I don't normally bother with stuff like this, but I gotta say that this place rocks! They deserve a big shoutout.
This weekend, I had a really bad experience with one of their competitors and was frustrated to the point I was shaking.
I will be posting an account of my experience at MVP later today, but this is all about Vapor Emporia and, especially, their manager Terry. When I went in I was really upset about how I had been treated down the street. Terry was waiting on another customer but greeted me when I walked in and explained that he'd be with me in just a moment. I guess the person he was working with was new and had a lot of questions.
I was really impressed with how patient and thorough he was and, rather than ignoring me until he was done, drew me into the conversation to share my experiences. That felt really good, even more so because of what I'd just experienced at the other shop.
The first customer left happy and with a really good understanding of the starter kit they bought and vaping in general. Then it was my turn.
Again, I was impressed. He ACTUALLY LISTENED to me instead of just trying to push a sale on me they way the other shop did. I was having a problem with my mod and was going to buy a new one. He started by asking me about my mod, what was wrong and what I liked/disliked about it. My mod wasn't firing even though it was fully charged. I bought it because of the long battery life, good power and small size. I need to be able to put it in my pocket at work and it was the perfect solution.
Rather than tell me that my mod was junk and only people that don't know any better buy them (That's a quote, by the way), Terry looked at and in less than ten seconds spotted the problem. I had pushed the contact plate down too far and it wasn't touching the base of my tank. He adjusted it and it fired like a champ! I didn't even buy it there, but he fixed it for me!!!
Sure, he could have treated me like a fool and then pushed something on me that didn't meet my specific needs so he could make a sale, but he didn't. He listened, treated me with respect and came up with a solution that works best FOR ME.
I was prepared to drop around a hundred dollars on a new mod so did he cost his shop a sale? Not really. Between my husband and I we spend quite a bit on trying new oils and He is always buying new gear. Vapor Emporia will now be getting all of that money.
To me, the way I saw him treat another customer and the way he treated me, is what being a pro is all about.
As an ending note, DO NOT believe the lies being spread by weak competitors. Vapor Emporia is the real deal. read more
