Good place here. Rick the service manager i believe is awesome. He is a outstanding guy, VERY knowledgeable and straight to the point of things. I have had work done with the company twice. An employee of mine who has a VW also told me to check them out, and so i did, best decision ever. I will no longer go to the stealership. First time my car was overheating and i wanted it checked out to find out why. They went in and was able to diagnose the problem in no time. Sucks because the time i started notice my overheating problem was literally a minute after i came from the VW dealership after having my catalytic converter replaced. They should have noticed something was wrong, but that was my blessing in disguise. Anyhoo, I went to rick and the guys found out i needed a fuse box replaced. Rick suggested at some point i would need new brakes and some struts. He did let me know that i did not have to get it THAT DAY and that i had a few months to go on them, but i decided to get them anyway. While making that decision, he explained to me what struts were for, and how to know when they are bad,etc. So yes very informative he was. So i pick up my car with no problems. I get home about 45 mins later and my check engine light goes off. I immediately call Rick to let him know and because it was almost closing time, i went to him the next day. I needed new vacuum hoses, they had to order them i believe, so i had to go back later that day. They fixed my hoses and just charged me for parts and no labor. AWESOME!!!! For a second i started to think i had gotten GOT and taken advantage of, but not charging me the labor eased my mind. Car had been going good since. William Hopper is an excellent tech, he explained what he fixed, and how certain things should perform better,etc. My second time there was about three weeks ago. I had tires replaced a month ago and my car had been making this kinda funny noise ever since. I went to Rick and the guys, we went for a little ride so he could hear the noise and instantly he knew it was my wheel bearings in the back. They ahd to order it in, so i was thinking i was gonna take my car and come back the next day. Rick said that was not a good idea and that i should leave the car cause the bearings sounded so bad that my wheel could come off any moment.Again he explained to me how wheel bearings work and what the would be doing,etc. Car was fixed and everything is fine now. I actually have to go to him tomorrow cause the black lining in my shifter snapped. Hopefully its a quick and easy fix. I cringe to think what I would be paying for these repairs at the dealership. either way, you owe it to yourself to try them at least once. Trust me you will come back for more. Anyone i know that has a vw i tell them to go there if they have problems. read more

The place Zig recommended for a headliner replacement was indeed MUCH cheaper than any of the other places I called, and if he likes their work then it's good enough for me! read more

I put a lot of miles on my TDI, and can't be stranded. VDUBS and Zig are great. Preventative maintenance is about half what the dealership was charging and they're professional, with no unnecessary sales. If they recommend a repair or service, you need it. I've been a regular customer since 2012 and would recommend them to work on your Volkswagen or any other vehicle. read more

Peyman is a straight up scam artist. Nothing about this transaction left me with a warm and fuzzy. He demanded payment before I was even able to inspect the vehicle (ebay transaction), the car was an absolute lemon right off the lot. I've had over $2,000 worth of repairs on a car that only had 19k miles. I'm glad to hear that others have had more positive experiences as I would NEVER buy from this dealership again! He was anything but professional and made me feel like I was dealing with a mobster. 100% thumbs down on this business. Yuck. read more

AS BAD AS IT CAN GET. They charged as much as an authorized VW dealer, but they are not. They are only a used car lot. I took my VW there for some basic work and they charged me for unnecessary repairs. Didn't fix the problem and broke several of my car's panels (dash & door). They tried to give my car back to me in that condition. They do not have the correct training or skill set to work on VW. I am angry at myself for taking my car to them. Don't make the same mistake. read more

Very unhappy with this dealership. Took my son's 97 Jetta in to have the air conditioner looked at because there was no cold air. While it was in the shop, based on good reviews I had seen, I asked them to look over the car for any other issues. I spent $90 on A.C tune up. This included them checking the unit and replacing the coolant. They said the AC was great. They also informed us the car needed front end work $1400 and gaskets replaced $350. I took the car back the next day because the AC was still not working. They looked at it and said they had somehow missed that the AC compressor was blown and needed to be replaced. I spent $90 for this? $1600 to fix the AC on top of the $90 I already wasted. We decided not to have the AC fixed. Despite being very unhappy about the AC debacle, we took the car in to have the front end work and the gaskets done. They just informed me the $1420 is actually going to cost me $1920 because they could not see until they got the front end removed what all needed to be done. Why could they not inform me of this possibility from the start? I did pay for a thorough inspection of the car to find any issues. Another waste of money. They did give me the option to back out of the addition work, but since the car was already disassembled I gave them the go ahead, against my better judgment. Once we pick the car up. We will never go back to this dealership. I feel as though I have been given the runaround and taken advantage of at every turn. read more

