I got the opportunity to volunteer here through my employer and got to meet with several members of the staff including the volunteer manager. Everyone working there is truly passionate about the mission of this establishment, it's contagious. The horses all appeared happy and content, as if they knew that they were serving a greater purpose. The energy here is calm and peaceful. You can completely disconnect from the outside world and be in the present moment. Volunteers are always needed as they rely heavily on the time and contributions of others and there are countless ways to help. Perhaps you'd like to be a side walker, helping support a rider as they are led around the arena or track, someone who exercises the horses, or maybe someone who does more behind the scenes work by taking care of the stalls (mucking of course) and/or the paddocks. Not only did he provide detailed information about the pricing and availability of their 10x15 units, but he also mentioned promotions on their 10x14 units as a possible alternative. What really stood out to me was Mark's exceptional customer service -- when I returned a few days later to reserve the unit, he remembered my name. I also noticed him greeting other tenants by name as they walked in. Mark truly raises the bar for storage services. His charisma, professionalism, and personal touch made a lasting impression. It's rare to find someone who combines strong customer service skills with such genuine attentiveness.

Buying clothing without being able to try it on--and then being stuck with store credit if it doesn't fit--just doesn't work for me. I was also disappointed to learn that Value Village is a for-profit company, unlike Goodwill, which supports nonprofit programs. Knowing that, combined with the fitting room and return policy, makes it hard for me to justify shopping here again. I appreciate Megan's excellent customer service, but these policies were enough that I'll be taking my thrift shopping elsewhere.

Our son, who recently graduated from Goddard Pre-K into Kindergarten, started at this Goddard when…read morehe was 1 year old in the midst of the pandemic. The school kept him safe and healthy (they only had 2-3 covid cases, never in his class) and also provided an enriching, fun environment. Once he started the pre-K section he was stimulated, learned all his letters, and began learning numbers. The class worked together on packets, while continuing fun and enriching activities on the side. He left very prepared for Kindergarten and had no issues transitioning due to their solid preparation. During his time there my son made great friends who he has continued with into kindergarten. When issues arose (as they do over a nearly 5 year period) we were able to resolve them quickly through meetings with teachers and staff. We always felt listened to and felt that issues were taken seriously and acted upon. I would highly recommend this Goddard to anyone looking based on our extended experience there.

Just like most new moms, I was very nervous leaving my baby and going back to work but the Goddard staff made us so comfortable from the beginning by providing kind, supportive, educated communication. The owner, Shauna, and the entire administrative staff are fantastic. Very hands on and with great communication, always open to answering questions and providing updates. The teachers in the infant class are caring, loving and provide a safe environment for babies to grow and explore. My son moved from the infants to toddler room a few months ago and the teachers in toddler class (Squirrels) are just as amazing. They do such a great job of taking care of the kids, teaching them, making connection with them and making sure they have fun. We were amazed when my son started doing sign language to communicate and it seems like he is learning something new everyday. He loves going to school and he loves his teachers, and enjoys the wide range of activities specially music class and going out. It has been an incredible journey for us to see him grow and learn new things and we owe it to the fantastic team at Goddard. Bellevue Botanical Garden is a beautiful place. And the fact that it is always free too! It's open…read moreevery day even holidays! To be a small botanical garden, there's a nice walking path and many, many beautiful flowers and plants to see. There are often local community events hosted here. Activities for the young to adults. They have classes that you can find and sign up for on their website as well. And the classes are affordable!! You may even see people taking wedding photos here because again it's beautiful. The park is ADA friendly. The path is dirt and pebbled but can be navigated with a wheelchair. There are bathrooms on site and a small shop. I have never purchased bulbs or plants from here but I know there is a big community around that. The coffee shop in the garden can get busy. But a benefit is we were able to charge my husband's wheelchair there on a visit. While the park is open every day, the coffee shop is not. Definitely this should be a spot for all locals. And not just a one time visit either.

Once the entire family met up, we climbed back into the car and headed to Bellevue. Not sur if it was due to the time. But we were surprised there was a lot of parking available. We spent a good 2-hrs here which included getting lost and finding other street entries into the botanical park from a school and from other busy street corner at the bottom of the park. Nice and shaded, quiet little creeks, plenty of seating for those that were inspired to journal, plenty of elderly people using this time to exercise and stretch. We enjoyed the different areas like the swinging bridge, the Japanese garden and even the little cafe they have there. Fairly priced items and plenty of tables to enjoy a refreshment and snack. By the time we were done, the gift shop was already closed. So I took the opportunity to drop a donation into the box instead.
