This was a vegan restaurant experience at a whole different level! The ambiance, service, atmosphere, and vibe all exceeded expectations. There was a small 5 minute wait but we'll worth it. Upon being seated upstairs we ordered via cell by QR code (located on our table) We ordered the Nacho Nacho for an appetizer and the Notorious and VGFB Cheezy Chikn with fries for the entree's. The Nachos with the meat and cheese were delicious! The VGFB Chick'n that I ordered was good but I added bacon and that was a mistake. I'll be sure to order without vegan bacon next time. Jasmine enjoyed the Notorious burger and fries. She also had the Holy Dragon and gave it a thumbs up. What really stands out about this place was the large selection of vegan options, the trendy atmosphere and the upbeat music playing in the background. Not so sure if any of the sumo was freshly fried, and the service was weak. All 4 sauces tasted exactly the same the only difference was color. With the "beyond meat" and "impossible burger" craze happing Stateside right now, it's fun to note these folks have been doing it up this way for a few years now like it's nothing. Was in Amsterdam over the weekend and looking for new food options. Found this on Yelp and thought I'd give it a try. Menu had a good variety of items. I went with the Heppi Ribs and fries. Food was delivered in expected amount of time and was very good. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day, so the patio was full of people eating and drinking. The service was good, the host and waitress were nice and very informative of the food and made great recommendations. VJB is known for their vegan burgers, but instead I got their sashimi. I got it mainly out of curiosity. The texture of the sashimi was very similar to real sashimi which is impressive. Wasn't the biggest fan of the sashimi, but my company had gotten other dishes which I had bites of which was good. The drinks were excellent and I highly advise trying their drinks. I got the tipsy unicorn which was vodka, blue curaçao liquor, lychee juice, blueberry purée, and lemon juice. Could barely taste the alcohol. I was surprised by how dead this place was. I thought the food was delicious. The service was good to, but be sure you get their attention and call them over when you need something. I ordered the chickn salad and we shared the bitterballen. I would recommend getting the sampler, but if I went again I would get the falafel flavored only. They were awesome. Delicious vegan food and great cocktails. The restaurant is pink and trendy. They offer vegan salads and burgers and have delicious fries. The menu seemed like a lot of American food. The vegan meat tasted exactly like real beef in the burger and the vegan chicken in the salad even fooled my non-vegan boyfriend. They spilt the checks to give us 4 individual ones which was nice, too. The location of this restaurant is central and on a great street with a lot of other trendy bars and fun night life.
