My husband and I took the tour with Adam. Adam was great! He was very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Adam was also awesome in taking us out even when we were the only ones in the group. (They usually cancel if there's less than four). Adam brought us around and provided a lot of detail to the influence of the mob on Vegas and where movies like Casino were filmed. Adam clearly enjoys his job which makes it more enjoyable. The wife and I took this tour back in 2018 when Frank Cullotta was still alive, and doing the tours. It was a very good and interesting tour. I'm sure the tour is stilling stopping at the same places. The house Lefty lived in the movie Casino. The place where Frank Cullotta's pizza restaurant was called the Upper Crust. Where the Lefty Rosenthal was blown up in his Cadillac. Big Bertha's where the Hole in the Wall gang was all arrested at, and many other interesting places. This is a two and a half hour "tour" that begins at the Royal Resort on Convention Center Drive, and it covers much of the history of Las Vegas when the Mob had tremendous influence and controlled much. Much of the tour consists of sitting on the bus in the shade of some buildings while the tour director describes mob activities and shows photos and video on the flat panel at the front of the bus. The first talk was about 15 minutes as we sat in the shade of the buildings west of the Royal Resort. We then took a circuitous route down Convention Center Drive, made a left on Paradise, went to Sahara where we made a right, turned right on Joe W. Brown and then parked in the shade of the Las Vegas Hilton near its Sports Book entrance. From there we went back down Joe W. to karen to Maryland to Sahara to Tony Roma's where Frank Rosenthal survived a car bombing attempt on October 4, 1982. See what I mean about how the "tour" goes. For a local, it was awful to see the roundabout way we were going. As a tourist, I might not have noticed. The material offered during the tour is excellent. There just isn't enough to see on the tour. The only place we got out of the bus and toured anything was the last place, the Flamingo Hotel, where we walked to Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel's Garden. Now that I know where it is I'll be back to see it in daylight. We were fortunate to have as our narrator Dennis Griffin, the author of several books. He has a lot of knowledge. We went on the Vegas Mob tour and  since I cannot give a 0 rating on yelp, this one star is for our tour guide and ONLY due to him. I think his name was Bobby and not only was he very knowledgeable of mob history, he dressed up in a sharp pin striped suit for the tour, giving us that extra mob feel. Other than that, I was incredibly disappointed. We were picked up from the Tuscany Casino by a tour bus and driven around Vegas. Mini tv's around the bus played a video dedicated to mob history as we drove, which was informative, but I could have googled most of what was presented. They were also having constant technical difficulties, starting and stopping, etc. It was a "new system" so while it was annoying, I could sort of understand. We drove around Vegas and sat in the bus on the side of buildings and parking lots, pointing out where things used to be (this person was car bombed here, this is where a famous mob hang out used to be) all while they played clips of the movie Casino. Where was the "dark side of sin city" as this $100 tour claimed to offer? MY MAIN ISSUE WAS WITH THE BUS ITSELF AND THE OWNER. The bus we traveled on had such a poor AC unit, it was located in the roof of the bus and the flow of air failed to reach the very back of the packed tour bus. For 2 hours, my mom and I fanned ourselves with our mob tour programs, praying for it to be over. The worst part? It was OBVIOUS the riders in the back of the bus were uncomfortable and the owner actually SAW THAT. He turned around a few times to address the bus riders, and saw us melting. Where was he seated? Yeah, right towards the front, under the flow of AC. So we pulled back up to the Tuscany after being in our torture chamber for 2 hours, stood up covered in sweat, our pants stuck to the backs of our legs, got off the bus, hailed a cab and NEVER looked back. Didn't even care to consume our pizza dinner they offered. I was planning on speaking with the owner to voice my dissatisfaction, but my mother (who has a serious heart condition) was about to have a heat stroke right in front of me. So I chose to take care of getting her back to our hotel instead. Just sad... This tour has A LOT of issues, and was a complete waste of my time. And trust me, if my mother ended up in the hospital due to this rolling death trap, I would be writing this review from county jail. read more

