Everyone needs to realize Vasa ain't the type of company to reinvest into machines, weights and exercise equipment. It's all about getting rid of basketball courts and racquetball courts to make studios to make more money. The gym everywhere in Utah is basic. It's sad. Nothing special about this gym or organization. Someone need to start up a better gym so we can all leave vasa therefore vasa can go out of business. Organizations like this need a lesson. Sadly, VASA as an organization is more focused on making money than helping actual people. I was excited when I got a membership, but then had circumstances change suddenly and was unable to use it. I tried to move it, but there were exorbitant fees for cancelling, freezing, or changing your membership at all. I really wish that they would see me as an actual person and try to work with me instead of inventing every excuse to take more money. Paying $100 in extra fees isn't much to some people, but for others it is. Great staff and equipment, sad intent of the organization. Do not get this membership if you just need it for a few months. Or if you might have plans change and need a company that will work with you. Just don't get a membership. It's not worth it unless they change some things at the organizational level. read more

Yeah, of course, I did in the small print terms and conditions that nobody reads anyway, but your trainer didn't specify that, Hey, listen, it's going to be a living nightmare if you want out of this, just so you know Yeah, you don't tell people that another thing, the people who do your billing--that's an absolute joke. I mean, come on, I ask for a copy of my contract, and there's like it's going to take 5 to 7 business days to reach you because in the year 2024, we just can't send emails to people like that. There's a process, huh! Yea, give me a break, then they will tell you, Oh, we sent it. I got it right in front of me. We sent it. Hell no, you didn't send it because there's a catch somewhere. Pretty small for the vasas I'm use to no sauna or pool, basic machines and weights, Not as crowded as usual vasa's are gets the job done

Been going to this gym (Draper) throughout 2024 and am impressed with how much it has expanded. I used to try to go there years ago but it was too small and not enough equipment. So, I've gone to other locations. Checked this one out in a rush and was surprised to see how much it had improved so kept going. I have been a member since Vasa came to Utah and overall haven't had any complaints other than it seems like sometimes equipment is broken for months which can be frustrating, especially because we pay a yearly fee to helpful with that?. But as far as Draper Vasa, I am glad to now have a location closer to me that has what I need. Staff seems overall helpful and friendly. read more

Horrible costumer service. I had an account in 2023 that I ended up canceling in November. I just noticed that starting March 2024 I was charged again I was getting about 2 to 3 charges a month when I was no longer a member there. I tried to reach out to customer service for help and they said there's nothing they could do even though there was almost $500 in transactions since I canceled my account. read more

So I have to say I've been a member of Vasa member for almost 15 years off and on I usually go to this one about once a month because sometimes it's on my way to the work never had a problem at any of the other gyms besides this one this morning I had to work out the two people at the front desk were very nice however the blonde manager that refused to give her name was completely rude at the end of my workout I asked to go tanning with my fiance they asked for sunglasses I said why do you need sunglasses when we signed a waiver just out of curiosity the blonde manager started obscenely being mean and said it was our policy and if I did not like it she would do an instant report and apparently I've been a problem at this location constantly I've never even seen her before so I don't know what she is talking about I know one of the district managers Adam and I know most of of the managers like in Taylorsville and also 3500 South and West valley never had a problem work out with most of the managers she was extremely rude to me and my fiance and when I went tanning she even said in front of customers that she was going to do an incident report this person needs to learn customer service I will not be going back to this one whatsoever read more

Why is it once again? There's always rap music on. I asked the staff many time to play something else they told me it's out of there control and to call corporate. I've been in here before where they had the rock music on and the girl with the long dark hair, changed it back to the rap station. I come here to relieve the stresses of my life and I don't know why they can't simply play music that has more of a variety. I just don't understand it on a chalkboard doesn't care. I have been a member of Vasa for over a year, and I have been pleased with the cardio equipment and weights. It's always clean, and they actually listen to their members. I was given the opportunity to give feedback from an online survey so I did it, and I mentioned they needed foam rollers. Two months later they had foam rollers. I was so excited to know they actually do listen. My only negative comment is it's awfully hot in this small location. I checked the thermostat and it was 72 degrees!!! That's the temperature I keep my house at but for a workout facility??? Right now they are remodeling so it's a little tight, but it will be nice and new when it's done. I have been going to this Vasa for a little over 2 years now and I love it! I have made friends with the staff and they are always excited to help me find new workouts and techniques when I ask! The only problem is, it's too small. It gets really busy between 2pm until 10pm just about everyday, it feels like everyone is on top of each other. I think if they got a bigger facility it would be more comfortable to work out, there would be access to more equipment and they would have enough room to have some of the luxury's other gyms have. Smallest gym I've ever been to. Impossible to go at peak times as it is too difficult to even obtain a machine. No sauna, steam room, pool, or cycle room. It also is difficult to find a spot on the green grass to do any type of workout. It makes no sense why they haven't upgraded to a different location yet in draper as this one is always over crowded. Only nice thing about this location is the staff. I will avoid this gym at all costs and go to the Riverton or Sandy one instead as it is larger. You'd think with the yearly $70 fee that they would at least try to better cater to this location. read more

