We were able to play a custom video of our relationship while guest arrived. They tailored a elegant light display using our wedding colors. We had a beautiful monogram displayed for us. Our paid violinist did not show to do our wedding march. Michael was able to cover it for us. It wasn't even a question- it was like 'hey we got this'. They're super flexible too! I had an outdoor venue in May which is hit and miss weather wise. Rain, rain went away and I had an outdoor and indoor dance floor simultaneous. Now how many other ppl can you get that from with out being charged extra? Our venue Ranch Austin held a open house, yes they had a preferred DJ vender there. But don't be fooled by the prices and their so-so Dj packages and we're on the exclusive venue list. Keep in mind that they pay to be on the list and pass that cost to you. Fast forward to today and I have nothing but great things to say about them. They run a quality business and magazine that is a great resource to the community not only Brides. We have found food vendors, photographers, and rental companies (graduation party) through Bliss, all of them were a pleasure to deal with. Regardless of what your event is Bliss's vendor list is so comprehensive it is more than likely you will find the right vendor for you. Bliss has also hosted events in Austin that were beyond fabulous, if you ever have the opportunity to attend one, GO! They are nothing short of fabulous. The owner (Angela) is at every event and makes time to visit with all of her vendors/guest and she is pure joy. She is one of the most humble, hardworking and kind business owners I have ever had the opportunity to meet. Aside from being a savvy business woman she also has a giving heart. A few years non profits that I am involved with, CASA, and Settlement Home were considering bringing in business woman that could help with our youth population. Angela did not hesitate to come to Austin to share of herself in hopes of helping these kiddos. If you are hosting or considering hosting a special event big or small than Bliss Bridal Magazine is a must.

My fiancé and I paid extra to attend the VIP…read morecocktail hour and magazine launch that included early access, a VIP swag bag, the new issue of the magazine, and complimentary cocktails 30 minutes before the show began. We showed up on time and were greeted by chaos and "it doesn't start until 1." We explained we were there for the VIP early cocktail hour and they said they cancelled it. No email, no notification, nothing. They had to give us and several other guests our refunds that were $5 per ticket (so it was brought back to the price of a regular ticket and raffle). I will say, they did give us the "VIP bag" which included 6 outdated magazines with the same information and a notepad. After this, we waited in line to receive our raffle tickets (two cards that had coupons, discounts or free things from different vendors) and were told they didn't have my name, after we had paid for them. The lady told me she would "try to email them to me" so we could collect them from the vendors but after a few hours, I went back and had no email from them and the lady in charge (who didn't even bother looking at us and talking to us despite being feet away) told another girl they would just put our names in the big drawing. They didn't even take our names to add them to the big drawing so that was a lie. We talked to a bar company- one of the vendors present who could only give away "mocktails" (non alcoholic cocktails) because they were told they couldn't hand out alcohol. About 20 feet away was another bar company, *not wearing masks* handing out alcohol to anyone without an ID check, and right next to them was another company handing out tequila and whiskey shots. No police officers were present which is a requirement when alcohol is present. Throughout the event, there was little to no organization, it was not Covid safe although individual vendors did what they could, and I as a bride felt like I never wanted to go to another show and be treated the way I was ever again.

He was available for our second date of choice, but then that got pushed back too so we tried a third time. We spoke over text/email, and I felt a connection. That connection grew stronger when we spoke briefly on the telephone, but once we met Fr Jef in person, I had zero doubt that he was the officiant for us. He is kind, caring, has a tangible warmth, and above all is just a terrific person. He is professional but still can absolutely joke around and have a great time. He is also absolutely hilarious. His attention to detail is second to none. I am not sure what his middle name actually is, but my guess would be punctual because he is NEVER not on time which is obviously fantastic. He put our minds at ease, and we just felt safe and secure in his presence. The speech he wrote for us at our wedding was simultaneously beautiful, touching, and downright funny. I could tell everyone in attendance LOVED him. But above all, I love him. He is the right man for the job and makes every single couple feel so special on their big day. After the ceremony, I had probably 10 different people come up to me and say how wonderful they thought Fr Jef was. I said well of course he is - he's Fr Jef Johnson for crying out loud! They of course asked where I had found him, and I said that he had officiated my cousin's wedding in 2016, but I am assuming if you are reading this review right now then that means you are looking for someone to look out for you on your wedding day. Well let me tell you this: look no further. You've found the officiant for you, and it's Fr Jef. Thank you for everything, Jef! We couldn't be happier with our decision.
