To their credit, once I called them out and explained the ongoing problem, they agreed to take another look at my car. I appreciate that they took responsibility and made the effort to correct the situation. As a note outside of the service I received, the signage about upgrades to the waiting area was up in February as well and there's been no discernible updates when I was there in September for a repair. Earlier this year, she'd started leaking transmission fluid and she'd already had a long time issue with keeping the cooling system going... I also knew my brakes were acting up but well...money! So for months and months it was refill the radiator and transmission and cross my fingers! Finally I did some research and decided John's was the place to go! After I dropped her off, I was given a list of other issues she had (a few belts and hoses) which didn't surprise me any given her age! lol! My chassis and internal mechanisms aren't what THEY once were either! Ha! Anyway I told them yes, to go ahead and repair the "must have fixed" issues! She was returned to me in a timely manner and for what I would call an extremely fair price (under $2500) for 3 major repairs, an oil change and even a few new belts and filters! The staff were wonderful with keeping me up to date on how things were going along the way too ...as she's nearly 40 some parts took a minute! Anyway after all these months since I took her in, she's STILL running like a top and even though I check my coolant and transmission fluid regularly, she has never even needed topping off so she's sound as a drum! I'm SO glad I found this shop with all these kind, caring, knowledgeable (and most of all FAIR!) people working away to make my old girl run like she used to!
