A week later my alternator went out and I took it back to 24th right away. They were on it right away and I can tell they really care about getting my car back to a reliable state. Juan charged me $850. Then I sold the no good motor to A & B Truck Salvage for $25. This was July 2025. Juan Carlos did a good job installing my used motor. Then July 2026 the valve cover gasket and another seal was leaking so badly, oil was spattering on the ground when engine was on. I also needed window regulator replaced (I provided the part) on my drivers side window. Juan Carlos repaired both for $350. I broke twice after they said it was fixed. I was trying to explain what issue kept arising & the guy kept cutting me off just saying it costs a lot of money. Literally just playing around in my car & not fixing the main issue. They just made a lot of money doing maintenance & now my car had been towed back home & basically totaled. Im the kind of guy that is able to fix things like this but hard to do from so far away. It's hard to find a trustworthy mechanic especially so far away. Not only was he able to come out and diagnose the problem the same day but he was able to order parts and repair it quickly. It was a tough starter change due to the location and having to remove the manifold ect. I know because ive done it once already and its a very complex repair. The parts cost more than anticipated due to the extra gaskets and coolant needed and he still honored the original quote. We gave him extra because of all the extra work he did. He topped off her break fluid, air in the tires, gave it a once over to make sure that it was tip top shape. Also gave my daughter an education on her car. Even took pictures of all the parts and video of it running smooth. As a father it puts me at ease knowing that I can call him in the future I wish I had mechanics like him closer to me.