No seance? We were robbed! It was fun regardless... the tour guide was a tad bit hokey but 'old man' hokey so I guess that's okay, plus you can just ignore him if he gets on your nerves. ;-) Luckily, there was a lot to see on this tour so it does keep ya engaged. Cons: The bus is a bit of a tight fit. My friend and I are not tiny but we're not huge either and we had a tough time squeezing into the seats side by side. We also had two very large (300lbs+) men in front of us who were each hanging on by a buttcheek. It was a bit of a bummer for me and my friend sitting right behind them cuz it blocked the view of the TV in the corner which shows alot of the tour detail. Of course, this wasn't really the tour's fault but it's something to keep in mind when selecting your seats on the bus. Another downside is we did this tour in December and it was COLD! Alot of the tour is outside and we didn't prepare well cuz I was friggin freezing everytime we stepped outta the bus. When I tried to get back on the bus early they would only let me if there was two people so keep that in mind. I think they shoul've warned us to bring a jacket or something. All in all though it was a fun tour and included a lot of interesting 'supposedly' haunted sights. I enjoyed it but I'd also HIGHLY suggest you look for a deal/discount as they seem to be everywhere and not sure if it's worth the full price. read more

I so want to give this more stars just because everyone associated with this tour was so nice but nice doesn't win the race. Becky that arranged the tour, our driver, the owners of the "Casino" house, folks at Angelina's pizza and Bobby Lucetta our tour guide were fabulous. But I'm not really reviewing them, it's about the tour. I use the word "tour" lightly. We ended up being the only 2 people on the tour. Meeting at the Royal Resort we were escorted to a van where the tour began...press play and the video begins. Most of the tour was us watching a video in a van driving around seedy Las Vegas neighborhoods. There was a lot of interesting information but I feel the tour part could be done better. Our only stop of the evening where we were able to get out of the van was at the house that the movie "Casino" was filmed. The owner came out to say hi and take some pictures which was a pleasant surprise. We eventually had a "pizza party" at Angelina's pizza. Our beverage choice was water and we shared a pepperoni pizza which was very average, it was described to us as authentic New York pizza...are you sure you've ever had authentic New York pizza? Because this wasn't it, authentic Dominos copycat pizza maybe. Soon after we found ourselves heading back to the Royal Resort after one more tour stop. Luckily I had won these tickets at a raffle, I was shocked when I heard the price. We've been on cheaper tours that were better than this, sadly I wouldn't recommend this tour. read more

Excellent! Bobby the tour guide is the best. He looks and dresses the pert. He has spent so much time researching and learning every small detail. Before you go on the tour watch the movie casino. You get to stop by so many historical spots from the mob days and from scenes of the movie Casino. The only part that was disappointing was the end of tour pizza. We saw the house Robert DeNiro and Sharon Stones characters lived in for the movie Casino, and we were even able to get out and have our picture taken in front of the house! They taught us a lot about Las Vegas and the history of its rise to the city it is today. I would recommend this tour to anyone that is interested in the mob, or history in general! When I went in 2012, there was an added "seance" at the end which was fun but unnecessary. The tour was so much fun and informative that I wish it would never end. The mood was kept light though out the night, which I appreciated because some of stories were down right depressing (Las Vegas is the Suicide capital of the world). There was a moment when we were given dowsing rods and allowed to investigate a haunted park. It was so much fun. I would definitely like to do it again. read more

The Vegas Mob Tour was my good friends idea. To tell you the truth, I thought it would be pretty cool! Being that I love legendary gangster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel. When It was time, we got in a bus and proceeded around downtown Las Vegas. At the same time of the drive "Bobby", our Tour Guide dressed in his gangster attire proceeds to tell us about the Vegas Mob scene and thier dity dealings, not to mention he has a video to coinside with what he's talking about.. some still shots were pretty cool! I will say he was VERY informative. After about the 1st hour my butt got numb from sitting. In all it was good a Good Tour! Kinda expensive... thank you to my friend for paying... :) if you don't already know the Vegas Mob History and you have I believe it was $60.00 per person to spend, I'd say, "GO!" It was fun! One of my favorite things I've ever done! It was a blast. I learned so much about the history of Vegas. My boyfriend and I went exploring again after the tour for hours we were so interested. Then we went back again this year and did the company's new ghost tour in Goodsprings. AWESOME!!!! These guys know what they are doing and have one of the best tours out there. I enjoyed learning the history of Good Springs, but the ghost hunt was a disappointment. I expected to go inside old miner cabins and to walk through the cemetery, but that does not happened. You stand on the road in front of the cabins with K2 meters. I took my own meter and it was quiet, while the meters provided by the tour guides were blinking like crazy! At the end of the tour you stand outside the gate of the cemetery and it's too dark to see a single headstone. I could go on, but you get the point. If you are a serious ghost hunter this is NOT a ghost hunt, it's a scam. read more

