The owner is literally mentally ill. She will strike herself in front of clients, have outbursts of crying. She does not return calls. Every season she fake an illness after April 15th and goes missing for long periods of time. I hope she gets the help she needs but the turn around to get anything done should be a week or so, not several months. The cheaper price isn't worth the degraded service. read more

I am filing this complaint regarding gross negligence and lack of communication by Vargo Tax Service. I dropped off my tax documents before the IRS deadline, expecting timely processing. Without informing me, the business filed an extension the same day I submitted my return. Since then, communication has been nonexistent. In May, I followed their voicemail instructions and left a concise message. I received no response. In June, I attempted to call again but was met with a message that their voicemail had not been set up. In July, I physically went to their office (during posted hours) and encountered three other individuals also concerned that their taxes were missing or never filed. We are unable to check our IRS refund status because we have no documentation or confirmation about what was submitted--if anything. Additionally, my 82-year-old grandmother, who also used this service and usually owes taxes, has received no communication or confirmation that an extension was filed on her behalf. We demand: Immediate written confirmation of the filing status for both myself and my grandmother Any documentation submitted to the IRS on our behalf An explanation for the communication breakdown Assurance that this matter will be resolved urgently to avoid further harm This situation has caused serious anxiety and confusion, especially for elderly clients. I respectfully request that the BBB investigate this business for potential negligence and failure to uphold basic professional standards. read more

We have been calling and driving there and no one is answering. We dropped our taxes off and heard anything.

I don't know why anyone would even give this business two stars she is not deserving of even one!!! After no communication until the week of October 15, 2025, and keeping us in the dark for six months, and holding our taxes hostage, she still thought she was entitled for payment. We ended up paying fines because the IRS still had no knowledge of the filed extension! We paid the fines but we are still hashing it out with the IRS to get refunded that money back because of her negligence! We were with Vargo taxes for over 20 years and shame on Bob for recommending her! Very disappointed in her lack of professionalism!! read more

I've been using Bob's tax service for over 30 years this year he decided to sell the business to some lady I dropped my taxes off there and haven't heard from them since they still have all my tax documents and I can't reach anyone by way of phone text or email. And here we are September 5th and I still have a received my documents back or her to reply from anyone. I even contacted two different news channels to see if they could help me out and haven't heard anything from either one channel 5 or channel 8 I wouldn't recommend checking anything to their tax service. read more

We have been using Bob since he was down on 73rd and Dennison and he has always been solid. He has sold the business and the new owner filed an extension as they were overwhelmed to make the 4/15 deadline. It is now August and not a word despite several emails and text messages to the new owner. At this point there is no recourse but to involve local authorities and the SOS. It is truly a shame that the reputation has been destroyed in a single year. read more

This business has changed names now to to Blonde and needy llc with various showing under it. When it was just cargo was excellent no problems tax prepared in 3 days my refund in 2 weeks. Now this year took these people 3 weeks giving me the same bs each week that would be a few days as its under review, til today I had enough and just told them I want the paperwork I brought in and I'll go someplace else. The woman and only one that previously worked there last year under cargo I beleive she may have took over the business from the old man just had a stone face didnt say anything and had me sign a paper saying they would not take me as a client disclosed, I almost had to laugh as I had no plans as being their client if thats how they treat clients and from what I was over hearing of their fees im glad as it sounds like it went drastically up. I also have have been filing my taxes with Bob for over 15 years and found out he sold the business but I went in person back in April spoke to Bob who put in an extension and advise they were behind and it be a few months but this is ridiculous! I have called with no good number or email so I went in person to find office closed with mail on the floor you could see from the front door like it's been weeks since anyone has been there. There was a note on door with a different number to text and email which I used both with also no response?? This is not like Bob to do this. I wish someone would reach out and let us know what's going on? This so unprofessional. I need my taxes! read more

Great local Tax Service. Bob has been doing my taxes since 2015. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and is very fair priced. I've always been charged $60-$100 for tax services. Highly recommend! read more
