I can't complain about Joe as a person, because he was a nice guy, but his office was pretty disorganized, and I had to take the initiative to reach out numerous times to get status reports and updates rather than his office keeping me apprised. Also, at the actual closing, he sent some random attorney that I had never met before without even giving me a heads up that someone else was going to show up to my closing. It really wasn't appreciated right before the largest purchase of my entire life to that point, and I just stood there like, "who the hell are you?" until she introduced herself. Last thing that turned me off was that literally the day after I got the key to the house, the ceiling collapsed from a roof leak that the owner lied about, and when I called him to ask him for his assistance, he basically told me that I should call a litigation attorney, but that it wouldn't be worth it and there was nothing much I could do about it. That very well may have been the case, but for an incredibly distressed first-time homebuyer facing an emergent $20K repair the day after buying the house, it was a very not-compassionate response. This was my first closing, so maybe all real estate attorneys handle the "small apples" cases the same way, but I definitely got the sense that I was just one faceless, nameless person for them. With that being said (typed), the lawyer Michael H Aspinall, has forced my hand. My name is Eric Jones Amponsah. Date of birth: December 23, 1988, son of Eddie Amponsah & Shirley Osei-Owusu. On June 14, 2020, I was arrested. Michael Aspinall was assigned to my case June 11, 2021. Within the first two interactions with Aspinall, I was dubious about him as an attorney for my case. I believe he is violating my sixth amendment to the U.S. constitution: the accused shall enjoy the assistance of counsel for his defense. Also, I believe he does not have my best interest in the outcome of the current case that he is representing. Recently, I called him for documents that have been submitted to the courts, in favor to me. The reasoning for the documents were to assist me in obtaining a job to help better my life and pay for things that I need. I did not receive the requested documents nor did he give me any guidance on how to obtain said documents. Now the chance that I will be able to obtain the job is in limbo because the documents were not submitted within the given time that was requested of the employer. There have been numerous times that I have called his phone to get information about the case and I seemed to be rushed off of the phone and overall not satisfied with his services. There is a family member of mine whom is his senior, that I have had call the attorney to their displeasure on their first conversation. I do not believe he has any confidence in himself nor the case that he is representing me on. To his favor, I have spoken to an attorney by the name Mr. Patrick Watts of 878 Melrose Ave, Bronx, NY 10451, whom I have had received great representation from in the past. He has said that Aspinall is a good attorney to my disagreement. Nonetheless, overall, I am not satisfied as a client of his. Hopefully, this does not continue for other clients. Peace.

I offered to change the review if he could demonstrate that any aspect of it was not factually accurate. He responded only with petty attempts at insults. I am legally disabled and was forced out of my sublet when the primary tenants entered illegally and claimed to be my roommates on July 6. I was referred to this attorney through ARAG legal insurance. On July 9 at 1:41PM this lawyer informed me via email "The only choice you have is to start an emergency action for illegal access" and agreed to be paid by ARAG to file this on my behalf. He informed me that he would not be able to file until early the following week. That was the last time he took a call from me. That evening I tried to retrieve belongings and the primary tenant tried to have me arrested. I called my lawyer frantic. He never acknowledged the call. I did not receive a draft until July 15, It had multiple omissions including failing to include any exhibits. He told me to make suggested edits but did not provide a document in editable format. I finally generated a Word doc with my suggested edits and asked if any were relevant. His only response was to demand payment for the process server and filing fee without instructions on how to submit payment which I did not receive until July 17. He suggested that I simply enter the apartment to retrieve the belongings, ignoring 1. the police instruction not to try to enter without a police escort and 2. that I am disabled and cannot move belongings without assistance.I asked him what I needed to do to get him to file the document in Court - now 11 days after I was forced out - and he withdrew, telling me to file myself ignoring, again , I AM LEGALLY PHYSICALLY DISABLED and sent me his wholly inadequate OSC draft which did not even have the the defendant's name spelled correctly. He had the option to decline the job on July 9. Instead he strung me along, knowing that I did not have access to Rx medication and other disability aids, for over a week before abandoning my case. I am now locked out, without my medication and other belongings, and have no help with Court. Shameful, unethical, and just cruel conduct
