Wow is this place a joke. I don't know where to start. Each time I walk into this place, it's either I am forced to deal with a snobby stuck up wench or forced to deal with someone who has no care in the world or has no idea what he/she is talking about; or both. I always smoke the Uncle Junk's Jon Wayne Genius Juice 6mg but learned that they were out of stock and it was on back order. I was out of what I had so I asked the gentlemen to give me something similar. He gave me some crap menthol. It was unbearably disgusting. So, I took it back and was forced to buy something different. After telling the woman what the gentleman recommended, she replied "he's an idiot". Whatever that means. So, I bought a bottle of more tolerable juice (no discount, no apology, nothing). The $18 is not an issue, it's just the principle. I left the Menthol on the counter and was flagged down by the woman working there but it was so disgusting I told her to have the "idiot" smoke it himself. After researching online, I found better prices and better quality of product and customer service elsewhere.. Pretty much anywhere else but here actually. I will never be back and hope you (for your sake) look elsewhere for your vaporizer needs as well. read more

Things I look for in a good vape shop are: quality e-juice, rebuilding materials, advanced devices, and a knowledgeable staff. Vape Scene has all of it. I have been to every store in the Chicagoland area, and this place is the best. Best selection of high quality juice, and most importantly, good people. The owners are great guys and really care about their customers. They have recently added a juice bar, for all you who use RDA's, you can stop in a drip all of their juice for free. This is AWESOME. Living right down the street and recently getting into the whole Vape scene recently, this spot definitely sparked my interest. HOWEVER. Upon my first, and now my ONLY visit, I went in (as somewhat of a novice when it comes to vapes) to see if maybe they would be able to take a look at my KangerTech ProTank II that wasn't functioning properly. Right away, the staff identified the issue of a faulty atomizer (which was sort of a given, and I had known myself upon entering) which was great! And I was impressed! I was not impressed however how the girl who helped me at the time gave me an attitude as if I were dumb for asking the questions I was asking. She then proceeded to simply take my vape apart, and replace the atomizer without any information on what it would cost me, or what she was doing (which I would have liked to have learned more about how my own vape worked at the time and would have appreciated; but of course wasn't the end of the world) Handed it back to me to try once the atomizer was replaced, and it worked! Woo! I paid a cheap price for a new atomizer and a speedy replacement, and was simply in and out to avoid any further interaction with this girls unpleasant attitude. It wasn't until I got in the car to take my vape back apart (because it stopped working properly as soon as I exited the shop) that I had realized she completely forgot to put one of my gaskets back into the atomizer upon rebuilding. Which again, was not the end of the world, clearly she was in a hurry as she left the shop before I even had the chance to. But upon reentering the shop to let an employee know what was going on, I was greeted immediately by a VERY helpful individual who immediately recognized I was missing a gasket! He then proceeded to pull another employee over to double check, and reassure me; who then proceeded to give me nothing but snotty remarks and attitude about how my atomizer isn't missing any pieces AT ALL. Mind you I took my atomizer apart and made a mental note of every piece visible (upon deconstruction of course) before even entering the shop in the first place; which this employee was incorrect. All I wanted was the reassurance that my rig would have been put back together exactly the way it was as to not cause any issues in the future, but I was instead belittled (AGAIN) and shoved off afterwards due to my disagreeing with their practice in care of my rig. Needless to say they had one unhappy customer that day, and I will NOT be returning to this shop ever, nor would I recommend simply due to that one experience. I understand people have bad days, and may even take it out by mistake on a customer. But when my atomizer craps out on me 2 weeks later for no good reason that I can identify myself, I would say warrants a review to at least inform people of what they are getting themselves into. Hopefully their customer service steps up; or at least can control their emotions long enough to take it into the back room before they sink their business. read more

This place is awesome. I've had this cheap disposable ecig habit that was costing me a lot of money. I went to VapeScene a bit hesitant and not really knowing what i was looking for. As soon as i walked in, i was greeted with a friendly "Hello!" and didn't feel awkward at all. I talked to Gary who set me up with a basic starter kit. One of the coolest things about this place is that they let you taste the juices before you buy them, and they have disposable "mouthpieces" so that its sanitary. There's also hand-sanitizer on the counters too, very clean. So I bought the basic starter kit for around 50$, including two bottles of ejuice. Ive been back twice to buy more supplies, and each time I'm greeted with a "hello" when i walk in. The staff are all very smart, friendly and helpful. read more

