This is a shady operation. I rented a space on a Saturday but could not get there before closing…read moretime to store the stuff. Went back on the next business day, Monday to request a refund. I figured the 15.00 "processing fee" would not be returned, but I expected the balance of 65.00. I was told by the nice clerk that she would have to call someone who would then call"corporate"--apparently corporate was located in another state. They would inquire about my refund. THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE ME THE NUMBER TO CORPORATE OFFICE. Trying to find them on-line is tricky. Only local numbers are listed. Even though I paid in cash they knew I could not receive a cash refund, IF I could be granted a refund. About 2 hours later onthe same day the very nice clerk called me back and said I would receive a check in the mail. Somehow I doubt it, but I will wait 30 days which will be up in another 2 weeks. DON't waste your time at your Personal Vault even if you do live downtown. Go further out. You will no doubt have a better experience, and a cleaner, more modern building.

Since they don't have a local site in Michigan, they subcontract with a moving company which packed our containers for us! I think that's the key to preventing things from breaking and getting scratched. They used huge sheets of padded packing paper (brown sheets sandwiching a thick paper towel like material) to wrap around everything. Both times the containers were available to delivery sooner than originally promised which is wonderful! We were able to schedule the drop offs both times on Saturdays.

I continued giving her my information and she continued with her irritated voice while she asked me questions. By the end of the call she asked if that was all and I said yes. That was the fastest someone hung up on me and she didn't even have the courtesy of saying bye. If I'm a customer that's been with them more than 4 years or so...wouldn't you want to treat someone good to have their ongoing business? I'm sorry but I will be leaving this place as soon as possible. Please work on your customer service skills.

The two man team led by Travis arrived on time, packed up the items and brought them to the new location. They removed items from my condo and took them to the street curb for refuse pick up and put the new items inside. The fragile lamps were packed in plenty of felt blankets so there was no damage and my sofa bed was wrapped in saran to protect it. Everything went on time and on schedule with no issues. It was just very sad to me that she had no empathy or care other than how much of a burden my car was. I was rudely asked if AAA was on the way. At that point they weren't but I did call and they said it could be up to an hour and a half. Luckily they came quick and ingot out of her precious driveway. I hope she doesn't run her business the same way because she was very rude and uncaring of another human being who clearly was having a rough moment. What goes around comes around.

I was never assigned a unit number and was informed that one would not be assigned until I signed a lease.