My experience with VDubs Only was a horrible one. I had my car in for oil change, inspection, front axle replacement, and a heater core replacement. The core involved removing the dashboard. The interior of my car was left with greasy hand and footprints, and a large scratch across the shifter knob. I spent hours scrubbing and brought the car back three times for antifreeze odor over a month after service. When I picked up the car, the inspection had not been done, and the receipt ($1980) showed no record of an oil change. I was told "we changed the oil, we didn't charge for it". The oil filter was still dusty and was a NAPA brand which they don't use. The oil had not been changed but I needed to go and would have to bring it back. As I started to drive off, the antilock brakes kicked in every time I applied the brakes. I had to leave the car overnight, again. After the return trip for the oil change and inspection, I had to clean again. About two weeks later, I discovered the axle had a defective clamp on the grease boot. I was told it was under warranty so I brought it back for replacement (I put a secret mark on the axle in case they "replaced it"). They instead "repaired it". A short time later, I had work done at another dealer and was told it had failed again. Back I went, and was told that the axle had been replaced, not just repaired on my last visit. While the axle was removed, I revealed my secret mark, and their lie. They shut up. To their credit, they did discount my services by providing the oil change and inspection free of charge, and did finally replace the axle under warranty. Overall though, I would not recommend this dealer unless you like being lied to! read more

I had very high hopes for this place because of the such amazing reviews. Well I show up, and pay the $60 diagnostics fee. Not too bad. Then, I get quoted for around $2,000 worth of repairs! I've been to 3 other mechanics, and they never even mentioned any of the repairs that I've heard here. Now either they know better that the past 3 mechanics, or they're trying to milk me. But that's not even what sparked me to come onto Yelp and leave a bad review. I took my car in on a Tuesday morning, it wasn't very busy. Took them about an hour to do the diagnostics- no complaints there. I leave the shop, and then a couple of days later, I pop my hood just to take a look around. My entire engine cover is gone! I called back on a Thursday at 4:30. No answer. And I didn't get a call back until Monday morning saying that they have the cover and for me to come get it whenever I need. So I thought, okay maybe it was just an accident, maybe they just forgot to put it on. I showed up, and he said "okay let me go grab that for you". He comes back with an engine cover that looks absolutely nothing like my engine cover. So he goes back into the garage and comes back with, yet again, a different engine cover. So at this point, he says "okay go ahead and come back into the garage to look for it". I walk back there and see at least, at least, 15-20 engine covers spread out around the garage. Accidentally forgetting to put the engine cover on 15-20 different cars? I don't think so. Finally, I found it in the very corner of the garage. At least he put it on and apologized afterwards. In my opinion, that was the sketchiest experience I've ever had at a mechanic. Not to mention how horrible of a first impression that was. Most likely won't be back. read more

I had to go take my car into VDubs several times for the same problem. My VW wouldn't start without a jump start. They told me that the battery needed to be replaced. I went ahead and authorized them to do so. I drove the car for less than a day and my car wouldn't start again. I kept having to jump start it to get it going. I took it back to VDubs. They told me that the problem is with the alternator. I asked them to refund the battery, but they said that my old one had already been disposed of. So, I bought a new battery for nothing. I was upset, but at that point I just wanted my car fixed to be able to get back and forth to work. I went ahead and let them change my alternator and they put the battery on a charger to charge it back up. After that, I drove the car for almost another day before it wouldn't start again without a jump start. I took the car back for the third time. They said that the car's main computer needs to be changed. That was a very expensive repair. At that point I decided to take it for a second opinion. I had another shop check my car and they found that a poor ground for the alternator was the problem. There was nothing wrong with my battery or the alternator itself. The new shop properly grounded it and now it's been several days and I have had no problems. I went to VDubs to tell them and see if they would do anything about my being out so much money for the unnecessary repair that they did. They told me that sometimes several parts have to be changed to narrow down a problem. That makes no sense. The reason people take their cars to a professional repair shop is for them to properly diagnose a problem the first time and correctly repair it the first time too. If I had let them continue trying to fix my car, they would have unnecessarily changed the car's computer, and then who knows what else they would have tried to change until they finally figured out the problem. At this point I don't even know if they were really trying to change parts until they could figure out what was wrong, or if they were just trying to have me continue to spend money just to increase their revenue. Maybe it's both. When I was finally leaving Vdubs, I told them that I was going to leave a review on Yelp, and they laughed at me. I asked them what was so funny and one of them told me to go ahead and do it and he would make sure the review gets removed. I didn't know what he meant by that so I didn't know how to respond back. It's disturbing that they don't care that I was unhappy with what happened or that I would be leaving a poor review. read more