Went in there last week on a whim to check it out. The girl was very nice, and seemed helpful enough. However, their prices were ridiculously high. $10 for a basic, and I mean basic, drip tip that I can buy online for $2?? $60 for a mod I can buy online for $35?? I don't mind paying a little more for something at a B&M, but these prices are insane. Their house juice prices seemed fair, though. read more

They will also do builds for you, and as along as its safe they will help you do those sub ohm builds all those cool kids are talking about. I was completely new to vaping and knew nothing about it, but wanted to see if it would help me quit smoking. The staff at Vape Scene took their time to explain everything to me in great detail, they never made me feel uninformed. They were extremely polite and happy to help, and were very interested in making sure I found flavors I enjoyed. Just picked up one of my favorite juices, unfortunately it was very old. To my surprise they will not exchange old juice. For those of you who are novice vapors, nicotine darkens as it ages. The darker the juice the older, Varying in nic concentration. The juice I picked up is clear at 3%, 6% and 12%. However you will not know this until you open the bottle and when purchased at this store it is to late. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Think I'll stick to making my own from now on. read more

I knew they would be more expensive but thought it would worth the money to have expertise in the products. I was sold a "clone" mod which I paid 5x the price online. The product ended up being defective and exploding all over my hands. I showed it to the owner and he said I was missing a part. He told me that he would try to find a replacement part but failed to call me back. I have left him multiple messages and he still has not called back. This has been a horrible experience and I will be looking for another vape shop to call home. read more

Yay! A 5 star place. Whenever I go in there it's always because of some issue with my vape (my fault not theirs, I'm clumsy) . I'm always greeted with a warm welcome even if the place is super busy. The owner (I assume ) is really chill and laid back . Always fixes my vape no questions asked . Nice to have such a good place in lake county . A bunch of different variety of juice / and vapes themselves. I probably won't go anywhere else , so get used to seeing my face if you need new juice they have almost all of there flavors to try out . Also there's a lounge if you're trying to chill for a bit . I will never go in this shop again! The heavy set Latino guy is a total jag. He was going to over charge me for a mod and when I confronted him in front of another manager he lied and told me he never said the price he did. Working with the other manager I setup a purchase for an item they didn't have at this store but could get it for me the next day from the Schaumburg store. Next day comes and I call from work late in the day to see if I can stop on my way home and pick it up but they did not follow through. Then when I asked where it was if I could just go pick it up from Schaumburg the same Heavy set guy copped an attitude and told me he would call me right back. Before he hung up I asked if he had a replacement glass for a tank I was using at the time and he told me to hold on then hung up on me. On a different occasion I was in there, I was left standing for about 10 minutes while they helped people who came in after me and then assumed I was with someone else that was in there before I got there. They really don't pay attention to customers very much and also don't carry any juices for users over 10mg. It's really a shame because they had a nice selection of mods and tanks for sub ohm. Too bad I'll have to spend my money elsewhere. read more

The first pen I bought in there broke withinn 3 weeks I went in got another one and that one also went bad it took the third time me going in to get a working pen and by that point I wanted to switch to a box mod so they recommended an older mod the I stick 50 watt which retails for like 35 at the time I bought it was 70 dollars at vape scene and the one I got was used. They said they were having a sale on older models but in reality they where selling used pens I got an I stick 50w and it went out within a week so I went back and since it was a so called "older model" they didnt have any replacements so they said they would Sent it to the manufacturer and get a replacement said wouldn't be longer than a week or 2. 2 months later I finally get my pen back and what do I get a beat to hell I stick had scratches all over the sides no box I feel dumb for excepting that but at that point I just wanted my pen back that I paid 70 dollars for anyways buy online directly from a manufacturer with a warranty the only thing I will buy from vape scene in the future is fluid. Oh and the service is really bad a bunch of snobs that have conflicting views all of em say different things than the other on how to build. read more