Hot steaming pile of trash. This gym is horrible and just try to take as much money from you as possible. They are trying to charge 125$ to cancel, when I explicitly told the receptionist that I won't sign a contract unless I don't pay a cancellation fee since I'm only in town for a month and a half. They said that's totally fine and there won't be a fee, I'm now trying to cancel and they are saying there's no way I can cancel without the 14 different atrocious fees for cancelling. I'm now stuck trying to cancel and also trying to figure out why the receptionist doesn't tell you about any of the fees and the fact that they lie to you. Don't touch any of the locations with a 10 foot pole just a complete trap to rip you off as much as possible. Keep in mind my coworker did the same thing as me and when he went to cancel his membership he wasn't charged anything. I'm making sure that all of my other coworkers leave terrible reviews as well. read more

One of the smaller Vasa's, but not the smallest I've been too. It has everything you need. Went around 6:30pm on a Thursday and it wasn't crazy busy. Fairly clean, for a gym anyway... I'd go back. Good size Turf area for functional training and conditioning. Didn't notice any power racks, but there were at least 2 squat racks. read more

This is my gym due to convenient locations throughout the valley and price is fairly reasonable. Employees are friendly and but they do not focus on making sure weights are racked and equipment is put away correctly. I have a very hard time finding the 5, 10, and 25 weights and the dumbbell area is always a mess. It is really busy from 5-8pm but before or after that is pretty light in volume of people. gym members are 50.50 when putting weights away but are relatively just doing their own thing. There is only one water fountain by the locker room/ bathroom and this location does have a cinema room which is nice considering it's not a full gym with pool, basketball, and such. read more

I've been going to the gym for about a year now... and I am pretty happy... Most of the staff is cool and friendly enough. And they try their best to wipe down everything. But it's the gym goers job to wipe before and after front to back and also RACK YOUR OWN WEIGHTS. Thank you all for being open during the pandemic, and letting me stay mentally sane. Much respect and love..... Ps. If we could get one more cable Machine set up, 1 bench squat rack set up, and another lat or leg machine, with about 8 more 45lb plates, I'd be happy. Went in to use my free trial day pass in order to determine if this was the gym for me. Apparently because I was a member with Gold's Gym over five years ago, the receptionist would not let me use my trial and said I would have to purchase a $15.00 day pass. Ummmm, no. Thanks. As an employee of a company (I will not name the company) who has a corporate relationship to provide a discounted membership, I WILL NOT be using this company benefit to give Vasa my business. I was visiting from out of town and needed a gym to get a quick and convenient workout away from my hotel and stumbled across this gem. Morgen greeted me as soon as I walked through the doors and I asked her if they offered a free day pass and she pointed me to their website which allowed me to join. She was kind enough to guide me in the free weights direction and reassured me that she'll be at the front desk to answer any further question. I did my quick workout and told her I'd be in t li town all week. She quickly responded with suggestions that various Vasa fitness offered near by. I gladly thanked her and for her time and right before I left, she won me over and offered the complimentary massage they offered. By far, Morgen showed great customer service. I honestly love this gym. I love how it feels like home and how most of the staff welcomes you with open arms. However, there is a girl who works behind the front desk, Presley (I think), who welcomes me with a dirty look. She has talked bad about me and other members as well as talked bad about some of her co-workers (calling them stupid). Usually when I approach the front desk she will either give me a dirty look or walk away. She has also attempted to kick me out three times within the last month. Like I said, I love this gym, but one person can really ruin the experience for others. read more

