Ps some waiters don't have the best english

Beautiful organic granola, fruit, nuts & compote.

What a lovely spot in the QV building! Love the organic and free range options. The granola w fruits, nuts & compote was very tasty. The granola was beautifully crunchy and roasted, the fruits fresh, and the compote sweet. The croissant was good, and the flat white delicious. Looking forward to returning!

Wonderful spot for a glass of wine and lunch while enjoying the lovely historic QVB shopping centre. We opted for the pizza special, a delightful pear, Gorgonzola & walnut wood-fired pie, drizzled with the best balsamic vinegar ever and topped with arugula. Perfect to share when accompanied by a glass of wine. Impeccable service, to boot.

The menu has whats called a 'Healthy Breakfast' I...um... didn't have that. The inference is thus that my breakfast was a 'Not Healthy Breakfast' Thats not what it was called though, they called it 'Eggs Benedict' 'Bene' being latin for 'good' and 'dict' meaning ...something else. Anyway my brekky was probably not healthy, although it did have spinach. It had been steamed into oblivion and all it did was make my teeth go furry. And the eggs were poached not fried. So thats the healthy bit. What really prevented it from being called 'healthy' is this - an essential part of 'Eggs Well Rogered' is Hollandaise sauce. This stuff was invented by a Dutchman- Antje Van den Baconfried for eating in Holland...um...during the day. It is also useful for plugging...actually, no its probably not. I suspect it's not very good for you but my god does it amp up bacon and eggs! Vanto is very Italian. The guys are all in black, and all babble to each other in Italian. Or Dutch - I'm really not sure. But they are super friendly and this place is in the Queen Victoria Building which means that even 'Not Healthy' food is not that bad for you. Because its got soul, and you won't find fake Mexican... and, well, you know, its the QVB! Which somehow survived Sydney's developers. And I love it.

    Pancetta - very good

I love this place and sorry I discovered it with only two left on my trip. The food is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. I tried the vegetable wood fired sandwich, a white pizza, and a red pizza. All tasted out of this world. The only thing that exceeds the food is the staff. I've tried pizza at over a dozen places in Australia, including gradi which supposedly has the best pizza in Australia, and the best pizza I had by far was at Vanto. If you are in Sydney you have to try Vanto. I love this place so much I would make the 10,000 mile journey just to come here. Vanto what's the delivery charge to the USA?

    Healthy Breakfast

The best breakfast I've ever had. Mark my words, you will not regret ordering the Healthy Breakfast. The smoked salmon, poached eggs, avacado, and portabella mushrooms proved to be the perfect combination for my Tuesday morning breakfast craving. Brother ordered the bacon eggs Benedict which looked absurdly delicious as well. Top notch breakfast, people. Top. Notch.

Eggs benedict, get it or you'll regret it.
    Justin F.

The eggs benedict is to die for. Get it or I'll say I told you so. My gf had the roast beef sandwich which was pretty good, but I could tell she wanted a bite of my benedict. Not gonna happen lady!

There were no potatoes served with the dish, just sourdough toast under the eggs, so I felt the serving size did not justify the price. $21.00 for 2 eggs with no spice and toast. Seriously!! I would not recommend. There is no service. The whole experience did not provide value for the money.

We came in thinking it was just a coffee shop, but it's essentially a restaurant that also has a focus on coffee. They have a full bar and a window to the outside where you can order just coffee and tea to go. As for the interior it's dimly lit and sort of has romantic date night vibes. We essentially only ordered coffee and one person ordered a cake slice. The lychee cake was pretty good per my aunt. A couple people ordered the Coco Loco, which is basically an espresso martini on steroids with Nutella and something like a Ferrero Rocher. I ordered a latte and their Affogato. The latte was very smooth and BI is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Is the Affogato a cheat code because they use like a tiramisu ice cream? You could argue that case. You can also buy their blends of coffee beans, subject to availability. While the latte was very smooth, I can't say it was mind blowing but it was still pretty good.
