Located right in the middle of downtown Tucker, this business is surrounded by activity and unorthodox educational opportunities. The children here go on field trips every week and they have a theme that they follow weekly too. They look forward to learning something new each week and incorporating all aspects of their learning that week to the theme. It's amazing to see children so excited about school and learning. My son enjoys going to school here and looks forward to what he will learn each week. I have never seen him so excited about school. That is the best part for me. I want my children to be excited about education and learning and finding new ways to work learning new things into their daily lives. The Math Depot has helped me do just that. Bonnie, Eric, and Susan asked thoughtful questions about our son to match him with the best tutor available. To say they succeeded would be an understatement. Natalie worked with Trey on his executive functioning skills, patiently showed him different ways of doing things, and supported him until his grades soared and he no longer needed help with Lit. In 10th grade, Geometry and Science challenged him, so we reached out to BCG for help in those subjects. Once again, they exceeded our expectations. Gerald, his Science tutor, teaches the same class in a nearby county and presents information differently than my son's teacher, works through several exercises to make sure our son understands the material, and makes suggestions of what he can do to stay on track until his next weekly session. Dan, our son's Geometry tutor, might be an angel in disguise. Thanks to his guidance and explanations, our son excitedly refreshes his Infinite Campus app to see how well he did on quizzes and tests instead of dreading the grades being posted. (Truly, he's excited to check his grades; what teen gets excited about anything other than sleeping in!?) We're incredibly grateful to have found BCG and know that, if our son needs tutoring in other subjects, BCG will find the right tutor who understands how our son learns and help him succeed in his classes.

Truly, this is what the company is known for. Competitors gave vague answers and I could tell this was not their specialty at all. Bs/md programs are expensive, a private school can cost $75k a year and times that by 7 or 8 years for bs/md program. So I do not recommend trying to skimp on the help your child needs to get into this type of competitive program. It's more than worth the money to hire a professional counselor to guide your child. My son was accepted to numerous bs/md programs and with scholarships too. We are thrilled.

We discovered Hess Academy when we were looking for a preschool program for our son. By the time it…read morewas time for him to begin Kindergarten at City Schools of Decatur (he was zoned for Winnona), we were so in love with Hess that we decided to stay. There are so many things that are great about Hess, but here the three things that work especially well for us. First, plenty of healthy outside time. The kids begin the day with 20-30 minutes in the playground before they need to into their classes. Lunch and recess are another hour, and everyone finishes the day with another 15 minutes in the playground. Second, classes are capped at 12-14 students with two full-time teachers. The individualized attention that our son's intellectual and emotional needs receive are, therefore, outstanding. Finally, the kids (and teachers) do not go through the horrible Standardized Testing that has become the norm at the Public-School system (although teachers and educators have been saying for years that this kind of testing is pedagogically harmful). There is so much more to love about this school--like the devotion that Hess teachers show their students and the sense of community. Just go and tour the school!