Worst place ever! They dont want your money its ridiculous. This is a card only payment gym. I have gone in to pay my member ship with cash and they will not take it. Not only that but they send you to collections after you miss payments! I have told them i need to cancel my membership but guess what?? in order to do that you need to drive all the way to Orem. It was ok as a gym, but generally very crowded, and there was always a line to use the equipment I wanted to use. I tried to cancel my membership, and it was an ordeal. It is impossible to cancel online. When I tried the calling the cancellation phone number provided by VASA, the automated system repeatedly hung up on me. When I finally got through to someone (the cancellation process is outsourced), the person on the other end of the phone line insisted that they could not find my account information, and therefor would not be able to cancel my account. This went on for quite some time before my account was finally located. I was then informed that I would be charged a one month fee + a yearly maintenance fee to cancel my account (almost $80). I was way passed the 6 month mark where the contract I signed said there would no longer be any fees to cancel. What a bunch of B.S. Don't do it. read more

Make you pay $53 to cancel if you've been there for less than 90 days. I knew they would charge the $25 cancellation fee, as I've been going month to month for 19.99 per month, but they failed to tell me that on top of the last payment and cancellation fee there would be their guarantee of $53 if you go less than 90 days. They knew I was only going for about two months. VERY displeased and will not suggest this place to anyone. They did not care at all when I brought this up to them. On the other hand. It's just okay. Always seems too hot when the weather gets warm like they never use the A.C. There's been a few times I've gotten there at 5 an have had to wait for someone to get there to open it when it should already be opened. ** Update 3/18: This morning when I got to the gym at 6am it was still closed and dark even though it opens at 5am. Complete waste of time and sleep. Disappointing. Also they need to think about expanding because no matter when I go it is always swamped. WARNING: Ask everything about your memberships and fees including with it throroughly. This person who created a membership for us did not explain all the fees and "rules" so on a so forth. So after learning about it we decided to cancel our membership and it was a nightmare, we tried calling customer support number different times of day, and always on hold for at least 20 minutes just to hear "there is nothing we can do" THEN charges you some more for surprise fees. Had a membership at Golds. Moved out of state in May and walked in to give 30 days notice per contract. Apparently whoever took that didn't enter it in the system properly. Noticed in August (now living in CA) they were still charging me - called in and they refused to refund to initial notice. Put in 30 days in August. Got charged again in Sept and October. Called in AGAIN and they admitted they shouldn't have charged me and refunded Sept/Oct. Today I got a call from "Paramount Acceptance" who demanded I pay my "overdue dues to "Vasa Fitness" in Draper, UT" - apparently at some point after I moved out of state they changed the gym's name from Gold's to "Vasa". Paramount said they could see that I cancelled in August but they couldn't void the charges that had been made and instructed me to call Vasa. Apparently I'm not the first person this has happened to. When they switched names in November they switched billing systems and a lot of "deactivated" accounts were re-activated without notice. They acknowledged they shouldn't have billed me - refunded the 3 months I had been charged, and voided the pending charge. DO NOT SET UP AUTO PAY WITH THESE PEOPLE. Thay cannot be trusted to close an account and as evidenced by my story - good chance you'll continue to be charged for SIX MONTHS after you gave notice and will be called my collection groups until you explain and prove (again and again) that you cancelled...and then they'll refund you... read more

This gym is awful. I joined since gyms are sparse in draper. It was a terrible idea. During the time I have been a member almost 50% of the machines in the cardio cinema have been out of order. When I commented on it I was informed that it takes time to get the parts but that they have boxes of parts waiting to be installed. Great, you have parts in boxes, that helps my workout a lot. Also weight machines on the floor have also been out of service for weeks. Their guest policy allows you to bring as many guests as you would like, but they are required to provide a drivers license and fill out a form. First who takes ID to the gym and wants to remember to pick it up when they leave? Vasa then contacts your guests over and over trying to get them to sign up. Really annoying! Last people don't re-rack the weights and wipe down the machines. You can never tell if a spot is open since people don't pick up. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

This has been my main gym for the last few years, and it's made some significant upgrades as far as interior, cardio cinema, and its brand new turf. But when it comes to my cardio days, I tend to go to either the West Jordan or Riverton locations. Running is my preferred cardio, but the treadmills I prefer (the ones with the built in fans!!!) aren't at this gym. I've also been training with Allison for a year, and love her. She makes training fun, is always available to answer questions, provides great motivation for me, and makes me excited to go to the gym every day. read more

They really need better air-conditioning at this gym. It's way too hot. There aren't fans on the machines and half the time it doesn't even feel like the air conditioning is on. There are just fans on the ceiling. I'm tempted to stop going for this reason alone. I dread going to work-out because the heat is almost unbearable.
