This is a nice little place on the way to Molalla to stop and eat. I had the chicken tacos, the chicken was shredded, I prefer grilled chicken, it has more flavor and there is a salsa bar to spice things up if you like. The horchata was tasty also. Great place for Mexican, the staff is friendly. Taco Tuesday is our favorite we go at least one a month. The avocado green sauce is spicy and delicious. The salsa bar is a awesome accommodation. You can see right into the kitchen and the cooks appear clean and happy. It's really busy on Tuesday nights due to .99 tacos so I recommend going before dinner rush. read more

This is just like the restaurants we used to frequent in LA. Good hearty, well seasoned food for a decent price and it's cooked well! We grabbed carne asada tacos and nachos they know how to make a decent plate of nachos! We have also been coming frequently for the bacon breakfast burritos. They have complimentary, unlimited chips, salsa, and self-serve toppings such as pico, pickled vegetables, other fun sauces. This morning whoever was cooking breakfast burritos this morning deserves a raise. Very very good compared to the mash potatoe burrito I got last time about 3 or 4 months ago. I wrote this place off until my wife brought home some of there shrimp soup which was pretty amazing. So I thought I'd give it another shot this morning. Last time I got a bacon burrito it was full of mash potatoes it felt like. No crispy hash browns or fries you would think would come in a breakfast burrito. Bacon was cooked way to long almost hard. No flavor. No salt. Had to throw most of it out. Today is a different day. Maybe they got a new chef that cares, but this burrito today was the best I've had since I made my own last summer camping. Service was poor, food was grisly; so much my boyfriend and I couldn't finish our tacos FOR TACO TUESDAY !!! The whole reason we went was for taco Tuesday and there seemed to be quiet a bit of customers coming in once we were sat down and eating already. But listen you guys okay as a mom with a son with sensory/learning difficulties it's hard for him to eat certain foods ... long story short it's always a hassle asking for accommodations for a young child when the servers act as if it's a bother. Okay you try and be given something you don't want or can't eat or etc. I asked for specifically no sour cream on his plain (just cheese) quesadilla. No extras just as plain as it could get right. They repeated it back to me and they still brought it out with sour cream ALL OVER his quesadilla. Then when I asked for something to clean it off with she sat there looking at me dazed like she couldn't understand me... i was already fed up at this point trying to get my sons food prepared correctly so he could eat. Then they bring us extra food, charged us for it too! Then to top it all off; mind you this is what actually pissed me off like I was done at this point and excited to leave! My boyfriend goes to the counter to pay and get boxes for the food. No one was up at the counter behind him nothing! He stood there while these ladies walked around him for TEN Minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great lunch option for the Mulino Mollala area. It's a small roadside place. Brightly colored interior, with a nice fresh salsa bar, and Norteno music playing when I was there. Your classic taqueria. Living in NorCal and consuming a great deal of high quality Mexican food, I just can't give this place a 4. The pricing is good. Tacos are $1.50 normally and $0.99 normally. The other items seem to have a reasonable price. I had three tacos, carnitas, carne asada, and pollo. The carnitas was good but a little salty. The asada was decent. The pollo was a huge miss, it is boiled. The onion and cilantro were a a little sparse and there was no salsa on the taco. The salsa bar was available but the salsa was nothing to write home about. I will give them credit for making their own pickles jalapeños and carrots. What did I learn today? It must be an Oregon thing. This is my new favorite place for Taco Tuesday! $.99 every Tuesday for delicious tacos! I get the fried asada, as it is my favorite! This place used to be an old divey restaurant complete with low ceilings that attempted to cater to those who flew into Mulino Airport. Now it's an excellent Mexican place with great prices and delicious food. The ambiance is festive and the owners (who I believe are a husband/wife team) have really had fun decorating the place. They also offer Horchata, which is one of my favorite Mexican drinks (rice milk with cinnamon). Looking forward to trying other things on the menu. They also offer daily lunch specials that I'll be trying someday also. I just learned that the owner's student attends school across the street at the local elementary school.