I thought this tour was fun. I just wrote a very long review for the Mob tour (same bus, same company), so my fingers are hurting, and I will keep this one shorter. First off, I don't know what everyone is talking about with the seance. We didn't have one. They gave us divining rods to see if we could detect ghost energy. We stopped at 3 places (a park, a bridge, and the Flamingo). Much of the tour was on the bus, looking at picture and video clips, which was my favorite part. It was highly interesting, and you got some of the history of Vegas (and Vegas casualties). I learned a lot, and I enjoyed it. We didn't need to be outside for quite so long in the cold weather. None of us caught anything on our cameras. So it wasn't too scary. Just informative. The tour guide was a man in his 70's. He told many jokes. At first it was funny, but then it was too much. It was almost like he was auditioning for a stand up comedy bit, and after a while it got old. But I really liked him (much better than the smoking mob tour guide) and thought he had a great attitude. Also, the hotel where you start does have a bar, so you can have a cocktail beforehand (a reviewer from 2010 said that it didn't, so they must have added the bar recently?). Ample parking, so it's an easy drive. Again, don't pay full price. It's easy to pay half price from the website directly or from a groupon special. read more

My husband and I took this tour for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I have done other haunted tours in the past however this was my husband's first time. We had such a great experience. David and Eddie were our tour guides on the Goodsprings, NV trip which included dinner at the notorious Pioneer Saloon. We got some great pictures which included orbs, partial body apparitions, and the demonic looking face of the Ice Man. We even had a visit from little Jessica, the 8yr old who lived in the ice cream shop. The guy doing the tour was nice and sweet and did a good job. this tour is not bad but not great. I am just glad we got the tickets ont he 1/2 price site instead of the full $72 price. So not worth the full price. But for 2.5 hours of driving around the city seeing different sites and getting some history of the town is neat. We got off the bus 2 times to see areas that are suon theppose to be haunted. We took several pics but didn't get any good images of ghosts or energies. But overall was something different other then sitting in the casinos. read more

For the most part, Norm's review is real accurate. I think I just enjoyed it more. The tour is full of useless information, but it's interesting stuff told from the perspective of people who lived and worked in Vegas during those shady times. The mini-bus was comfortable and the tour, while not super exciting, was very informative. If you're into the mob thing or work in the casino industry (as I do) and just want some good background on how it all started in Vegas, then I'd highly recommend this tour. If you're looking for lots of laughs, excitement or groundbreaking revelations then you might be somewhat disappointed. It's an informative, interesting and factual account of mob life as it was in Vegas back before the big corporations moved in. It's entertaining if you're into that kind of thing, otherwise you'd be better off just renting the Casino DVD and going to see a comedy or magic show somewhere. I also had a Groupon, and I was also glad but not because I didn't think the tour was worth the full price of $60. I was glad 'cause I'm cheap. I would tell friends to spend the $60 & see the show, but only if I knew they would find the information presented to be fascinating stuff. For people not really into old Vegas or mob stories, it might get boring real quick since there's not a whole lot of sightseeing and traveling as Norm mentioned in his review. We thought the tour was fun, and Bobby was really funny and knowledgeable. We liked seeing the casino house, but thought there would be more to the tour than riding around and watching videos. We enjoyed the stories, but we had to ride in a van which was very difficult to get in and out of, especially for two passengers who had disabilities. We bought the Rat Pack package, and the dinner was excellent (they even let us come back after the show for our dessert) and the show was awesome! We loved the haunted Vegas tour!! our driver was very cool and our host she was very cool too. The tour van was fun and exciting with a monitor showing the haunted places in Las Vegas with truly haunting true life and death experiences. We visited a haunted bridge, haunted parks and got to see red Foxx's home. We took photos and captured orbs and unexplainable images very, very creepy. We made several contacts that night and heard voices from the decease victims and it's was very intense and scary as we never heard or witness this before. we thank all of you who past on and allowed us to come into your world. the tour was 3 1/2 hours and we will never forget this night! This Ghost Hunt is Great on So many levels! First of all, before you even get to the isolated old town of Goodsprings, you get a great little mini-tour of Haunted Las Vegas as you leave the city. I never knew that the Stratosphere was haunted, let alone by TWO ghosts, but it is! Riviera, Venetian, Luxor, Mandalay Bay: HAUNTED! So cool... Anyway, once you get to GS, you begin at the amazingly cool Pioneer Saloon, which just celebrated it's 100-Year Birthday! To step into that all-original building is just wonderful. The ghost hunt takes place there and at other 100+-year old buildings that are left standing around the town, including a real "negative energy" place, and ends at the (dun-Dun-DUN) cemetery.
